What is the importance of being thankful or grateful to others? It is important because it shows appreciation and respect. Being thankful is important because you are recognizing what people have done for you, you are also showing that you care. Being thankful means that you are happy or appreciative because of something someone has done. If you are thankful, then it can make the person you are thankful to happy. I am thankful for my grandparents, God, and my pet rabbit. I am thankful for my grandparents because my grandparents loves me, took care of me when I was a child, and helps me. My grandparents loves me because they always take me out to eat. They took care of me by feeding me and playing with me. They would always tell me fascinating stories and tell me about the world. My grandparents helped me when I was a child and they would help me do my homework. When I was a child they would buy me things and take me places. They would help me do some everyday tasks like doing the dishes and making my bed. My grandparents helped shape me as a person. …show more content…
I am thankful because God gave me hope because whenever I thought I couldn’t do something, I would always think about God. I am also thankful because God helped me through the toughest times. When times were hard I would pray to God because I needed guidance. I would pray that soon the situation would get better, and in the end it all did. I can always look up to God because when I am in a difficult situation I would think what would Jesus do? I would look up to God when something unfortunate has happened. I depend on God every single
Gratitude is a gift that the earth urgently needs. Consistent gratitude is a form of recognition of the gift and the giver. Daily gratitude can help eliminate the need for more and practicing more of only what we need. Gratitude leads to a society of contentment rather than one that's always in need of more. We human individuals have conventions for appreciation; we apply them formally to each other. We say thank you. “We understand that receiving a gift
Common curtesy has us saying “Thanks” to the point that we may have lost the intentions associated with the response. W.S. Merwin sums up this anomaly in his poem “Thanks”, saying “with nobody listening we are saying thank you” (Merwin 29). We say thanks for so many meaningless things that it no longer carry’s the true intent of the speaker. Instead it is a response to acknowledge the receiver rather than giving true thanks. This repetition allows for questions regarding what are we truly thankful for, and how we make this known to the receiver.
Forever will I be thankful for the love he gave me, and even more so for the family he left me with. Collectively, we have been and will be loved more than I personally could have ever asked for, by my grandfather and by each other.
When I recognize the state of gratitude in which my heart is enveloped, I immediately embrace the Grace of God! I would never know true gratitude if it were not for God’s grace.
I’m thankful for child labor reforms that were developed throughout history allowing me not to have to work in such harsh conditions. These reforms allow me to obtain an education to strive in society today.
Grandparents can play a crucial role in their grandchildren’s lives. Some may play more crucial while others play less crucial roles, but when it comes down to it they change their grandchildren. Some children don’t see their grandparents at all, but some children will see their grandparents a lot or even some are taken into custody by their grandparents and live their lives being raised by them. While they spend that time with their grandparents they can learn many things about anything whether it’s something about life when they were younger or history or even very important life lessons. In China it isn’t uncommon for grandparents to live in the house with both their children and their grandchildren (Poon 1). Many parents rely on the grandparents to look after the children or child when they are at work or away from home (Poon 1). That’s a pretty big role that a grandparent can
In my previous blogs, I came to a conclusion that remain indecisive as I have one point on why the Illuminati can still exist (my second blog) and one against (my third blog). In this blog, I will be investigating the first major event that the Illuminati may have played a hand in, The French Revolution. If they did play a hand, it would prove that the Illuminati did exist during this period in time.
Can you give an example of one thing about someone in the class room that you really appreciate?
As I am progressing this step to becoming a man I am thankful for my mom. Throughout every step of the way she has been able to answer my questions about life in general. I look up to my mom as she is a strong woman that has been through alot in her life. My mom came from Mexico, leaving her family and everything she owned
I pray for everything happening in my life whether it be good or bad. I think many Christians today only turn to God when something is going their way they never take time to just thank God for all the good things he has put into your life. I have even been guilty for this on more than one occasion. But I have gotten to the point in my life where I am thankful for everything that God has put into my life whether it be good or bad. This also goes for friends, I thank God for every single person that he has put into my life because they have shaped me into the person I am today. Many people have tried to have their own plans for their life instead of Gods plan for them and it always ends up falling
I always received great satisfaction from helping others. I remember at a young age, helping my grandmother with chores that she was no longer able to do for herself. As I got older, my grandmother became more dependent on me. I helped her cook, clean, administer medication and made sure she kept her doctor appointments. I now see myself doing these same things for my mother and father as they get older.
My great grandmother, Mama, cared for all her children including her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great grandchildren all the same. She allowed anyone to stay in her home when needed and loaned money even when she did not have the funds to support herself. Even as a young child my great great grandmother was older but held a great part in raising me. I never received any form of structured learning such as daycare or pre-kindergarten because I loved being in her company and did not want to separate from her.
They say grandparents, are the two most favorite people in the world to children. Grandparents are the main characters of your childhood, they are the ones that leave you with the most beautiful memories of your life. Some grandparent’s teach you a very valuable lesson of life, they teach you respect, hard work, family values, and unlimited love. They show you their love in many ways, they say I love you in words as well as actions. Grandparents are the ones that sometimes get you out of trouble and guide you to the correct path. They show you trust, a trust that cannot never be broken.
I have a lot of cousins; therefore I am not the only grandchild for my grandparents. However, I was the only one that was raised by my grandparents. They spent the most of their times on me compared to my other cousins. For example, I slept with my grandma when I was young. Because of my body was weak, and my hands and feet usually cool all night, my grandma always held my hands and feet to make my body warm. She was told me fairy-tales or real stories at night when I was sick, because she wanted me to feel better. When I was little girl, on the family trip, grandpa always carried me, because he didn’t want me to walk too long. Living without the parent, it made me sad but my grandparents given too much love on
I am grateful for my life in many ways and for many reason, I was born 5 weeks premature and one of twins. Though my twin did not survive long enough for me to know him it gave me a purpose to try new things. Whenever I am scared of a new experience such as snow-boarding I think about how lucky I am to be alive and well. This thought helps me to spread my wings and embrace the unknown. Even simple things make me feel thankful, such as running in the rain or taking a walk with my dog or just a lazy Sunday afternoon with myself makes me think how great it is to be alive and here. I have always delight in the small moments in life and to think that they could never exist for me is depressing. Furthermore, being able to share my thoughts and feeling with people I love is something that brings me great joy.
