To Kill a Mockingbird is a modern day tale of justice, prejudice and morality. The main character of To Kill a Mockingbird is Atticus Finch. Atticus Finch’s character represents reason, morality, and justice in this tale. The story, told from Scout Finch’s point of view, is set in Maycomb, Alabama during the Great Depression. The story tells of Atticus Finch’s woes, worries, and challenges faced in defending Tom Robinson, a black man, accused of raping a white woman. In the heat of the moment Atticus retains a cool and reasonable head, and he never backs down. These are admirable traits that most people strive to be known for. Misha and his family were homeless during his childhood, and one day a person bought his family lunch. Misha says that this one small random act of kindness fuels him to this day to constantly do positive things to others and do well by others (Inspired, 2017). This was his goal, and now looking back at his 44 years of life, it could be said his goal was reached. Misha is making a difference by spreading kindness. He encourages people to engage in random acts of kindness, and better the lives of those around you. Misha has founded and funded many organizations, such as Random Acts, which is a non-profit organization that builds schools and homeless shelters for those in need. His work is relevant because we live in a world where there is so much cruelty, and Misha is spreading love and kindness to combat it. One small act of kindness can change someone’s life for the better, and Misha realizes that, and makes sure everyone he meets realizes that too. “Even small acts of kindness can make a profound difference to somebody else.” He even puts his neck on the line if it means supporting, and standing by the little man. He has gone against powerful people’s wishes just to ensure that the smaller voices weren’t ignored. Many people have claimed that Misha has saved their lives, improved their self-esteem/self-worth, their view on the world, and so much more. Some even go as far as to say that Misha changed their minds when it came to taking their lives, solely on the fact that Misha Collins exist. Many have also benefited from Misha’s woodworking/carpenter skills as well. He’s built Schools in Nicaragua, and he’s built homeless shelters in Bellingham, WA. It’s also affected Misha in a positive light as well. He’s used his position, and past experiences to connect to others. He’s shared his life story, and spread a very positive message around his fan base. This message effected many communities, from minorities, to the L.G.B.T+ community and to poverty stricken communities.
