Sarah and her mother are sought out by the French Police after an order goes out to arrest all French Jews. When Sarah’s little brother starts to feel the pressures of social injustice, he turns to his sister for guidance. Michel did not want to go with the French Police, so he asks Sarah to help him hide in their secret cupboard. Sarah does this because she loves Michel and does not want him to be discriminated against. Sarah, her mother, and her father get arrested for being Jewish and are taken to a concentration camp just outside their hometown. Sarah thinks Michel, her beloved brother, will be safe. She says, “Yes, he’d be safe there. She was sure of it. The girl murmured his name and laid her palm flat on the wooden panel. I’ll come back for you later. I promise” (Rosnay 9). During this time of inequality, where the French were removing Sarah and her mother just because they were Jewish, Sarah’s brother asked her for help. Sarah promised her brother she would be back for him and helped him escape his impending arrest. Sarah’s brother believed her because he looks up to her and loves her. As the story continues, when Sarah falls ill and is in pain, she also turns to her father for comfort, “at one point she had been sick, bringing up bile, moaning in pain. She had felt her father’s hand upon her, comforting her” (Rosnay 55).
When he arrives at his home he notices a small rag doll on his doorstep. Confused, but intrigued he picks up the doll and carried it inside. He proceeded up his stairs to his computer work with the doll still in hand and placed it up against a lamp. After he sits down he studies the doll more carefully and notices a small folded note with a pin holding its place next to the small hand. The note is written in Viennese, not knowing the language since he was eight, he puts it down and examines the doll and sees two stitched crosses where the eyes should be, one for the nose, one over the heart, and five for the mouth. He leaves the room and when he enters the doll isn't where he left it and there is a message on his computer that had not been there before. It reads " the deadline is dawn ". Scared by the note he tries to find the doll. When he picks it up off the floor, he props the doll next to the lamp where it had been before.

In the image, a passage from the bible is put, where it talks about the kingdom of god and that the kingdom of god is in all people and not a physical thing you can see. The idea of not being to able to visually see the kingdom of god is shown in the image of Jesus with people around him. Additionally, the humans under Jesus have their eyes close, whereas Craig has his eyes open looking at the blanket realizing that the blanket that he believed was his comfort and his faith was all wrong. In the end Craig feels as though he becomes so infatuated with Raina who he had seen as that image of God and his faith, let to him in the end feeling as though he has been made the wrong choice in seeing another human as a
Jenny asked, “On the first picture what do you see?” Jacob replies, “I see a bird who wants to learn to fly. The bird then draws pictures so he can figure out ways to fly. This picture the bird has the fan so he can learn how to fly; the wind is pushing him, and he can stay in one place and learn. Now he has the air glider thing that way he could also fly different ways and then once he can do that he can fly. Now he has a rocket booster so he can learn how to fly fast, and now he has crashed in all of them. The birds that can fly are laughing at him, and it makes him sad. Then I ask do you think he will give up? Jacob replies, “No since he does not care what others think and now he is trying to make a new machine so he can fly. He made an airplane so now he can fly, and the others will not laugh at him. The bird is happy at first he was sad now he is happy. Jenny asked, “Why do you think he did not give up?” Jacob replies, “He knew he could not fly so he built machines so that he could

For 12 weeks I observed a young pre-schooler Child C aged 31/2 years old, through my account I would give an observer’s view of Child C, three theories peculiar to Child C and my the emotions evoked in me as an observer. My observation assisted in my understanding of the changes in Child C as the week progressed over the 12 weeks.

As Easter morning arrived, I arose to discover that Joey was still sleeping, unusual for a three-year-old. When I tried to wake him, he said his back was hurting and he did not want to get up. I waited a little while, went back into his room and once again had a hard time arousing him. This time I asked him to stand up for me in an attempt to figure out what was bothering him. He must have been in tremendous pain; when he tried to stand he was unsteady, his little legs were shaking much like that of a frightened puppy. It was time to take him to the emergency room. Something was terribly wrong.
