Barack Obama Research Paper

Barack Obama was a strong president for many reasons. Barack Obama was the 44th president of the United States of America. He set many standards and achieved many goals in his two presidential terms. Many people didn't think he should have been president because he was born in Hawaii two years after it became a state.

Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. His parents were Stanley (Ann) Dunham and his father was Barack Obama Sr., they split up when he was only an infant. His mother was a White American from Kansas and his father was an African American from Kenya. After the divorce, he would only see his father about once or twice every year. He and his mother would always be moving around since the divorce, so she decided he would stay with his grandparents for a while. At one point in time, he was living Indonisia with his mother, he also had a pet ape named Tata. When his mother was around, she would always do what was best for him. When Barack was six, his mother would wake him up early to teach him to read and write. Unfortunately his father, Barack, died in 1982, in a fatal car crash. In 1995, his mother, Ann,

He found out he had about six Kenyan brothers, such as Bernard and Roy, and one sister. These siblings are from other marriages. Barack Obama worked at Sidney Law firm when he met Michelle Robinson. They really liked each other when they were working together. They got married on October 3, 1992. They would go on and have two daughters, Malia Ann, born July 4, 1998, and Natasha, also known as Sasha was born on June 10, 2001.
In 2007, he decided to run for president as a democrat. He was going up against John McCain in the 2008 presidential election. During his two terms, 2009-2017, as president he accomplished many things. He signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, an economic stimulus package which included increased spending on healthcare, infrastructure, education and more. He also helped pass healthcare reform, helped enhance the enhance the economy, passed the wall street reform, played key leadership in United Nations framework convention, boosted fuel efficiency, and many other things. He also knew that many Americans could not afford a doctor. He believed that everyone should afford a doctor. He also thought he should improve relationships with other countries.
He has achieved much more than becoming a president. He is the only president born in Hawaii, and the first African American president to ever live. He won two grammys for his audiobook versions of “Dreams from my father” written in 2006, and his other audiobook “The audacity of hope” written in 2008. He also won the Nobel peace prize in 2009 for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people.” Time Magazine named him man of the year in 2008 and in 2012.
He has had an interesting life as you can see, but there is more.

When he was growing up, his mother thought he could be president at a young age. When he was younger, people would call him Barry, the nickname went away when he went to college. He also loved reading comics, his favorite was superman. He has also read every Harry potter book. Another thing he loves is basketball. He used to play for his high school team in Chicago, where he earned the nickname “O’bomber.” Growing up he wanted to be an architect, but growing up he decided that he would run for president. When he was running for president, he had promised his daughters that he would buy them a dog. He bought a Portuguese water dog, they named it Bo. He is now worth 12.2 million dollars. As you can see, Barack Obama has lived an incredible life. His is one of the five former presidents still living. Barack Obama was a strong president for many reasons. He has shown to all African Americans that with hard work, anything is possible.
