There are billions people in this world and they are all different. The outside differences are traits, personalities, and behaviors which reflect the inside differences. Being said, our behaviors originate from thoughts and decisions. Being proactive could be optimistic, open-minded, and self-aware. Proactive people know themselves and others. They know that conditions, circumstances, and even other people are not something they could control. Instead, they realize that how they encounter with such thing is in their control, so they manage to response each situation based on a consequence. On the other hand, Reactive people do not concern about circumstance and result. They have their goal. They aim and shoot and if they missed, they will blame their bow, arrow, wind, or even sunlight. Meanwhile, Proactive people will know that a little wind blow might bend their arrow path; they count their circumstance and make a decision. This people will never regret or blame on what they did but always come with solution. They choose how to live and learn that everything is relatively connected and related. Thomas A. better. As said, our behaviors are from our thoughts regardless our conditions. I admit to say that condition and circumstance are able to affect us physically and mentally. However, eventually, we choose to make our own choice. We cannot control circumstance, but can truly control ourselves. When I was in school of design in Thailand, I always found myself struggling with lessons, practical classes, and studio workshops. I thought my school was old-school, traditional, and fell behind from other design school as it was a public school with limited financial support from government. At that time, we did not have 3D printer or fabric printing studio, whereas some other private design schools had. I felt like I could not study and learn much without those support so I flowed along with what we got. In the meantime, one of my classmates always came with her new prototypes, presentations, or models. How could she make those from nothing? I found out that she worked hard and always discuss with her counsellor for better. She had several opportunities to work with people from real industry and company and got accommodated from them. She attended workshops in Japan and Taiwan. I just found out recently after we graduated that she was working so hard in school. She recently posted on her Facebook about her college life and how fun and enthusiastic she was. Then, I thought that, actually, one important thing to be proactive is self-awareness. She loved what she did and saw her future career in her passion, whereas, I was not sure about my goal. That reflects me today. I now understand what it means to have passion, to love what I do, and to work hard no matter what it takes. I love baking and I have passion on it. As being an international student, it is not easy to travel abroad for long time, to support myself financially, to live alone, to take care of myself, and to live in different culture. But, at least, I know that I can do it because I need it. And that is how I see my life has totally changed. I have learned that setting a goal should be initially prioritized. With a goal, I will see an unclear future, but the more I walk on, the more it becomes clearer as I know what I am achieving. Exercise 2 A lot of people are busy with their life. They have their goal and work hard for it, but who would ever care how they manifest in order to achieve their goal. In outsider aspects, we never know what others live their life for, but we know who they are from what they do and how they live which interpret their meaning to us. Looking back into myself, I always find myself as someone on whom others could rely. I am humble, persistent, honest, and perseverant. I tend to be a good listener than speaker, but my act speaks well. However, I was born and raised in Chinese family which makes me so discipline. I was so afraid to think out of the box or to step out of my circle. I need to be more self-motivated, inspired, and fearless which I have literally changed since I came to Canada. It is sometimes hard for me but I always hold on to it. Perseverance, honesty, and persistence have been my key. When I was a kid, I always wanted to be an inventor.
I wanted to create something for better to this world. But, my goal shifted into a different stream when I was in high school. I concerned about environment such as climate change, and alternative green energy. The reason why I picked school of design was to create products that help this world in such aspects. However, my anticipation never accomplish in that field. Although I have changed my career path, I do not give my goal up. Food industry will be a larger impact because it involves every single person in this world. And it will not change by one person in a day or two. It needs everyone to change and my strength makes me a good influence. With my sincerely humble, honest acting, it creates a better impact than saying as people would rather believe in acts than
sayings.
Chapter one of Ten Traits of Highly Effective Principals opens with one of the most influential traits of what an effective principal should possess, the communication trait. To be successful in any venue in life, you must be able to communicate with people; this is especially true in the education world. Principals are responsible for communicating with people in all walks of life, parents, students, teacher, administrative office personnel and the general public, as an administrator, you must make each of these individuals feel a sense of trust and belonging while communicating with them. Principals use conversations and gesture to build confidence and open lines of communication for learning and growth.

