Better Than Others In Deathwatch, By Robb White

Have you ever wondered why some people think they are better than others? Well I will tell you my findings. In the novel Deathwatch by Robb White. The main characters are Ben and Madec. They are total opposites. I believe there are many people they think better than because of there background situation. People think they are better than others because of someone's background or the way they have been brought up. Then others think they are better than others because of the wealth they have and the way they flaunt it.
Firstly, people believe they are better than others because of someone's upbringings. People believe they are better than others because they could be brought up in a luxury way. In the book Deathwatch Madec shows that he think

he is better than ben when madec said “you’re a nobody!” “but who am I.” I’m a president and sole owner of a corporation in california. I employe about six hundred people. This shows that someone that owns more or even lives a better life style will always believe they are better than someone that is just working on a everyday job. This shows that people that have more of an luxury upbring will be more arrogant towards others. Next, people can be brought up in more like bens situation. Ben was born into a small town, living with his uncle because his parents are both decedes. So he will have to work more for everything he has. In past experience I see it everyday in the riding world where there are those spoiled brats that there parents pay for everything. But there will always be the less fortunate where they have to actually work for the money or riding time they have. This show a lot how people think they are better than others because the more foutue will see the less fourtue working there buts of hard for what they want and the more foutue just pay their way through everything. This is an everyday situation. This shows a clear representation on how the way you are grown up can really affect the way you think and the way you see others in the same situation as you. One thing I have found out is that money can pay a huge part or people think they are better than others.
Secondly,a main factor into why people think they are better then others is because of money.

When people have money they will always think that they can outpower the less fortunate. In the story Deathwatch Madec shows that he thinks he is better the Ben when he continues to try and make deals with Ben.”what sort of deals?” Ben said “money” Madec said for school. This shows that people with money will always think they are better than others when they can outpower them with money. Money can be pretty tempting to someone that doesn't have as much. A Lot of the time this shows that the person with more money will try to out power ones that is trying to work for there money. Secondly , people believe that they are better than other when they have money or when there husbands have money. In past I have had experience with professional wives believe they are somebody important and they use there husband money to there advantage. This shows that people that never actually earned the money themselves still goes around and flaunts that they are better than others just because they have a husband that has money and they are spoiled. By them having their husbands money they believe that they can show off how wealthy they are through their looks. This being said sometimes the looks tell a great story on how you think your better because of the way you dress and what you can afford over someone else. To conclude, I would say that money pays a huge price in how you think you are better than

others.
To conclude, I believe people think they are better than other because of there background situation. In the novel Deathwatch by Robb White it shows the two main differences between each others background situations. This to me shows a clear understanding of why people think they are better the others. The reasoning of why I believe people think they are better then others is because of the way someone background was or there upbring and the way someone use there money to out power other.
