The Baha’i faith is considered to be one of the newest religions that is being practiced today with about six million followers. It was founded by Siyyid ‘Ali Muhammad who proclaimed to be the “Bab” (the “Gate”) in the mid-19th century in modern day Iran. Many people might think that Islam and the Baha’i faith are similar because both religions share similar daily practices. However, they are not similar based on their concept of tawheed, their primary purpose of life, and their beliefs of the hereafter. Therefore, Baha’i’s and Muslims have more differences than they are similar.
The Baha’i faith began to become recognized in 1844. Many people believe that the Baha’i faith grew out of the Shiite sect of Islam while others believe it should be considered a distinct religion due to its contradicting teachings of the Islamic faith. The spread of the Bab’s “prophetic message” in Iran angered many people there which then lead to the Bab and

The Islamic religion is referred to as the original faith. Their holy text is the Koran and the followers of the Islam religion are called Muslims. They worship God and the prophet Muhammad. However, in the early 1900s, a new religion, the Nation of Islam began. The Nation of Islam consists of people who also call themselves Muslims, but have a more radical approach to their faith. Though both believers of the Nation and Islam are called Muslims, their idea of Islam is very different. Those who believe in the Nation of Islam believe that they are a lost tribe of Israel. They believe that Black people, especially the few in the nation, will one day rule the world. In contrast, the goal of
Even though this might seem paradoxal to those most keen stereotypes of the contemporary popular image of Islam as hermetic and sectarian, the pattern of drawing people together while protecting the individuals’ freedom of beliefs is part of the anthropological DNA of the religion. Within its a context of emergence and expansion and with regard to the inner endless subdivisions of the Islamic faith, the principle of pluralism was naturally forged.

Thus, Muslims believe in the same God as Jews and Christians.
The Baha’i Faith is the newest of the Abrahamic monotheistic faiths. In Baha’i Faith, there is one and only one God, meaning there is no Trinity. God is the one that created the world and everything that is on it. God is too great and subtle for human beings; therefore humans cannot capture a clear picture or have a full understand of God. One cannot see God at all because God does not have a body nor does he take shape in human flesh. One can learn about God through prayer, meditation, and study. Baha’is believes that God chose different prophets throughout history to display his will to the world. That being said, Prophets like Moses, Muhammad, Krishna, Jesus, Abraham, Buddha, and many others are considered to be messengers of that one God. Baha’u’llah is considered a prophet of god for this age. You may ask, what about individuals of different religions who pray to God by different names? Baha’is would say that even though they using different names they are still praying to the same God.

A Muslim does not have any relation to an Arab, yet people do confuse the two. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Allah is not the God for Muslims; he is the creator of all creatures including mankind. Islam means to surrender freely to the Commandments and will of their God. This compliance comes from within, from belief in and conviction to Allah. It should also come from love, trust, and affection. Muhammad meditated in a cave on Mount Hira, when he had a revelation. He believed that he was called by God to be a teacher of new faith. Muhammad wrote the Koran, and it is what the people lived by. The scriptures are based on how to avoid punishment from Allah. It emphasizes if you follow the right path, Allah will reward you in the end. The 5 pillars of Islam are the basic fundamentals of Muhammad’s teachings. The 5 Pillars consist of; Shahadah, Salat, Zakat, Sawm, and Hajj. The Salat is the most exaggerated, where prayer is done five times a day. The 5 pillars are taken very seriously every day. Islam is one of the most popular religions to this

...ethics, and so forth. The crucial piece of information to remember about this religion is that they greatly emphasis unity and have a great amount of diversity. Even though it is a diverse religion, all of the Muslims are monotheistic and solely believe that Allah is the creator of everything, including humans. As a human being they believe that they are in debt to God or simply stated as according to Seyyed Hossein Nasr, “Therefore, all that we are and all that we have belongs to God for which we are indebted to Him and for whose gifts we must give thanks (shukr)” . God is the Absolute and the main point of the Islamic religion is that it is crucial to worship him and follow his commands, and that will lead to peace among everyone.
