During the summer break, why do families visit beaches so often? A very common vacation site for families during the summer season is the beach. Although the beach has many beautiful aspects that make up its unique scenery, it also provides many joyful and memorable emotions to its travelers. For my family, the beach has always been our favorite vacation site for the summer. Most people often refer to the beach as a peaceful yet exciting scene.
There are many different elements that make the beach a relaxing and fun environment. Three of the images presented were a starfish, a sand dollar, and a sea shell that focused on their individual texture and color. These images emphasized the beauty of different common features that are incorporated in the beach setting that provide amazement and interest to guests. Another visual shown focused on the view people experience at sunset on the ocean water. The beautiful

Two of the students mainly focused on what the object was and the location it was associated with. When Abigail viewed the items, she stated the name of the objects, and after viewing the first four pictures, she was able to identify the theme. Although, the zoomed in photo of the textured palm tree bark caused confusion for most. Shelby and Abigail both suggested that the image mirrored the texture of a traditional Easter basket. This photo was the first image shown to the audience; therefore, they had no background on what the theme could be. One student concentrated on the feelings that the scenery provided for her. Kylee instantly thought of two songs that reminded her of the location, “Cake by the Ocean” by DNCE and “California Girls” by Katy Perry. These photos immediately gave her a feeling of joy and excitement which reminded her of these songs. Although the theme was easily discovered, there are changes that need to be made to improve the
Section One - On the Beach Question 1: At the beginning Moira Davidson drinks a lot of Alcohol (alcohol). She is sad and angry because she can’t understand why the Australians have to pay for other people’s faults. John Osborne blames Moira to drink (for drinking?) too much to escape from reality.
The smell of the restaurants faded and the new, refreshing aroma of the sea salt in the air took over. The sun’s warmth on my skin and the constant breeze was a familiar feeling that I loved every single time we came to the beach. I remember the first time we came to the beach. I was only nine years old. The white sand amazed me because it looked like a wavy blanket of snow, but was misleading because it was scorching hot. The water shone green like an emerald, it was content. By this I mean that the waves were weak enough to stand through as they rushed over me. There was no sense of fear of being drug out to sea like a shipwrecked sailor. Knowing all this now I knew exactly how to approach the beach. Wear my sandals as long as I could and lay spread out my towel without hesitation. Then I’d jump in the water to coat myself in a moist protective layer before returning to my now slightly less hot towel. In the water it was a completely different world. While trying to avoid the occasional passing jellyfish, it was an experience of
It is where people can enjoy the water splashing on the shore while they stand on the warm sand. Looking out upon the ocean helps create a sense of wonder because it appears to go on forever and blends into the natural sky. While soothing sensation occurs as the waves approach and splash on the beach. Through the use a focal point, which appears to be the small children in the red shirts, the artist evokes feelings from many viewers who have visited the beach before. This brings back fond memories for those who have spent countless hours as children swimming in the ocean and enjoying the beach. It also brings back times of being relaxed by the soothing sounds of the ocean waves as the come onto the beach. The artist uses the element of color to help bring out more positive emotion. The white tips of the ocean waves help make the painting appear more realistic, the red shirt brings out the warmth and enjoyment of being on the beach, and the blue background brings out the cool soothing emotions with the natural beauty of the water and sky. These color help connect the audience into being reminded of all the fun going to the beach
Not every individual has an opportunity to go on vacation but when they do, it is taken very seriously. "A vacation is what you take when you can no longer take what you've been taking," Earl Wilson says. When going on a vacation, the decision of the best place to go is the toughest to make. In order to have a successful vacation, choosing what you want to do and making a plan of it, helps the process. Therefore, the purpose of this essay is to identify the differences between vacationing at a beach versus in a city, and contrasting them. The four kinds of differences in vacationing of both are the activities that can be done, the clothing requirements, the weather conditions to do so, and the pace of life that exists during.
Overall Marinescape by Edgar Payne leave one with a greater appreciation for the coast. The use of watercolors to capture the light from the sun and create shades of sunlight and darkness captures a beautiful morning. This is followed by the different brush strokes that while may lack detail still allow the viewer to see the power of the waves. For a person that has never seen the coast, this painting can give the viewer an almost life like representation and experience of what the Laguna Beach coast may look and feel. While impressionistic painting leaves out certain specifics, the atmosphere created by Payne’s techniques makes up for that lack by capturing the true essence of the Laguna Beach landscape.
