“There exists the possibility of never leaving the legendary sea. My compass acts strangely. This sea seems to have the ability to draw things in from all over the Atlantic like a catch-basin”. (The Life of the Admiral) Christopher Columbus recorded this description of a particular part of the sea in his journal without knowing he was crossing, what is known now as the Bermuda Triangle. Located in the northwestern Atlantic Ocean, in between Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico, the Bermuda Triangle is responsible for a number of surface vessels and air crafts disappearing. The disappearances are far beyond any natural disaster or human error. Even though the Bermuda Triangle caught the public's attention in 1940, there is proof that it has been …show more content…
Not all that cross have lost their lives; many ships and planes have crossed the Bermuda Triangle without any disturbance other than fear. When an aircraft or surface vessel gets captured in the wonders of the Bermuda Triangle, it is without warning, completely unpredictable. Countless people believe that there is an entrance to another dimension located right under the waters of the Bermuda Triangle. It's a belief that only those chosen are sunk into the devil’s sea, to never be seen again. There is the theory of the long lost City of Atlantis and for all one knows it might be located in the depths of the Bermuda Triangle, that’s why, after many years of searching for it, no one has been able to find it. Since it’s located where everyone who enter gets lost, like the City of Atlantis, they are never seen again to report back. However, the thought of paranormal activity occurring in these regions of the ocean enlights the question of an out of the world force, something that is not from earth, suchs as extraterrestrial …show more content…
It's been said that the Bermuda Triangle is one of the two places on earth that compasses point true geographical north instead of magnetic north. The Bermuda Triangle is right underneath the point in space where computers crash, telescopes don’t operate and its magnetic field is off centered. Flight 19, the five torpedo bombers that went missing, was handled by pilots that have been doing it for years and were basically experts. The fact that they were unable to control where they were going or have any clue at all where they were located is very unlikely, there had to be another explanation. Columbus also reported that there was compass malfunction during the time he was sailing across the Bermuda Triangle. Through all the paranormal, extraterrestrial, and physics, there is still not correct answer to why the Bermuda Triangle is so out of hand with
In the scholarly journal, “The Bermuda Triangle Mysteries: An Explanation Based on the Diffraction of Heat Waves (2000)”, physicist Ernest C. Njau claims that the mysteries noted in the Bermuda region may be accounted by the Eastward-moving heat waves along the Earth’s surface as they cause changes in the weather and ocean patterns that could play a big role in the disappearances over the Bermuda Triangle. Njau provides the readers with another credible possibility that could be responsible for the disappearances and mysterious lost ships and planes in the Bermuda region in order to prove that paranormal phenomena may not be the cause behind these sudden disappearances. The research cited explains that the Eastward-moving heat waves along the Earth’s surface “to a large extent, account for the mysteries already noted in the Bermuda region” (Njau). In the academic journal, “Hydrates Represent Gas Source, Drilling Hazard”, senior researcher in geology and associate professor Elchin Bagirov and senior geophysicist Ian Lerche, purport that the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle can actually be explained by the phenomenon of hydrate crystals ruling out paranormal phenomenon. Bagirov and Lerche cite a variety of diagrams that they claim show the special properties of hydrate crystals and their effects to indicate their relationship with the mysterious disappearances of ships and aircraft in the Bermuda Triangle. The authors provide a scientific and rational explanation for the numerous mysteries of missing ships and aircraft in the Bermuda Triangle in order to persuade the readers that the mysteries surrounding the Bermuda Triangle can be explained by actual scientific
A skeptic once argued “trying to find a common cause for every Bermuda Triangle disappearance is no more logical than trying to find a common cause for every automobile accident in Arizona” (“Bermuda Triangle”). Although some theories may be more plausible than others, this implies that there is not one single explanation for these disappearances. While some researchers propose far-fetched theories, historical events as well as scientific observation and experimentation show many reasonable explanations to the abnormal phenomenon that occurs within the boundaries of the Bermuda Triangle. Background Information The Bermuda Triangle is best known for its strange phenomenon and unexplained disappearances.
