1. Based upon your research and what you have read about the trait approach, what personality characteristics does this leader display? Benjamin Netanyahu is the Prime Minister of Israel. One of the personality traits that Benjamin portrays as a leader is his drive. When this man believes in something he is out-spoken and shows tenacity in his decisions. A good example of this is with the Iran nuclear program deal with the United States. Sanctions against Iran were to be lifted if they agreed to reduce their production or stop enriching uranium. The prime minister did not like this agreement, and was very ready to voice his opinion. “According to CNN, Netanyahu considers this deal to be "a historic mistake."” (Biography.com. 2015). …show more content…
I say this because he is determined to look out for the well-being of the Jewish people as a group. Benjamin strives to look out for the protection and stability of Israel as a nation. He is also very supportive of initiatives that he feels will protect his people. “This dimension is sometimes referred to as concern for people, supportive leadership, or consideration.” (Bateman. 2016. P 227). He may also present the behavioral approach of focusing on task performance. He is quick to criticize when things are not going the way he believes. This can be shown when it comes to territory and peace talks. I take Benjamin personally as an individual who wants the specifics on the matters at hand. It may only be his opinions or ideas, but when the prime minister makes decisions, he usually has specifics in mind for the outcome. An example of this would be demilitarizing Palestinians in exchange for peace.
3. Based upon your research and what you have read about the path-goal theory, what type of leadership style does the leader practice - directive, supportive, participative or

He stands up for what he believes in, even if it causes controversy with other countries or leaders. There are many countries that have threatened to destroy Israel and the Jewish people. He continues to persevere, even when it seems the odds are not in his favor. “Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan, while speaking at a conference in Tehran, said that were President-Elect Trump to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear “deal” signed by the Obama administration, Iran would destroy the State of Israel.” (Wood. 2016). Benjamin has continued to fight over land that he feels belongs to the Jewish people, even though he has caused much controversy over the issue. I think with Benjamins ability to use more than one type of leadership style also makes him a good
...ple, Benjamin Franklin developed his own style of writing which was adopted by many liberal writers who shaped Franklin’s political views a great deal. It is also worth noting that Benjamin drew a lot from his father Josiah who he viewed as all round. He was particularly impressed by his ability to make sound judgment a skill also seen by other locals.
became a revolutionist at the age of seventy. But more than just his political views helped the formation of the United States government and independance. His common sense, knowledge, and ability to negotiate all played a major part in the forming of a new country. Benjamin Franklin's ability to compromise often helped prevent large disputes which could have stalled the new government from forming.
“...there was no wind we rowed all the way…” This quote shows perseverance because he was determined to get to Philadelphia. It also showed that he is single-minded that shows through to prove that he is persevere. Benjamin had to be perseverant or he wouldnt of done anything major in his long life, he had to show that he was gonna be something one day.
"Of two things you can be certain; death and taxes," quoted Benjamin Franklin. Having a humorous outlook on life, Franklin tried to make others' lives better. Benjamin was a man who served others and tried to make the world its best until his death. Benjamin Franklin had many accomplishments. He had a busy and eventful life, he played a major role in defending his country, and he was known for his quotes. Franklin was always working to make something better.
Many of the setbacks that Ben Franklin has had in his life are looked at by some people to be considered flaws that contribute to hypocrisy. He was a great individual, maybe not perfect, but he did many things for the well being of our nation. He is one of the frontrunners of modern society with his inventions and discoveries. His experiments go beyond the major things such as electricity, every thing that he has done in his life was an experiment. He tried to be the perfect individual and a teacher of perfection. I think he did a very good job of accomplishing his goals and we should look up to him as being not only a down to earth person, but also a person that has risen to supremacy.
The leadership is a result of a combination of traits, with special emphasis on the personal qualities of the leader, which he should possess certain personality traits that would be special facilitators in leadership performance. This theory shows that leaders are born as such, there is no likelihood of 'making' them later with personal development techniques.
Those who believe he is a active part of society think that because he helps the animals at the end, he works sometimes, and the fact that he is friends with Boxer proves he doesn’t have the disorder. Although aspects of this argument are enticing, it ultimately fails to be stronger argument because Boxer is his one and only friend on the farm. Boxer had to prove the trust of Benjamin and these instances are the only that Benjamin really participates in society, and again those are both for Boxers benefit. Also, it might say he works a little bit but thats just because he feels obligated to do so. In the text it states that “He did his work in the same slow obstinate way as he had done it in Jones's time, never shirking and never volunteering for extra work either” (Orwell). This just proves that he might have worked but he obviously doesn't want to do so and never did. Therefore, they have no counter claim it is very obvious through the facts I provided that he does in fact have Avoidant Personality
Contrasting, the democratic leader consults with others (a team, for example) before making a decision.
Writer, printer, scientist, leader, inventor, and “rebel with a cause” are few of the many careers that Benjamin Franklin has been renowned for over the years. All of them truly reflect the abilities that he deployed during the birth of our nation. These qualities have also acknowledged a superb leader who serves as a prominent model and founding father to today’s generation.
The general personality traits, which are related to success both in and outside the workplace, are all inherent in my answers given in the Leadership Assessment Quiz. With statements such as, “it is easy for me to compliment others” and “team members listen to me when I speak,” it is apparent I possess these characteristics. Whereas my task- related personality traits associated with successful leadership, such as courage, still need to be developed. Not only do I know this in myself, but it is clearly pointed out throughout the test, with statements such as, “resolving conflict is an activity I enjoy” and “I would enjoy coaching other members of the team”.
As Yukl (2010) indicates, such factors (e.g. personality, values and capacities) attributed to a leader. Normally it is widespread acknowledged that someone is born to be a lead...
As a growing debate, the question at hand is whether great leaders are born with specific leadership traits, or if one can be taught certain traits over time. According to (Wikipedia.com) the approach of listing leadership qualities, often termed "trait theory of leadership", assumes certain traits or characteristics will tend to lead to effective leadership. I believe that leadership traits such as honest, competent, initiative, inspiring, hardworking, intelligent, and the ability to lead the masses, are some of the leadership traits one should possess. Within this paper, I will examine the overall concept of leadership traits, while observing the traits that were, or can be associated with successful leaders.
Traits of a good leader are trustworthiness, respectfulness, honesty, and be stern. When you have leaders that take their role seriously, you can form a backbone to an organization that cannot be broken. You have born leaders and you have trained leaders. Martin Luther King was a natural born leader for the Civil Rights movement. King saw there was something that needed to be changed and he took the steps to change the world.
I believe that there are three main character traits that define a good leader; their ability to move a nation with their speeches, their ability to think about and plan for the future of their people and nation, and their ability to be able to command the nation 's forces correctly. All good and well defining character traits that I believe that Adolf Hitler possessed when he came to power in Germany during January 1933.
Trait theories are theories that consider personal qualities and characteristics that differentiate leaders from nonleaders." Early results aimed at confirming this theory were inconclusive. Many research studies were conducted and each identified key traits supposed to differentiate leaders from nonleaders. The problem is that they didn't get the same results, thus failing to discover common traits, which should have shown in each research study. When applying the Big Five Personality framework (extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness to experience) to the study and research of leadership traits, results were more encouraging. They showed that the most important trait for leaders was extraversion. Still, this founding sh...
