Where as a kinesthetic learner will find it difficult to learn the subject if listening.Kinesthetic learners will get a better grasp of the material if handed a model or being able to come in contact with the concept. When
The purpose of the Myers-Biggs Type Indicator personality type is to make the philosophy of psychological indicators defined by C.G Jung comprehensible and beneficial to people. On the other hand, several people realize that every individual prefers diverse learning styles and methods, which is the common way of learning. According to Howard Gardner, to lengthen the learning ability of people, more cognizance needs to be given to different learning style that people will prefer to receive data. The learning styles test identified me as a tactile-kinesthetic learner, meaning that I learn best by doing, rather than listening or seeing. This means that I need to adapt my studying to methods that correlate with this style. Some of the suggestions given by the Abiator’s active classroom website seemed useful and relevant, such as using flashcards while pacing the room, while others seemed absurd, such as covering my workspace in colored construction paper.
If a person was to ask the average student what their learning style was, they would likely ponder because most students would not know what their learning style is. This is the case for Jeremy, a college student who discovered that the learning styles were broken down into three categories: Auditory, Visual, and Tactile. According to Educationplannner.org (2011), an auditory learner retains knowledge more efficiently by listening, Visual is learning through reading and writing, and tactile is learning by physical touching. Through a learning styles assessment from Educatoinplanner.edu (2011), Jeremy found that he is: twenty percent tactile, thirty-five percent auditory, and forty-five percent visual. Learning style is the way we tend to learn best. It involves our preferred methods and combination of various learning models. There are several learning style models. What are learning styles people may ask? Well most people know it by just a system that groups an individual on how well they would learn using visual, auditory, reading and writing, or kinesthetic methods. These are the main learning techniques but to understand that all people use these methods the learning styles to help them individually to find out what are their strength and weaknesses in those areas. For an adolescent they could gain this knowledge to help them learn; they could access their strengths and work on their weaknesses. In secondary education, students might have preferred ways of learning. There are some teachers that do help students learn by changing their lesson plans and using different learning styles. Methods like experiments, field trips or role play are rarely used. Because of that, labs and tutorials are more essential for these learners. Among the methods that can help these learners are by trying to use all the senses in the learning process because the more senses you use the higher recall will be, as you have many clues. In addition, make notes with several examples for each concept and use your own examples, the more personal examples you create, the better you remember. A very important thing to note is that this questionnaire is not designed to predict the ability of someone to make the diagnosis.
Learning styles are how individuals approach learning new concepts based on their strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. Acquiring and being aware of your learning styles is beneficial to accurately processing information that could be used for intellectual growth. Furthermore, learning styles are a part of how humans function and receive information from their world, so not being properly informed about this concept could bloom confusion, dysfunction, and chaos in society. Each learning style has a different goal and approach in interpreting information based on each individual’s abilities and should be regarded as being such. Nonetheless, it is a complex system that is produced to simplify and make sense of our world. Read/write was the
“A learning style is a way of learning and refers to the way that you learn new information” (2). Most people have one preferred learning style and perform to a lesser standard when learning in a different style than what they’re used to. Nowadays, children are told to take a quiz in school to determine what their preferred learning style is, but after a few years, not many of these children remember what their preferred learning style is, or even if they do, they don’t apply it to their learning.

Since personality traits of each individual is different the learning styles is also different due to different working patterns that they have. The theories talk about three different types of learning styles, they are activists and reflectors and pragmatists.

Learning is a cooperative effort, requiring engagement on the parts of both students and teachers. Each student also has their own learning style: they learn at their own pace and in their own ways. While I is important to establish your teaching style, you should also be flexible enough to take the learning styles of your students into account.
