If I was to describe you in three words, they would be, brilliant, bold and unforgettable. Growing up with a mother, a role model, who possess these incredible qualities, has given me more than I can ever put into words. Your brilliance is what shaped Jordan and me into the young women we are today. Being bold is what makes you successful with anything you decide to tackle. I admire how you speak your mind and aren't afraid to do it. The most important trait that you embody, however, is being unforgettable. When you enter a room your strong and compelling presence can be felt. Closing my eyes to think of you, I envision yellow, like the sun. Your energy is warm and radiant. 52 years ago Irene Violet Bohne was born. You may have come into this world not knowing how to speak or to walk, but your vibrant soul already had so much to offer this world. The wisdom and grace you possessed from day one, eventually was passed on to your daughters. For …show more content…
I always tell you how much I love you, but I wanted to highlight a few of the million reasons why. You taught us from a young age how to be courteous, well mannered and respectful. At dinner one time, in my elementary years, you said, "You should eat your dinner as if you were dining with the Queen". That meant elbows off the table, chew with your mouth closed and don't talk while there's food in your mouth. I think you got the "Queen" thing from Opa, or at least, that's something I could picture him saying when you were at that age. I am grateful that Jordan and I were held to a high standard of etiquette and how we presented ourselves to the world. Those guidelines gave me confidence at job interviews, meeting new people and treating the ones I love with the utmost respect. What you taught us is a strong mold, with a structured framework, to become the women we are
Everyone has character, yet it is the way that you mold character that is important. I am open to feedback and will accept any recommendations that are offered. I am always willing to grow as a person and view others’ insights as doors to that growth. I am honest and open, and proudly represent Windham High School as well as the greater community of Windham. I am dedicated to whatever I undertake; whether it be that I am volunteering as an SSP or petsitting animals for a week. Being a leader is inseparable with a good character. I try to lead by example, be it picking up a piece of garbage in the halls or by just refusing to say a discriminatory word.
Although I have yet to completely confirm my identity as a respected woman, I have found most of it through advocacy. I find strength in myself I somehow assumed nonexistent when I combine the facts with passion. I speak up against those who abandon their virtues of respect. I gain the courage to know when to lead myself with my voice, and when
Preparing for college starts well before senior year in high school. The primary purpose of a high school is to get students to go to college. The purpose of going to college is to gain work-related skills and knowledge on the career path a student takes which will eventually be their future. Also, students are investing a lot of money to attend colleges, so they count on high school to prepare them for what they are going to expect in college.

As I got older I was taught the meaning of a Peony Queen, leadership, confidence, courage, and most importantly heart/love. I was born with a big heart, one of the biggest, I always think of others before
I was taught the value of food by going to farms and milking cows. I learned how nothing is wasted. I saw traditions through own eyes and experienced them for myself instead of hearing vague stories that never seemed to be finished from getting choked up on nostalgia. I couldn’t help but feel guilty for thinking of them differently without having met them. They treated more like a daughter than my dad ever has. They made me feel included and loved. They’re everything I always imagined a family to be

One of my greatest skills is being able to be compassionate towards others. By placing myself into someone else’s shoes, I find myself being able to better understand where other people are coming from. I am an extremely caring person that will go to great lengths for anyone. I can easily overlook the differences in other people, and this is what helps me get along with almost anyone that I come across. In order to lead people in a positive direction you need to be able to relate to them on a more personal level. It is much easier when people feel comfortable around their leader. I always like to lend a helping hand or even a shoulder to cry on when it is needed. My strengths include integrity, optimism, faith, innovation, and adaptability. These strengths are important to have in leadership positions. Leaders should have a firm hold on their beliefs and morals in order to have a positive impact on people. Keeping my commitments is crucial to me, because I am a woman of my word. I think this is a good trait in leadership, because people need to be able to count on the person that they look up to. Optimism is also something I value. I belie...
An outsider is someone who doesn’t belong to a particular group, but are outsiders most likely to be a boy or a girl? Females are most likely to be an outsider because there is more pressure on them in society to look good and be attractive. Girls are judged on the way they look and how they act. Between a boy and a girl, a girl is most likely to be an outsider because girls are expected to look a certain way and act a certain way in society.
Prepping has become the new fad. A certain show on television has sensationalized the life style and more people are jumping on the band wagon every day. Today, I wanted to talk a little bit about survival or emergency kits. There are several debates out there on whether a kit that will get you through 3 days is going to be enough. Well, we will touch on that…
I am an intuitive-feeling personality. I am charismatic, participative and very people oriented. I tend to focus on the big picture and not the small specifics. I am not power hungry and try to be helpful and giving to those around me.
Therefore, my character traits: Wise and Resilient. Wisdom entwine with me at a young age, which caused me to look at events in life in many perceptions.
My mother has taught me so much over the past twenty-seven years and not until now did I realize that my great qualities that I have as a leader, my mother is the person to thank for all of these qualities.
They always told me to respect others no matter who they were, if I knew them or not, it 's a sign of respect from me and to the other person. It will show that I did grow up with a good education and it will also talk good about my parents. They always told me and kept reminding me that actions speak louder than words, to always show something that I was made of and not something that I 'm not. Hearing other people out, it shows your interests or even if you 're not, but try to show it because it 's showing respect to that person. Being respectful is a big part of me, I can never forget that, because if I want to be respected, I respect other people, to treat them the same way as I want to be treated, even if I think that I 'm not going to receive it back, and if I don 't, it shows that I 'm the bigger person. I guess that showing gratitude was one of the first thing that my parents showed me when I was younger, I always remember when I would receive something they would whisper in my ear or tell me to say "thank you" same thing if I wanted something, to say "please". To respect myself and not let others take
Later, I and my best friend Yonas we went to her home and he introduced me with her and we still are good friends. My childhood memories were the sweetest period of my life and I won’t forget my childhood memories based on those reasons that I mentioned before. The most important lessons that I learned since I was in elementary school was that how to shape my self focused in my education, respect everyone, reading different kind of books that might help me to look on my future career, and how can I be fulfilled my future dreams. And I have inspired by my mother Alem since I was in elementary school because she helped me a lot to focus on education, and she did more than enough for me and I’m thankful to have a mother like
