In the article “Learn How to Become a Psychologist” it states “Not everyone who studies psychology ends up working as a psychologist, but a psychology degree can open up many doors and pave the way for any number of careers in companies and organizations across the U.S.” (1). If some people are not lucky and do not get to work in that profession, then they will still have learned various tips and lessons on dealing with different people. You will still have that opportunity of making other people feel better about themselves even though you might not work as a psychologist. Just because you do not work in that career, it does not mean you cannot use what you have learned to help other people or yourself. Always make someone else feel better because you never know what they might be going through. Never take anything negative because there is always a positive side full of many opportunities for a person. Always strive for what you want because you might be able to live it and experience
Dr. Correia believes that if you want to be psychology make sure you like it enough to stick with it. Starting early and learning psychology as soon as possible and continuing with it would be the best advice if you want to be a psychologist. For Dr. Correia he greatly enjoys his job as a neuropsychologist. His future ambitions are to do more research on the brain. During my time in this class we did several case studies, where I learned to diagnose different clients and give possible treatments.
