X When I was young and saw the picture like the figure1, I think it was not real. It cannot happen in the earth. Maybe someone did Photoshop to edit and retouch the colorful colors in that picture. However, it is a natural phenomenon that happened in the earth 's atmosphere. Galileo Galilei named this phenomenon as "Aurora Borealis." I have three areas of information about auroras to advise you: what aurora borealis is, where the aurora borealis typically seen is, and comparison and contrast this information with Witch Child. The auroras are the colorful shimmering lights movement on a sky that caused by collisions between electrically charged particles released by the solar wind from the sun and gaseous particles in the earth 's magnetic field and atmosphere. You can see the lights above the magnetic poles of the northern and southern. "Aurora borealis" or "Northern Lights" occur around the northern magnetic pole. On the other hand, auroras that occur around the southern magnetic pole are called "Aurora australis" or "Southern Lights." "Aurora," this word comes from the Roman goddess of dawn. It means you can come to see this phenomenon in the earth at the North Pole and the South Pole. …show more content…
Type of gaseous particles (atoms of oxygen and nitrogen) and the altitude of the colliding are making many different colors of auroras at altitudes from 20 to 200 miles above the earth 's surface. The common colors and the brightest are glittering green-yellow which produced by oxygen atoms located 60 miles (100 kilometers) above the earth. Conversely, all-red auroras are rare to see and produced by high-altitude oxygen atoms at 200 miles (320 kilometers) above the earth by extremely energetic solar particles. Ionized nitrogen molecules produced blue or purple
This push of energy was palatable. In that moment, at 2:01 a.m., I pushed the shutter on my camera and caught the photo on the preceding page. Did my flash bounce off of rapidly developing ectoplasm (the stuff of which ghosts are supposedly made)? Who knows, but I have shared this photo for your consideration.
...nd violet wavelengths are the shortest, and violet is the least visible to the human eye. These wavelengths are scattered throughout the day and caused by a redirection of the light-waves direction due to gas molecules in the atmosphere (Mc Knight, p. 84). When the sun is setting towards the end of the day there are few blue wavelengths left and we see orange and red which are dominant and the longest wavelengths of visible light to the human eye. At the bottom of the photo (closest to the setting sun) red and orange are the dominant visible colors with the occasional blue and almost violet. If our eyes could not see orange and red our sunsets would be a dark blue or black.
Pullman used the concept dust in Northern Lights. Dust is a convention for human physically inspired by God's judgement. It is not just the ending and the beginning of human physical existence and the origins of universe. Pullman was influenced by John Milton the paradise lost and his concept dust. Pullman used the word to connect everything with everything and the parallel worlds. The church considers dust as the original sin. The oblation board wants to cut and sever the daemons of the children to prevent the dust from setting on the child and to prevent daemons to settle when children become adult. The church thinks that dust may threaten its absolute power. The individuals that go through cutting their daemons operation will be subject
I was born with an inherent fascination for all things celestial. Ever since I was young, I have been staring at the night sky trying to find constellations, or using my juvenile imagination to create my own. My efforts to find, view, and mentally catalogue everything the heavenly bodies have to offer has led me to employ some over-the-top measures, but the most extreme of them all might be the night I stayed awake through the wee hours of the morning to catch a glimpse of a meteor shower. Over the course of an entire year, the memory of this stupefying event is still as lucent and vivid as it was that very night so long ago.
They’re carbon stars, a unique type of variable star, which accumulate soot in their upper atmosphere that scatters light near the blue end of the spectrum. What’s left for us to view is the red component of a star’s light. As the carbon particles build up, the star fades in brightness and gets even redder. Eventually, the carbon absorbs enough radiation to escape the star, and the cycle starts over again.
Lightning is an interesting form in the earth's atmosphere. People will always have their own beliefs and theories of how lightning forms and why it approaches land and people the way it does. However, there is much research that explains how lightening is formed and why it happens when it does.

The Orion Nebula is an emission nebula because of the O-type and B-type stars contained within it. These high-temperature stars emit ultraviolet (UV) light that ionizes the surrounding hydrogen atoms into protons (H+) and electrons (e-). When the protons and electrons recombine, the electrons enter a higher energy level (n=3). Then, when the electron drops from the n=3 level to the n=2 level, an Hphoton is emitted. 2 This photon has a wavelength of 6563 Å, and therefore corresponds to the red portion of the visible spectrum. It is these H photons which give the nebula the distinctive red color which we see.
They lie above the night sky, darker than even the deepest seas. Sparkle with bright light, just like a pearl, but they seemed no bigger than a grain of sand.
Magnetic Field: The Earth has a superior magnetic field due to a core consisting of iron and nickel. Currently the rotation of the Earth and its Coriolis effect help to create this pull of the tides from the oceans. The northern lights or lurora Borealis can be seen at various times in a mystifying view of beauty.

The magnetosphere, which is a constituency of strong magnetic forces surrounding Earth, gets compressed to become a teardrop shape by the solar wind as it moves past Earth. The magnetosphere stops the solar wind from reaching our Earth’s surface. When the solar wind blusters on a comet, it makes an ion tail which is one of the many types of tails a comet can have. There are some ion tails that are long and straight, and there are some made of ionized matter, that solar winds blow off the comet. Some solar winds miss the Earth when solar winds infringe our magnetic fi...
“Using Tesla type technology they created plasma in the atmosphere around the Earth. Now they can produce light in the atmosphere. Brightness, and almost any color. They can make a gray sky red, or a red sky gray or blue or white.”
Still at times, the sky will have a pale blue color. This is because the scattered blue colors have to go through other gas molecules, and in turn get scattered more. It is like dividing a particular mass into many pieces, and the final results will be just tiny masses. This is how blue color gets divided before it reaches our eyes.
The Earth’s magnetic field is a major component to exploring the earth. The north and the south poles have always been a guide for travelers. Using compasses, the direction of the north pole and the south pole has always been provided by the magnetic force of the magnetic field. What many people do not know though is the earth’s magnetic field provides way more than that. The magnetic field, also known as the magnetosphere, protects us from all kinds of harmful substances. Some of these substances include solar wind and harmful radiation from the sun. The magnetosphere also protects the atmosphere, which protects us.