...pend their free or discretionary time away from work and life’s obligations. These places provide people escapes from their everyday environments. In line with leisure being seen as recreational activities, these piers and beaches allow for fishing, swimming, walking, nature-viewing, among other activities. The water, sun, sand all help evoke a special attitude or state of mind that allows beach piers to be associated as places where fun can be had and culture can be shared through the spread of ideas, practices, beliefs, and values. While many primarily use the piers as means to socialize and have fun, they are also renewed mentally and spiritually in the process. By enjoying nature, they are able to partake in transcendent experiences, reflection on self and others, tranquility, increased awareness and connection to others, and appreciation of the world’s beauty.
There are many reasons the ocean is my favorite place to be. These range from the atmosphere and people at the ocean to the scenery experienced while there. It is a time for me to be free from all the hassles in my life and to "get away from it all," even if it is only for a week. The ocean should be enjoyed for what it is. Loud noise and all the hustle and bustle of boardwalks should not exploit it. At the ocean I can feel at home and at peace because it is my favorite place to be.
All aspects of nature such as the ocean, beach, vegetation, trees, sky, and man-made objects create an interesting combinations to create a nature scene of the Sunshine State. The light blue-gray sky create an atmosphere for the viewer that they are in a warm climate. The dark green and lighter green trees and shrubs are colored in such a manner to depict the harsh sun on the beach. The taller trees and shrubs are dark and shielding the viewer’s standpoint from the sun. The smaller vegetation on the left side of the painting are lighter colored which express their exposure to the sun. There is a balance in the painting that is directly affected by the painter’s ability to have you imagine the size of objects and the position of the sun. The artist uses good asymmetric balance. There is a very busy scene on the left side of the painting as the people are abandoning their ship that is ashore. The right side of the painting and the main focal point is the vegetation and the towering palm tree. The tree and vegetation give a sense of calmness and beauty. Both sides of the painting create a significant
as I gaily walk down the shoreline of the Outer Banks. My all time favorite
There is two visual elements that stick out to me are the colors of the poster and the way that the lines a shaped in the painting. There is only two colors in the painting which is black and white. The obvious ways that the colors are used is the white color is for the lighter things in painting and the black is used for the darker objects. For example the white color is used for the sand. Also it is used for the hammock that is tied to two of the palm trees. The sky in the background is white as well along with the ocean which has dark shade mixed into it to show the waves. Another white object in the painting is the lamp post which is hanging over the pier and the wood that the pier is made out of. The black color is used for the palm trees and the palm leaves that hang on them. The rocks that the water meets before it gets to the sand are also the color black. The other side of the bay
Due to the extremely hot weather in Florida, one of the most popular places to visit are the beaches and pools. I believe going to the beach is better than the pool. There are so many beaches in South Florida it is just astonishing! For many people that do not live in Florida, going to the beach for the first time is an exciting and memorable moment for them. Just imagine their anticipation coming to Florida and hearing all the good news about the beaches! They are not going to be interested in going to the pool. Come on! Not only are the beaches loved by the people who do not live in Florida but even Floridians love their beaches. There are many people that enjoy going to the beach to relax or wake up super early to watch the breathtaking sunset. You have reached the beach and while you are walking, your toes sink into the warm, silky, light brown sand. Once you have set your towel on the sand and you have applied
Walking on a land of gold, the sand being so soft and smooth, glistens as it reflects the suns rays with joy. Cool, light and refreshing, the breeze gently eases up against my skin and glides through my hair, sending a gentle shiver up my spine. The rustling of leaves, small array of birds and delicate splashes of the sea are amazingly soothing and relaxing. The whole beach itself looks like a painted picture with a spectrum of colours all merged with one another. The sea also showing off a wide range of colours that reflects of the surface, like a dancing peacock showing off its finely detailed feathers.
When choosing the perfect vacation to go on with the family, keep the beach and the mountains in mind. They are both great places, but they have a lot of differences and similarities within the two. The beach is for more of people that likes the sun and don’t mind being around a lot of people. The mountains are for more of people that like the calmer life and likes heights. In general, people like the beach over the mountains. The beach and the mountains are both great places when it comes to vacation sites , but generally people choose the beach over the mountains because of the places to stay, the beautiful weather, and the many choices in activities to do.
Ever since Sunset Beach has been officially opened to the public, there has been a drastic increase of tourists present. Television programs concluded that at least a thousand people visit the beach everyday. Reasons for their stay are that they feel comfortable with the environment that surrounds the beach front, people who are at the beach are joyous and numerous activities to enjoy, and the fresh scent of the sparkly waters, make the visitors feel calm and pleasurable. So I decided to take a trip there.
Where to go on vacation is a popular conundrum in many households every year. People enjoy going out of town to relieve stress and get away from work for a short time. The beach and the city are both great places to vacation. They are both open anytime of the year. It depends on what you want to accomplish where you should decide to go. I hope the next few paragraphs help you make that tough decision easier.
