What is the album Purpose really about? On November 13, 2015 Justin Bieber made a comeback with "Purpose" and proved to the world that he's changed for the better. Purpose is mainly about Bieber and all the obstacles he had to overcome to get to where he wants to be. Bieber admits to his mistakes and wants to make peace with the world. In 2015, Bieber tried to aim his music toward everyone and not just girls in his new album Purpose; so that he could get his message out to the world. Bieber did this to show the world that he's changed and asks the world for forgiveness for all the wrong doings. Personally, I really enjoy listening to Purpose because it's a well written album that has a special meaning behind every song. To me, Bieber is a …show more content…
For instance, February 18 of 2010, many people started hating on Bieber when he first released his hit single "Baby". According to an article from (Prabhat Royal), the author mentions that Bieber can't sing. I'm assuming the author of this article is a girl and she mentioned "When I heard him for the first time, I was like – Oh my god, who is this girl? Then my friends told me that he was a guy." The author also mentioned that he sounds like a girl crying in his hit song "Baby" and states, "Justin looks like a girl crying – Baby, Baby, Baby oh." Apart from Biebers voice, many people dislike him because of his actions. For example, on July 11 of 2013, Bieber made headlines by peeing into a restaurant mop bucket; which had a picture of Bill Clinton. After making headlines nationwide, everyone was quick enough to start hating because of what he did and he appeared to be making fun of Bill Clinton; which was the 42nd president of the U.S. In my opinion, society saw this as unrespectful because Bill Clinton was seen as not important to Bieber. Besides the fact that he did that, I understand why people hate Bieber so much because he made a lot of mistakes that people didn’t agree with back in
I was talking with my aunt about current events, to the extent a thirteen year old can discuss such a thing, and she asked me with a slightly disarming fervor if I was a Kanye West fan. “No” I remarked innocently. “I mean I liked that one song he was on, but I would hardly call myself a fan” I thought. “He’s prejudiced ya know” warned my aunt I found out later that week that the man had apparently made a fool out of himself publicly, jumping on stage and drunkenly trying to disarm Taylor Swift of her newly received VMA Award, declaring “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!” At this point the only information I had received about Kanye was that he had made a pretty enjoyable contribution to a song I liked a year ago, and he apparently had acted very rude at some award show.
...ich Boy. "I noticed a lot of girls throwing their life away chasing men for money. I felt I had to put some positive on the album, it couldn't be all about drugs, dope boys and cars."
His next album was a tribute too many of the influences in his life included several of his childhood
There are many reasons why I love Michael Bublé, but the main reason is his voice, and his passion for his music. His voice is so soothing that it relives me of most of my stress from school, work or family. His voice has this certain calmness that transports me into another place or dimension that is calm, and peaceful. Listening to his music makes me feel like a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulders, which gives me a chance to unwind and have a personal reflection of my life.
In " Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke and Pharrell it talks about how a men humiliates a women. This song talks a about sexiest men and how he caresless about womens rigths or feelings, this song made alot of people angry becaause of how it talks about women. This song actually compares womens rigths and feelings to animals
Artist are not shy about their misogynistic lyrics, one example from Tupac, who some would classify as a legend, was very vulgar in his lyrics, for example in his song Wonder Why They Call You Bitch, he raps:
He discusses how his mom got him christmas presents and how he was shocked due to being from a very poor family due to not having the advantage of being white. He continues to say how his emotions are pouring out of him as in he is letting all of the stuff that he has gone through that was hard out and he is ready to let it all out for the best of his health. He mainly discusses the pain he has gone through and how it is hard growing up as a young black male. After this main song, he continues to open up on how he coped with this heartache that he has gone through.
A situation can drastically affect a person’s behavior, motivation and overall attitude. There have been many psychological studies that demonstrate the strong influence a situation has on a person’s behavior. Economy, living conditions, education and treatment can have an enormous impact on an individual’s conduct and demeanor. The ever-changing situations of the 19th century in America posed a challenge for various groups of people. People were often put in demanding situations and most reacted according to their current environment.
