Have you set off for the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and a current pushed you all the way to the coast of Tampa bay, Florida? The men had to figure a way to travel to west Mexico from Tampa Bay, Florida. After months the goal was no longer colonization, it was survival. Cabeza De Vaca survived by developing surviving skills, getting resources, and meeting new people.
From an early age I always knew I would be playing soccer my whole life. My dad showed me the ropes of how to play and got me interested right away. By the age of three I had started playing, and to this day I have not stopped. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and I don’t know where I would be today if I never played. I met some amazing people playing soccer including my coaches who encouraged me and told me never to give up as well as my teammates who became my friends and were always there for me.
While I have developed my soccer skills over the years, the relationships I have built with people are treasured more than my ability to play the game. Playing soccer has granted me the opportunity to be surrounded by an extensive family of people who truly love me. I am forever indebted to the sport for bringing me into love-filled relationships with players and coaches alike.

As an athlete, I had similar dreams of one day making it big. It is the dream of all young athletes to make it to the big times and make big money. At 19 years of age I was very sure I know what life is all about, no one can tell me anything different...

Players like Messi, Neymar, and Christian Ronaldo are some of the most celebrated soccer stars today, thanks to their ability to combine talent and creativity. It is no wonder that they have scooped awards interchangeably, year after year.

Hello, I’m Chloe Hayden and today I’m going to be conveying to you the untold stories of Wales’ capital city, Cardiff and how its history and growth is unlike any other city in the world. Although Cardiff is in the top 10 biggest cities in the UK now, it hasn’t always been that way. Events such as the world wars and the industrial revolution has helped greatly to develop Cardiff from a small town to a large bustling city with attributes to rival larger cities such as London, although both London and Cardiff have grown massively in recent years each city they have each adapted to its growth in different ways.
...cally fit man. He was known for his HUGE appetite and big belly hanging out of his uniform. But he was determined (like Muhammad and Jordan) to put in the hours of PRACTICE and hard work to make himself a better player. All three of these famous sport idols (there were more of course) showed that that they had the growth mindset. They understood that it takes time, effort and determination to achieve their goals! They had to practice to get better. They had to put in their time of hours of hours of practice to become who they are today. They had the character, the heart, the will and the Mind of a Champion. They were champions because they had the growth mindset. They saw setbacks as motivating, to try their best, by learning and improving. They took charge of their processes that bring success and learned how to maintain them. (Dweck, 2006, p. 98-100).
If I don’t make the pros I could still use my athletic skill to have a career. There are many similar occupations of a soccer player such as , P.E. teacher, fitness trainer and a soccer manager. I could also be a sports instructor. Even though I wouldn’t have my dream job I could still have a fun job in sports.
Since I can remember I’ve always played soccer. Whether it was kicking the ball inside my house, this didn’t go over well with my mom, or playing on a youth team, club team, or school team. I first started with my dad in our yard, playing keep-away with my sister for hours at a time. When I grew old enough I immediately joined my local club team Wayne Wings. Wayne Wings helped me expand my skill level tremendously as well as build an even stronger bond with my dad as he volunteered to be the coach. I was voted to be the captain and became the top player. After my skills flourished in this lower league I looked to find a higher level and joined an elite club team, Webster Dynamo, that was an age group up from mine. My coach helped me improve my
Living in country like Vietnam, soccer is the king of sport. That is why it is not surprising that my childhood has grown up with the soccer’s ball until today. My mom told me that I liked kicking the ball around and had so much fun with it when I was only about two years old. Since then, playing soccer is my favorite’s sport and it is my hobby whenever I have free time. It is interesting and amazing, especially the feeling when I score a goal or my teammates do it. That feeling fulfills in me like I have just archived something very important. Playing soccer also helps me to relax and be confident when I have stress and frustration. For instant, after doing assignment or studying all day long, I feel tired and exhausted. However, having fun with the ball such as kicking it against the wall or trying to do some tricks, all of my tiresome and exhaustion die out.
