Historical Context of the selected Genocide There is tons of information about the history of the Romani/Sinti Tribe. For example, the tribe is originally from the Indian subcontinent, in particular, the region of present day Rajasthan. (Holocaust Encyclopedia) However, Rajasthan was inhabited long before 2500 B.C. (Holocaust Encyclopedia) The Romani people are an ethnic group of Indo-Aryan origin who traditionally lived a nomadic, itinerant lifestyle. (Franceso) The Roma political dynamics is the Bahartiya Janata party. The Romas are claimed to be very far left dating back to the 1900”s. The Romas religion is nothing specific, mainly a variety of religions. For example, the many religions Romas believe in are, Muslim, Catholic, Manouche, Mercheros and Sinti.
