I’ve had many thoughts about getting into various careers. Careers such as Marine Biologist, Veterinarian, Architect, Real Estate Agent, Astronomer, Doctor, Personal Trainer, Zoologist, Entrepreneur, Emergency Physician, Physician, and a Pharmacist; however, now that I’m a senior I have a certain piercing pressure placed upon my shoulders on figuring out what exactly I want to do. My fear is that I will choose to do something that I was not so sure about and by the time I realize it, it will be too late for I will be in a state of depression and regret. As you can see, I’ve had a lot of different careers on my mind, but it seemed to come down to one that I’ve never thought of, a Physical Therapist. In high school, the second semester of 11th grade in fact, is when I have put a lot of thought into my career. Many others have had their mind set, which is why I was always so hard on myself. Ever since, I have never been so serious about anything. I am looking forward to working with people and helping them when they fall, mentally and physically. The first thing I made sure I did before my senior year was to sign up for as many classes that will help me for my career; such as anatomy, psychology, and many other sciences. In the next month or so, I am going to job shadow a Physical Therapist, possibly at Ortho Arkansas. This will help me getting a better grasp of a typical day as a physical therapist. The next thing I will have to do is make sure I will be taking the right pre-requisite classes in college. I am going to take the kinesiology route for Physical Therapy. My goal in college is to get my master’s degree in Physical Therapy, possibly a doctorate’s degree. After four years of preparation, I will be as ready as ever to get into graduate school. I’m not sure which program is the best, or what I should look for in a program, that will be questions that I will ask multiple Physical Therapists, along with many other questions and
