Beowulf , a hero from a past story that was written in the 6th century, is one of the oldest English stories today. This story is written by an anonymous, mysterious author and is partially based on facts as well. The story is about a hero named Beowulf, the strongest man of his group known as the Geats, fought Grendal, a monster who was terrorizing people in a banquet hall due to his jealously, along with other enemies. Still even though Beowulf is a relevant hero to have memory of, the heroes that exist in the real world are known to this day are more relatable. Their differences and similarities lie within their methods of their heroic acts, how capable they’re really are, and how can they inspire people. A real life example of this is a teacher because they can teach students to be better people in the future. And they do not only teach students, they can give advice to students as well. Helping along with the knowledge to save people, doctors can affect people’s lives. And heroes in the real world in general can help people by an enormous amount of methods than Beowulf. The notorious, legendary, and divine figure Beowulf could potentially have an abnormal amount of capabilities. Also he may have no limitations himself, however he only does this by pure strength and combat as well. Also consider the fact that he’s part of a partially fictional story and fought against fictional creatures. Occurring in the one of the endings of the story, while celebrating his victory against the injured Grendal, “A prince of the Geats, had killed Grendal, Ended the grief, the sorrow, the suffering, Forced on Hrothgar’s helpless people, By a bloodthirsty fiend, No Dane doubted the victor”.
