I would like to begin with saying that I am honored to be invited into the National Honors Society. I am continually setting high standards for myself and to join a group of like minded people would be a very satisfying reward. I consider this invitation for application an incredible opportunity for forward advancement in my scholarly journey. So, to dive right into why I would like to join this honored society, I will briefly expound on my character and traits for you.
I feel that the importance of service is to help a person in need because you could change someone's life, not because you feel that you need to. People who love what they are doing are the people who effect everything around them.Service has impacted my life because it makes me a better person. My family feels the impact, the community feels the impact, even servicing for a few hours a week affects the people around you. It makes the community a better place to live.
I would be an excellent choice to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I show service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Being chosen for National Honor Society is a great honor, as it has proved that from my childhood till now my hard work has paid off. As a student in Greater Lawrence Technical school my ultimate goal was to become a member of National Honors Society. From the very start I knew I had the potential to become who I wanted to be. Throughout my educational career I have always excelled in the classroom. I recently graduated high school, being in the top three percent of my class, all while being a captain in the varsity football team and working full time. My high school GPA was a 4.0, and I received many awards, including First Team All-State for academics. Currently, I have a 3.5 GPA at UTA, while working part time and being involved in various school organizations. Academics are very important for me because it represents a better, more financially stable
I believe that I would be a valuable member to the National Honors Society because I have skills that allow me to be a positive example to others, and I have exceptional grades.
