Our world thrives when we have diversity and inclusivity combining different cultures and ideas that shapes and expands our world’s horizons often taking us out of our comfort zones. Cultures can only flourish when its people are open to new ideas and the uniqueness others bring to the table. Hatred stems from ignorance and from which enables an ever expanding cycle of more hatred. It’s time for people to really see and understand those with they choose to ignore, belittle, hate because they choose to remain ignorant. If they truly opened their hearts and minds they would find that we all want the same basic things in life, to provide for our families to the best of our abilities, to be a part of a community where we are valued and to give
...scrimination, racism and inequality are unjust and have no place in our society. People are people and should all be treated equal. Differences should not divide us. They should be accepted and used to bring us closer together. What a better place the world would be if everyone practiced this concept!
The great melting and land of opportunities is unfortunately not perfect, big shocker. Trying to unify different cultures and diverse views are not easy tasks, especially when deep hatreds trigger violence. Achieving groups and individuals across the United States attempt to deal with diversity issues that crop up daily in schools, neighborhoods, families, at work, courts and many other institutions and situations.
As the world turns, so do the minds of people who embrace the idea of equality and fairness to all. While society has many ills that prevent its potential growth, racism remains the most prevalent and consistent issue that hurts society’s ability to create unison. From the western to the eastern hemisphere, this ‘ism’ has manifested itself in every aspect of social life; even today, it still marks people’s philosophy and so much so that it influences practices, laws and social action across the world. Although there have been substantial gains in racial equality over the past century, racism still remains a deeply embedded and enduring ideology because of the creation of social divisions that allows power over a certain group of people and
In the end no matter what beliefs one has we are all of one race, the human race, and through school lectures and government anti-bullying campaigns the future is looking brighter than ever before towards a world without anti-semitism, but even though we may be the closest we have ever been to eradicating this ugly ignorance, we still have a long road to go.
Edgar Allan Poe has a unique writing style that uses several different elements of literary structure. He uses intrigue vocabulary, repetition, and imagery to better capture the reader’s attention and place them in the story. Edgar Allan Poe’s style is dark, and his is mysterious style of writing appeals to emotion and drama. What might be Poe’s greatest fictitious stories are gothic tend to have the same recurring theme of either death, lost love, or both. His choice of word draws the reader in to engage them to understand the author’s message more clearly. Authors who have a vague short lexicon tend to not engage the reader as much.
Overall, hate is one of the worst problems that plagues the earth, and causes a lot of the problems we see today and have seen in the past. It is my choice for the best way to fix the world, or the ultimate ‘Tikkun Olam’. After all, it would be better if we could all just get
According to NY Daily News, within the next 20 years, the population of non-white people living in America will make up about 50% of the total U.S population. If that’s gonna be a reality, why can’t we all accept one another’s differences, values, and cultures? Just because people of color possess customs, traits, or cultural beliefs that differ from those who are white, why do they have to become targets of racism and hatred? That’s the way society has become and racism is just a way for one group of people to inflict hate on another group of people, solely because they share distinct beliefs and customs and have a different skin color.
Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer, editor, and literary critic best known for his poetry and short stories of mystery and horror. He is regarded as the creator of the detective fiction genre and was a major contributor to the early development of science fiction. Throughout his short stories and poems Poe expresses a wide range of messages and ideas; however, one common theme expressed in Poe’s stories is the concept of a nemesis appearing as a doppelganger or counterpart to another living person. In his writing, Poe’s protagonist closely identifies with the antagonist and vice versa. The idea of a protagonist going up against their counterpart occurs in stories such as “The Tell-Tale Heart,” The Purloined Letter,” and “The Fall of the
Hate is a very scary thing and there is much too much of it in the world. I am an object of hate because I am a lesbian. I had a very scary incident a year ago that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
People should not harm each other. In “A Quilt Of A Country” Anna Q taught us that we must tolerate each other. Harming others because we have different beliefs is not alright. In the “The Stories Of An Immigrant Contribution” taught us what happened before people were tolerated. When people have tolerance and they harm others it affects more than just the people intended to harm. When we talk about how other people have felt being attacked by others and still becoming famous and making money it can inspire them into coexisting with others. After you learn how to tolerate it can make the world a lot better place. These writings had very similar points but also very different
We need to stop the hate that people think that hispanics do drugs and are rapist. We need to stop the hate that people think that african american people steal. We need to stop the hate that people think that immigrants just come to the U.S because they want to be lazy. So, first of all that is all a lie and don’t believe what people say because they aren’t always true. And what we can all do to stop this is that we can stop the racist jokes and comments. Also we can show people that all those things that people say is a lie. Hate is a bitter winter night, Frost bite creeping through windows biting your toes. In other words all this connects to the peace that the world
People hate and they will always will until someone stands up against the hate. I think that being hateful to a certain group of people is very mean and wrong. I believe that previous Generations are influencing today’s youth with hateful thoughts.
“We focus so much on our differences, and that is creating, I think, a lot of chaos and negativity and bullying in the world. Everyone should focus on what we all have in common - which is - we all want to be happy.” - - Ellen DeGeneres - -
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”― Nelson Mandela, Long Walk to Freedom
If hatred stems from fear and fears arise out of ignorance, then learning about the ways of others, seeking to understand differences can only help us all to realize our oneness.