In my opinion, the Bermuda Triangle can not be proven real. It also can’t be proven fake either. All the incidents that have happened in that area can’t be explained. If there is a reason that all these things are happening, then someone might find out. It might just be coincidence, or it might actually be a real problem in the middle of the ocean. One thing about the Bermuda Triangle that caught my attention was that a lot of incidents happen in December. It might be the weather that affects the ships and planes that pass through at the time. The weather could affect the way the ships and planes function and cause a failure of somesort. There has to be a reason that everything happens only in December. That is my opinion on the Bermuda Triangle. the main thing i think is that it might be real or it might be fake, but we won’t ever know until it is proven.
Voyages into the unknown: exciting adventures, feats, and discoveries throughout history. Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh are two of the many people who have traveled across the Atlantic. But what makes their travels special?..
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is the cause of many unexplained disappearances that happened within its boundary. One of the many mysteries of the triangle is Flight 19. Five Avenger planes vanished without even a single trace. What happened to Flight 19, did aliens actually abduct the planes? Or is there another explanation as to how they disappeared?
The Bermuda Triangle is the home of approximately just under a thousand “unexplained” disappearances in the past five hundred years. This area has generated unproven tales that have served as “explanations” for these disappearances. The triangle is also known for its unique weather and other “unnatural” occurrences. However, each story or occurrence within the Bermuda Triangle can be explained.
“In total, six airplanes and 27 men appear to have vanished” (How). On December 5th of 1945, five U.S. Navy bombers went missing without a trace of why. Later a rescue plane was sent to search for the plane and the survivors, but those planes disappeared as well. That incident is one of the most famous and well known disappearances in the area (How). The Bermuda triangle is an area in the Atlantic Ocean which many people believe mysterious disappearances have taken place. It reaches Puerto Rico, Florida, and Bermuda in a triangle shape that covers approximately 500,000 square miles (History). The mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda triangle are myths as evidenced by people who travel the area safely every day, there is no scientific proof of the mysteries, and there are scientific reasons why people have disappeared.
The mystery of The Bermuda Triangle has proven time and time again to be one of the world’s most bewildering phenomenons, and has kept scholars and conspiracists alike scratching their heads. It has defied all aspects of logic, science, likelihood, and probability. According to a late September, 2017 article by Holly Christodoulou, a writer for “The Sun”, “The Bermuda Triangle seems to have laid claim to at least 1000 lives via the mysterious disappearances of massive man-made vessels such as planes, boats, and cargo ships that remain unfound to this very day” (https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/2021520/bermuda-triangle-ships-planes-conspiracy-theories/).
The Bermuda Triangle is a mysterious section of the Atlantic Ocean covering a huge area from the point of Miami, to Bermuda and Puerto Rico where numerous numbers of ships and airplanes have vanished either for good or found near by as rubble. Although a plethora of theories have come about regarding this vast areas, none of them come to show that these often disappearances occur more frequently in the triangle than in other often experienced sections of the ocean. In fact, people navigate the area every day without incident. If this is the case, then why is it that so many disappearances do happen in this area? Most of these occurrences occur to people traveling through the Bermuda Triangle either via vessel or plane. With this question
You might know that the Bermuda Triangle is a legendary place where numerous disappearances have occurred, but how much do you really know about it? Some people don’t believe in such a place, but some do. Research has been conducted to try and figure out what could possibly be happening here, but with no hard evidence. The mysterious Bermuda Triangle may be more than just a myth though; the Bermuda triangle has a long history of disappearances, few people live through it to tell the tale, and possible theories have been made over the years leaving scientists questioning this strange phenomenon. The history of this legend dates way back.

It is a legend that has terrified sailors since Columbus first sailed towards America. Its name is not on any official map, but a quick Google search turns up 10,400,000 web pages, and 101,000 books. What legend is this about? It is the legend of the Bermuda triangle. A host of theories attempt to explain the supposedly abnormal events in the Bermuda triangle in a supernatural or physically impossible way.

In conclusion the bermuda triangle is an imaginary triangle with a deadly reputation. No explanation has been proven correct and the mystery is still to be solved. After countless events of paranomal activity being reported, it is difficult to believe that the triangle is a safe place with nothing peculiar about it, even though most researchers believe differently. The sense of mystery, publicized occurances of paranormal activity, and attention from scientists and researchers has continued to fuel interest on the matter.
The disappearance of Flight 19 and the USS Cyclones are just some of the things that occurred and are based on the Bermuda Triangle. Theories like the Methane Hydrate and others are merely assumptions made by scientists in hopes of unfolding the mystery of the Triangle, when in reality we will never know for sure what happens within the Bermuda’s itself.