Scott Hightower’s poem “Father” could be very confusing to interpret. Throughout almost the entirety of the poem the speaker tries to define who his father is by comparing him to various things. As the poem begins the reader is provided with the information that the father “was” all of these things this things that he is being compared to. The constant use of the word “was” gets the reader to think ‘how come the speaker’s father is no longer comparable to these things?’ After the speaker reveals that his father is no longer around, he describes how his father impacted him. Details about the father as well as descriptions of the impacts the father has distraught on the speaker are all presented in metaphors. The repetitive pattern concerning the speaker’s father and the constant use of metaphors gives the reader a sense that the speaker possesses an obsessive trait. As the reader tries to interpret the seemingly endless amount of metaphors, sets of connotative image banks begin to develop in the reader’s mind. Major concepts that are expressed throughout the poem are ideas about what the speaker’s father was like, what he meant to the speaker, and how he influenced the speaker.
The Grand Mosque of Córdoba remains to this day, one of the finest mosques, of that which once was part of the west of the Islamic Umayyad Caliphate. Response to intervention, also known as RTI, is a process to aid students’ progress throughout their academics to the best of their ability. This process tries to address any learning problems or difficulties starting at a younger age. When teachers and parents are able to address any learning problems of the students during the first few years of their education, the students can be provided the best instruction in addition to intervention for their individual needs.
The films The Searchers and Avatar both make use of the master narratives of regulating social order and disorder. One is used as a way to reinforce this narrative, while the latter is shaped more towards critiquing the overall of ideal of the American social order. The struggle presented by an external threats in both films give the opportunity of interpreting and contrasting the master narrative and the effects that can come from imbalances in social orders.

In chapter nine of Messages, assertiveness training is presented as a way “to express your feelings, thoughts, and wishes, and to stand up for your legitimate rights without violating the rights of others.” (McKay, Davis, Fanning, 2009, p. 125) According to McKay, Davis, and Fanning (2009), “assertiveness is a social behavior that can be learned” (p.125) Assertiveness that is presented in a way that is used to express ‘your’ feelings and not necessarily to interpret someone else’s connects directly with the single contingency method. As assumptions number four of the skills and tools model of communication states that communication skills are trainable like motor skills, assertiveness skills such as passiveness, aggressiveness, and assertiveness are presented in a way that may be taught to use in appropriate situations to depict your feelings and your wishes. The book differentiates between a skill that is similar to a personality trait, and assertiveness that can be acquired, which contradicts assumption number four because it suggests that learning to communicate is similar to learning jumping jacks. It also specifies that assertiveness is used to initiate your own message instead of another’s reaction.
Be able to know that you are a procrastinator in order to be helped. Have a commitment to yourself to get things done and making a to do list can help. Also, creating reminders through the day to help with what’s needed to get done. Write some of your goals so you can accomplish them. Having someone you can tell your goals, and how you plan to accomplish them is also good help. They can push you into making your goals. The article defines Self-Efficacy (SE) as a person belief in his/her ability to perform a particular behavior successfully. Researcher suggests mothers’ self-efficacy (MSE) can be directly linked to the increase or decline of a child language development (Albarran & Reich, 2013). This theory is explored by observing 2 factors, perceived barriers and parents’ knowledge and exposure to reading material concerning child development. There are 3 barrier discussed in these article’s. Parent centered barrier looks at the particular situation that would prevent or in decrease a parent from interacting with a child i.e. being too tire, having to work, or just being too busy. Child –centered barriers focus on the child lack of interest in any particular task i.e. being fussy, tired or just not being interested. The last barrier is structural; this particular barrier looks at environment factor that should possible effect (MSE) i.e. nosy back ground, and little exposure to reading material (Lin, Reich, Kataoka, & Farkas, 2015).

The behavior I would like to modify is the level of my procrastination. Procrastination was the first thing that came to my mind as something that I wanted to try to change. I push majority of the things I have to do until the day before it is due, making excuses and thinking to myself that it can wait and does not have to be done now, or there are important things to do or that think to myself that I can do something else at the time. My goal is to eliminate or decrease the level of procrastinating.
What is a teacher? A teacher is someone who students rely on for further knowledge and comprehension. Often, a teacher is viewed as a role model towards their students. In many times, teachers can help guide students into a better future. Characteristics like preparation, compassion, having and showing respect to students can make a teacher more effective.
