Best Teacher, Worst Teacher
Although I have had many different types of teachers, there are two that stick out more than any others. The first was my third and sixth grade teacher. She was the best teacher I ever had. The second was my seventh grade teacher. She was the worst I think a student could have had. Both, these teachers had very different teaching styles and very different out looks on teaching. To be an effective teacher the teacher must respect the student and be willing to go the extra mile to help the students learn all they can. In this paper, I will discuss the effectiveness of these two teachers and how their teaching styles differed.
First of all, what is a good teacher? According to the Educational Psychology Book, a good teacher should know their subject matter and be able to commutate it to their students. Also, they need to enjoy their students and be well prepared for class. Good teachers know how their students learn and make sure all students in the class are getting the most education they can. To be a good teacher I think the teacher has to be energetic and motivate their students. They have to be willing to work long hours for little pay and be a true friend to their students. Student show more than ever need to feel trust in their teacher and have respect for their teacher. Only good effective teacher get respect.
On the other hand, a bad or ineffective teacher carries many qualities too. To call a teacher bad the teacher must truly not take their job to the fullest measure. They must not really no their subject matter or really to care enough about the students to teach them. A bad teacher never wants to work a little more to make s...

...r hand, I would not like to be like my seventh grade teacher. She did not have any plan and never told us what we were doing that day. She gave me another outlook on teaching. She made me almost want to not ever want to be a teacher. She made me feel that there was no purpose for school. The other students in my class felt the same way. I think this teacher really did hurt students and from that class on never did well in school.
There is a big difference between good and bad teachers. Good teacher want to be there and want students to learn. Bad teachers don not care if the students learn they just there to have a job. Good teaches have a well disciplined classroom. Bad teachers have no control. I hope that one day I will become an effective teacher and hopefully one day a student will write about me being there favorite teacher.
One of his creations was the flying machine. He loved the idea of people soaring like birds and wanted to make that dream a reality. The designs of the flying machine is clearly inspired by the wings of animals that could fly. Leonardo da Vinci’s flying machine has a wingspan of over 33 feet. The frame of the machine was made out of pine that was covered in silk. A sleek and light design that also proved to be sturdy. The way the machine worked is the pilot would lie face down on the board and he would have pedal a crank that was connected to a rod-and-pulley system. There was also a hand crank that was available. This was used for additional energy and the steering was done with a head piece. The pilot was to work the crank with both his hands and feet at the same time. Doing so would cause the wings to flap. A unique feature was the wings were designed to twist when they flapped. This design was an inspiration from nature. Besides his flying machine, he also conceived the idea for a parachute. Although credit for the first parachute doesn't formally go to Leonardo da Vinci he did create the design for it a couple hundred years before it was actually invented. He made a sketch of the idea but he never actually built and tested it for himself. Many of his inventions were never truly built and tested. Leonardo wasn’t only engrossed with the sky,
It may be hard to admit, but television has become an intricate part of our everyday lives. People children often find themselves sitting in front of the television screen for a longer period of time than before and this has evolved immensely over the past few years. In this article, “The Trouble with Television,” by the author Marie Winn, mentions that addiction of television is negative effects on children and families. It keeps the families from doing other things and it’s a hidden competitor for all other activities. Television takes place of play and on top of that kids who watch a lot of television grow uncivilized. Also, the author mentioned that televisions are less resourceful for children and have negative effects on children’s school achievement and on physical fitness. Although there are so many other types of addictions but the author Marie Winn’s points of argument of watching television is a serious addiction that our children and families have negative effects.
Leonardo Da Vinci was one of the greatest minds of his time. Most will remember him for his many masterpieces including The Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, and The Vitruvian Man. But he did more than just draw works of art; he was also an inventor and a mathematician who studied a large variety of subjects. Leonardo’s life is more fascinating than any one man could imagine. He may be dead, but his work still lives on.

...eated (Mansen, 2007). Anatomical studies are also abundant Da Vinci’s notebooks. Dissection was frowned upon many of his drawings were not published to make an influence, until later dates (Mansen, 2007). Da Vinci truly embodied the term Renaissance, not only did he make lasting contributions to the world of art, but also to the world of engineering as well. The world had not taken into account his new methods of science, Da Vinci translated his results into his paintings, bringing his findings into the light, and later furthering the greatest revolution in time (Mansen, 2007). Modern inventions such as: tanks, water pumps and other machines can be traced to Da Vinci’s notebooks (Mansen, 2007). The influences that Da Vinci and his secret notebooks had on the world has lasted for generations and will most likely continue to inspire generations to come (Mansen, 2007).

Successful teachers develop the whole child by making integrated efforts to promote their student’s academic, social and emotional learning. Children need to be aware of themselves and others; make responsible decisions, and be ethical and respectful of the people around them.
Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over and over again the best way to teach to learn and how to make students to extend what has been learned. The many hours spend in the classroom will never be enough to plan lessons, prepare materials, review pupils tasks and exams, as well, all the administrative requirements one has to cover for whatever institution we work. Besides all this a good teacher, a professional one, will have to find the time to keep preparing to improve oneself.
In this course I experienced an important change in my beliefs about teaching; I came to understand that there are many different theories and methods that can be tailored to suit the teacher and the needs of the student. The readings, especially those from Lyons, G., Ford, M., & Arthur-Kelly, M. (2011), Groundwater-Smith, S., Ewing, R., & Le Cornu, R. (2007), and Whitton, D., Barker, K., Nosworthy, M., Sinclair, C., Nanlohy, P. (2010), have helped me to understand this in particular. In composing my essay about teaching methods and other themes, my learning was solidified, my knowledge deepened by my research and my writing skills honed.
An effective teacher will excite, inspire and motivate students to be active in their learning, investigate new areas of knowledge and make connections to future learning (Whitton et al 2010). When a teacher is successful, their students are motivated, mutually respectful and ready to build on their knowledge and solve real-world problems. To be a teacher of value, one must have many skills and qualities to cater for a diversity of learners and their individual development; this includes many personal traits that are noticed students.
Television has become one of the major entertainment providers in our modern life. It sits in the living room of about almost every home in the world and it is the one thing that most people like to come home to after a long day of work or school. Not only does it give us something to laugh or get scared at but it also provides us with valuable information about what is happening around our local community and around different places in the world. But, as good as this sounds, Television may be affecting us without even realizing it. Being one of the major distractors in today 's society, it gets us attached to its content in which a lot of people spend a lot of their time watching. Being thus, watching too
There are many things which make a teacher great and they all can`t be defined. However i`ve always considered several of them essential. In my opinion a good teacher is someonewho first of all creates interest in studying, doesn`t underestimate the children, has equal expectations of siccess from everyone and last but not least likes his job.
