Many children in the public school system will tell you that they do not enjoy going to PE because they feel it is a pointless class. Most students are only active in PE a third of the time, making it a waste of their time. The games played in PE are not strenuous enough to give enough activity. PE takes away from another academic class that could help with college acceptance and boosting GPA, which would be much more beneficial for students. Even though some people say PE is beneficial all four years of high school, students will not benefit from PE being mandatory throughout their entire high school career and would benefit more from being able to take an academic class in its place.

Secondly, social experience tells us opportunities are often given to someone who has received good education. Employers tend to believe that people have higher education are more intelligent and that they can manage to do their job better and adapt to the working environment more quickly. That explains why educated people, more often than not, can land a very good job. Thirdly, educated people usually act more polite and civilized. People who understand the importance of learning know that they are good enough so they have patience and eagerness to learn from other people. And this is of great significance for a nation’s growth and prosperity. Last, with the development of today’s technology, education becomes even more valuable than ever before. The mentioned four points explains not only why education is important but also why more and more parents are sending their children to English speaking countries like the United States and the UK to study. Furthermore, and according to Coombs and Ahmed 1974, education is a continuing process, spanning the years from earliest infancy through adulthood and necessarily involving a great variety of methods and sources. Education also involves inculcating in students distinct bits of knowledge; therefore education is an additive process (White, 2006). It adds to an individual as well as it adds to a country through the individuals who are and would have been or are being educated. According to a study conducted by Olaniyan and Okemakinde 2008, education creates improved citizens and helps to upgrade the general standard of living in a society. Furthermore, education plays a key role in the ability of a developing country to absorb modern technology and to develop the capacity for self-sustaining growth and development (Todaro and Smith, 2012).
