Introduction
There is not a set definition of a “bad parent” nor is there one for a “good parent”. Everyone has different ways of parenting their children. Some may have learned on their own and some may have learned from others. In any scenario they were probably taught after the baby was born. Keep in mind, that it takes two people to make a baby so it will be the responsibility of two people to raise the baby. With having no knowledge on how to raise a human being the stress will start to roll in.
I myself was a victim of bad parenting. My biological mother was a very unfit parent and she had 3 children. She would always put getting drunk and her many boyfriends before her children. We would always have random babysitters that would watch us overnight. Since my

High school is what prepares everyone in some way for the real world. Only 65.9% of high school seniors go off to college. Which means 34.1% will take adulthood head on. Not everyone is prepared to have a child. No one knows what life will throw at them so it’s better to be prepared early on. I want to be able to help decrease child neglect and lower the foster care population. I’ve experienced and seen parents not knowing how to take care of their children and it’s heart breaking.
This parenting class is necessary because it can change so many lives out there for the better. This class will not only benefit the student for when they have their own child, but it will prepare them for taking care of any child. The curriculum will include how to care for children in every stage of their life. It will also include how to manage everything with school, work, and a baby. The course will cover all aspects of what the reality is to be a parent. The outcome I want is to have the foster homes decrease and not have any children go through pain and suffering caused by their own
What is good parenting? Many think good parenting consists of keeping a close eye on their child but this in many ways can be detrimental to the child. Personally, my mother was not present for most of my childhood. However, it in no way hindered my growth as a child, instead it brought me up and made me very independent at a young age. Similar to reality, literature depicts the complexity of the relationships between a mother and daughter as well. In I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou, Maya’s mother abandons her as a young child and is an inconsistent presence in her life. In Emergence: Labeled Autistic by Temple Grandin, Temple’s mother is constantly devoted to her and gives her the best opportunities possible. While both Maya
A high school diploma is important to my future like it is for many individuals who have goals and aspirations to succeed in life. A high school diploma is a foundation for basic education before going to college and it's a great accomplishment not too many people get to have. With a high school diploma many educational and professional opportunities will be available to me. I'll have better long term economic outcomes than individuals who do not have a high school diploma.
Having a stable parental foundation is crucial in raising a healthy child. Furthermore, deciding on the parenting style of preference also plays a significant factor in ensuring the development of a flourishing child. Certainly there were flaws in my parent’s parenting methods, having made both positive and negative influences in my progression through my childhood. With the intentions of becoming a parent in the near future I hope I can one day provide my children with the same healthy experience that my own father and mother have.
A parent’s parenting styles are as diverse as the world we live in today. Nowadays, parents only want what is best for their children and their parenting styles plays a crucial role in the development of children which will in the long run, not only effect the child’s childhood years, but later prolong into their adult life as well.
There is no manual for being the perfect parent, so parents have to go through a series of successes and fails in order to find what is best for their family. Nevertheless every parent believes that their way of parenting is the best and the way others should raise their children.
Often times, you will here parents saying that they are doing the best that they can. Sometimes “the best that they can” isn’t always best for the child, as not every child wins the parent lottery. Unfortunately, not every parent tries to do the best that they can every day. Some parents do not want to be parents or are simply just tired of being parents, so they neglect their children. Thankfully, though, there are loving, caring parents who do get up every day and try their best for their children.
School is a process that takes time and a lot of dedication. When we finish high school we have to choose to go to college or not. Most people go to college without knowing what they want to do. The only thing we know is that we want a degree of some sort. Getting a college degree should be essential to everybody because without one you won’t be successful in life.
The slightest dysfunction in a family structure can be detrimental to a child’s development. Children often act out and take part in delinquent activities. In order to increase a child’s chance to succeed in life, they must be raised in a stable environment involving two parents. This helps them to feel included in the family and will help build their confidence and independence later in life.
I envision high school as an essential stepping stone for everyone. The era where every individual lacks the complete confidence in defining who they are or what they want to be. The four years of high school was the moment and opportunity to seek the interests that stood out to me the most. The experiences you make and the people you associate with are a crucial part of finding yourself.
There are many approaches to parenting and everyone has their own preferences as to what they think is best. In a fast paced rush around society, it is hard to know what the best choices are for your children. There is a struggle to balance what needs to be done with what can be done, and this has negative and positive feedback on the children. Parents play a critical role in shaping and guiding their children into functional confident adults. An effective parent will learn as they teach in order to grow into understanding with their children.
The purpose of a high school education is to prepare one for college and ultimately, the workforce. By the end of freshman year, in high school, the average student has learned a sufficient amount of material in enough subjects that he or she can be considered "well-rounded" in his or her studies. This is because the rate at which material is covered in schools, across the nation, has increased dramatically compared to the past. Students now learn more advanced curriculum at a younger age, and this continues to become more evident year after year. High school has now become more focused on teaching students a small amount of information on several essential subjects, rather than having them focus deeply on the subjects they seek to pursue in their career.
Successful parenting may be judged by many different standards. Raising a child to be a respectful, mature, and independent adult requires a great deal of effort. There are several parenting styles, and not all lead a child to reaching their full potential. Overpowering sternness leads may lead to a rebellious child, while passive parenting may lead children to inept for the challenges of adulthood. Parenting requires more than teaching children submissiveness, or building of self-importance. Children learn best from a role model who is admirable. Parenting is a great opportunity to set the course of one’s entire life in the right direction.
middle of paper ... ... Parents must be vigilant and cautious of their actions in front of children. Parents must maintain an active status in the child's social and academic life, to be able to guide the child in the most correct manner as possible. No parent or teacher is perfect, but as a parent or facilitator one must be open minded to negative development at any stage of life of a child.
Children are the future of the world and need to be nurtured and educated in the best conditions. Thus, parenting is one of the most challenging and admirable responsibilities that people can experience. Parenting plays important roles in the development of children’s characteristics. Some people nurture children depending on their own ways. Others get advice from friends or books. Parenting can be divided into three groups: authoritative, permissive, and democratic parenting.
Parenting carries love, moral values, life skills, knowledge, traditional and so on to their children all the time. Most of the children practice the moral values, knowledge, and tradition which taught by their parents. In this way, most of them follow and believe in their parents’ word. Basically, children world views and mind were deeply shaped by their parents. Most of the children exercise what their parents practice. Children learn to make sense of what is going on around them by interact with their parents and surroundings. Through the “eyes” of their parents, they learn to see, think, question and look for answer which can satisfy them. If children were raised in a good or positive way, there is a very great probability that our society would be better off. Hence, from my point of view, parenting should be a privilege for a better future not only for the children it own but also our society.
