Authoritative Parenting is a scientifically proved effective parenting style among adolescent in Canada. Its effectiveness in providing growth, success and discipline are unparalleled in comparison to Authoritarian style.
Parental involvement and creating enrichment for educational purpose and life among adolescent is something parents had lacked to teach the youth. Its direct correctional with in class, as well as workforce success makes it more assuring and successful choice than other parenting styles. Individual who have experienced an authoritarian parenting style, have demonstrated having lower results on exam and test paper then authoritative style. This was stated in accordance with the Canadian education system.(Garg et al,2005). The importance of rationale, is very important in the child development process. It provides the child, reasoning for occurrence of events and certain key reaction from parents(Spera,2005). Parents need to understand, that involvement in their children happiness and sad times is crucial to their development. The child, is lost and often times requires appreciation and guidance not anger.(Spera,2005). The balance between love, and discipline is important. Adolescent need appreciation, their thirst for being appreciated is often left unsatisfied. A incentive provides children, with happiness and further motivation to continue to succeed and aim for progression. The authoritative style of parenting provides the children with discipline and enforcement with rules.