In our world today every country has their own set of avowed and ascribed identities for it's population. An avowed identity is one a person gives to themselves, a woman might say she’s a sister or a wife. The opposite of that is an ascribed identity, or how society sees someone. For example, a rich person could be perceived as a snob. To ascribe someone with an identity is to judge them based on societal norms. The entertainment industry in America is no different then it's parent culture. Both men and women in this industry have identities placed on them, and they change based on their career. Women are given more negative ascriptions than men in the media. That is how Americans identify people they read about, with the identities the media gives them. Women are more negatively perceived that men in the music and fashion industry because of their ascribed identities in the media, and gender roles in our nation.
Thesis Statement: How Justin Bieber went from singing annoying pop songs to Bugatti Biebervelli the Caucasian Canadian Trap Lord.
“Additionally, Doo-Wops & Hooligans reached No.3 on the Billboard album charts…” (Biography.com) Some of these songs that led to the great success of his album are Just the Way You Are, Marry You, Runaway Baby, and Grenade. The song Just the Way You Are has significant meaning behind it, it talks about a girl that he likes and how he likes every single aspect about her no matter what she thinks about herself. Common girls that listen to this song, makes them feel like he is personally singing towards them which helped many girls boost their self-esteem. The song is very ballad and he is very sentimental towards that special person. This song consists of many different instruments such as a piano, drums, hi hat cymbals, and a beat that is digitally created. Another song with a unique meaning behind it is Marry You. It is a unique love story that explains how he wants to marry this girl and how he is going to propose to her. The meaning behind this song is a girl’s dream of how she wants to be proposed to and what his ideas are. The song consists of many different instruments such as the drums, hand cymbals, triangle, hand clapping, bells. The song Runaway Baby is a very upbeat, ecstatic, and catchy song. The meaning of the song is that he is warning this girl that he is not the right guy to be in a relationship with because he is a very promiscuous man. So, he is warning her to get away
Another controversial but strong lyric that was written was “Elvis was hero to most but he never meant shit to me”. I believe this was said because to most of Elvis hit songs where during the 1960’s Rock N Roll era. This means that he was a hero and icon to most who lived through that era. Now, come the 1980’s and the public the same way does not look at many African American Hip Hop Artists like the group Public Enemy. They are not looked at as artist or even icons, they are simply said to be a bunch of “thugs” who are troubled and should go back to where they came from.
This is exactly what the media does to celebrities. Most celebrities that we have become to know have all changed in a lot of way from before they started their career and when they actually became famous. There are many artists, actors, musicians that were once people you would not even believe. A story that really inspires me is the musical journey of Stefani Germanotta. A small recording artist, not very well know, that is why I choose to discuss her because she has been through this with the media. She went to a small all girls catholic school in New York City. Paris Hilton was in her school. Look where she got, where did she go. She was made fun of everyday for her appearance. She was musically inclined to no extent, she had the talent. She knew how to play the piano by herself by the age of four years old (4).By 13 she wrote her first ballad; by 19 she was writing songs for the Pussycat Dolls and Britney Spears. Obviously she had the talent so when she went to go get a record deal, she went to...
It is up to the reader on what news they want to read about their favorite celebrity, good or bad. Celebrity gossip helps society maintain stability because people do not want to read about the wars that are going on or global warming. Instead, they would rather read about something shocking and entertaining like from a recent article by TMZ.com about “Beyoncé Accused of Photoshopping.” People would take interest in this rather than an article about a war because Beyoncé Knowles is a very popular female figure that women look up to, and finding out that she allegedly photoshopped a picture of herself is a big deal to people. Rather than wanting to focus on sad events that are occurring in the news, people would rather read this article because it makes the feel better about themselves knowing that even Beyoncé is not perfect like society puts her up to be. That is why I think the main reason why society takes an interest in celebrity gossip is just to make themselves feel better and to avoid discussing about other topics that are occurring in the
“Lonely” is one of those songs you need when you just went though a break up. It 's the sad or negative part of love. He has so many emotions in this song like, regret, sadness, and compassion. I picked this song because I think it shows a great part of love, the part when you realize what you had but not that thing is gone. A lot of people take love for granted and don 't realize what other do for them until those people leave. It shows how selfish love can be at time’s. This is one of the worst things about love is having your heart broken into a million pieces. One of the most painful things I have ever experienced. The song is very popular though because
