5 Paragraph Persuasive Essay
Have you ever thought of the universe as fascinating? Well, I have, To start off, astronomy is one of the oldest sciences. It dates back to the ancient times. I also really enjoy the stars and planets. Space is one of the many sciences that have so many fascinating facts. Finally, it is a really broad topic. There are numerous different topics to choose from. You may only enjoy one part of astronomy, but not another. I just love learning about the universe as a whole.
Astronomy has been around for a long time. First, astronomy is one of the oldest sciences. It used to be considered part of astrology until astrology was considered non-scientific. Also, ancient Chinese would use astronomy to tell time. They would be able to figure what time of day it was by simply looking up at the sky. Lastly, the earliest recording of astronomy was found to be from about 1600 BC from Babylon. These written observations were those of the position of the planets and timings of eclipses. Surely, astronomy has a very rich history.

First, If Saturn were to be put in water, it would be able to float. Saturn is mostly made up of gas which is lighter than water hence, it can float. Second, There is no changing of seasons on Venus. This is due to the axial tilt causing there to be almost no difference between the seasons. Lastly, The sun is so strong, if you were to stand 145 kilometers away from it, you could burn in a matter of seconds. This shows how strong the sun really is. I just find the facts about the night sky so
Knowing the impermanence of the Earth, do humans have a moral obligation to find and
What is astronomy? Astronomy consist of a lot of things that make up our solar system such as: the nine planets, asteroids, meteorites, the moon and the sun. Astronomy is also a fascinating hobby that can be followed by anyone. You do not need to be, as some people seem to imagine, ‘mathematically-minded’ , in order to start, or even to become a very experienced observer. Yet astronomy is one of the few hobbies where not only can you gain great enjoyment, but if you feel want to can very easily make observations of great scientific value.
In order to understand the differences between the renaissance and ancient astronomy, many factors need to be taken into account, the cultural and intellectual freedoms of the time. In ancient time, astronomy was very unpredictable and often inaccurate. This was due to the fact that many astronomers set out to use their observations and calculations to prove or enforce Aristotelian ideas. Ptolemy for instance, was a very im...
From Ancient Egypt ,astronomy and astrology play an inextricable part. Everything seems to have something to do with the stars, or at the very least have a close relation that is. The people who made it had the most extraordinary knowledge of the stars and the behavior o...
People have looked to the stars for information since the beginning of time. There is no way to look up on a clear night and not see the stars. Ancient astronomers recorded the positions of planets and stars. The Babylonian’s handed down this data to the Greeks. This information about the constellation system is still in use today. Stars have been used to predict the future, preserve stories of legends and myths, navigation across oceans, and mapping the constellations.
Option #2: NASA spends money on both manned space flight (like the Space Shuttle) and unmanned robotic probes. Now that the Shuttle fleet has been retired, should NASA develop new rockets to send people back to the moon? Should we send people to Mars? Should NASA focus on unmanned missions instead? Is money spent on space exploration beneficial to society? State your opinion about the proposals currently being considered to send astronauts to the moon or to Mars.
Astronomy for me is like a drug. An addiction that after you start, will never be cured, or in my case, never become futile. This addiction was caused by something seemingly silly: a telescope. When some people get addicted to games on their phone or to buying cars, their phone or car become the most important physical item they own. Since I would consider my addiction astronomy, my telescope is my vehicle of addiction and also the most important item I have ever bought.
Astronomy is a word derived from Greek; it comes from the merging of two words, the first being ‘star’ and the second being ‘law.’ Like the name suggests, astronomy is the study of stars, in addition to countless other aspects of space and the universe in general. Being such a broad subject, there are of course many different branches of astronomy. These include general astrophysics, theoretical astrophysics, astrobiology, physical cosmology, galactic astronomy… you get the idea. (wiki) There are a lot. But the overarching theme of them all is space, especially the physics of space. And wherever there is physics, there is math.
Climate change. The two letter word so feared by scientists, so ignored by the average human being. What is it that makes scientists fear this phrase so much? For the concept of “climate change” has been seen throughout the history of the earths existence. For centuries, our climate has fluctuated through increasing and decreasing amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxide and climatic cycles. So what is the big deal? The problem, and the reason why this concept instills fear directly into the core of scientists is the rate at which over the past 1,300 years atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have risen. This unnatural increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide, due to the immense amount of anthropogenic burning of oil and coal, affects the transfer
Outer Space is by far the hardest place for mankind to explore. Instead of having to only find out how to make our ships float better, we have to think about the lack of air and radiation from the sun. That is only a couple of issues that come up when you think of space travel. We have to think about all the technology we would have to improve to make more efficient parts. We also have to consider the health risks that come with being in a zero-g environment. Earth will not sustain us forever, eventually it will run out of metals and we will have to find another source. Why not start now before it’s too late?
Has the weather-man ever been correct? Most people often look to the weather-man for accurate predictions of the day 's weather. However, most of their predictions seem to be inaccurate by a slight margin, such as being off a few degrees or an unforeseen chance of rain. This is common in today 's era and an explanation for their lack of precision is due to Climate Change. Climate Change, or more commonly known as Global Warming, has become a dying issue most climate skeptics have ignored or set aside for future, except, this current era is the future they were waiting for. In the recent years, the Earth has been experiencing serious climatic alterations mostly caused as the result of human behavior on their environment which inevitably affects
Constellations have been around for over 3000 years. No one knows who invented them, however astronomers believe they originated with the Sumerians and Babylonians. A famous Greek scientist named Ptolemy published The Almagest, which included all Greek astronomical knowledge. There was a catalog of 1022 stars, which were arranged into the basic 48 constellations that formed the basis for our solar system.
Coming up with a good idea for a project is the hardest part of science fairs. You want to have one that will be educational, fun to carry out, and interesting enough to those who see the display. However, once you do arrive at the right idea, you'll be on your way. It's helpful to know what other people are doing though, whether you're in the fifth grade or Junior High. This can give you a nice jump start as you get ready for the fair. Of course, you might take an idea and add your own unique twist to it as well.
Our Solar System is a wonderful place, with its profuse planets big and small, giant icy wastelands and tiny volcanic planets. It is the only place known to have a planet to have a planet that supports life. The Sun, two asteroid belts, eight planets, and five dwarf planets make this place truly awesome.
Astronomy is derived from infancy of human culture--- ancient age. People pay more attention to observe sun, moon and star by positioning their location and making calendar in order to indicate direction, ensure time and season. In some point of view, astronomy is one of the most old subjects in Neurology. Sun, as one of the most vital origins that providing light and ultraviolet rays, is actually an very huge galaxy, its cycle was found by a amateur astronomer, Henry Schwab. In 2010, America SDO detector has foretasted the influence the movement of Sun to Earth. Moon is a solid satellite encircled Earth. The one is the closest celestial body and have a profound relationship with Earth, its age has already been 4.6 billion years.
