Aveda: A Mission in Motion

Aveda, is an ecofriendly firm which actions consistently back up their objectives. Founded in 1978 with the mission to “care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways we give back to society, at Aveda we strive to be an example for environmental leadership and responsibility, not just for the world of beauty, but around the world.” (Aveda, 2016) What a bold statement.
Since inception Aveda has been a pioneer in the industry of providing the highest quality of product while taking care of the planet. Actions speak louder then words. In 1989, Aveda was the first privately owned company to sign up with CERES, the Coalition for Environmental Responsibility Economies, demonstrating environmental leadership and responsibility. Since 1999 Aveda has been celebrating the entire month of April as Earth Month, having raised over US $44 million to help support organizations that promote environmental change.
