There are hundreds of festivals that take place all over the world. These festivals are music festivals, art festivals, culture festivals, etc. Each festival has its particular reason for celebration. One festival that stood out to me the most was Edinburgh’s Festival Fringe. Edinburgh’s Festival Fringe does not just celebrate one thing. Fringe celebrates culture, art, music, acting, dancing, and comedy. Interesting things that make Fringe special is the community involvement, performers from other parts of the world, turning negativity into something positive, and the way in which the money raised is used for Fringe’s future festivals.
Edinburgh’s Festival Fringe began as a small festival in 1947 and is now the biggest festival in the world.

Edinburgh wants to be able to welcome all of their community, whether they have the means or not. Different things that are involved in festival going can add up, such as transportation, food, and hotel stay. Expedia UK makes this possible for all attendees of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They launched an app to help attendees locate affordable places to stay including student dorms and hole in the wall hotels that are not necessarily promoted. The app also features affordable things to do and places to eat during the festival stay. This allows more community goers and outsiders to bring in more money to the town of Edinburgh (Normans Media Ltd. …show more content…
Fringe brings different people from different backgrounds, different races, and different cultures together to celebrate the arts. One community comes together to better the area by bringing in artistry of all different types. The community is made a better place by bringing in money from the festival. Fringe also gives the community something to look forward to every year and a reason to celebrate. Crime is lowered in the community because money needed is brought in to help the community succeed and people are kept out of the street and celebrating life and music. Fringe gives everyone something to look forward to whether they are disabled, Deaf, or etc. People laugh, cry, dance, sing, and come together just to experience one thing, the beauty of art and culture, each other’s

Increasing capacity, audience and access by becoming a gathering place for families, establishing connections to communities within the County, and an increased commitment to access while increasing earned income.
A religion is generally regarded as a set of values and beliefs by which people live their lives both practically and morally; through acknowledgement of some form of higher being or divine power. At the time of European settlement, the Aboriginal people (Australia’s first inhabitants) followed their own religious beliefs in spirits behind the forces of nature. During the 1800’s, European settlers brought their traditional religious values and churches to Australian shores. These included the Church of England (now Anglican), Methodist, Catholic, Presbyterian, Congregations, Lutheran and Baptist churches. Further migration influences contributed to the re-shaping of Australia’s religious affiliations over subsequent decades. The aftermath of World War II brought upon a significant increase in numbers of the Orthodox churches, the establishment of Reformed bodies, growth in the number of Catholics and the creation of ethnic parishes among many other denominations. But more recently, immigration from South-East Asia and the Middle East has enabled the growth of Buddhist and Muslim communities; also increasing the ethnic diversity of Christian denominations. In order to get an idea of different views 26 Australian’s were selected and surveyed; 10 males and 16 females, each placed in age brackets. The inequality in sexes may skew the data slightly, but the effect would be so minor that it is almost unrecognisable.
...an that everyone from this culture could actually experience love, peace, and community for three days. Despite the rain, lack of toiletries and toilets, and lack of food most of the youth at the festival stayed throughout the whole thing.
It goes on every year. Two million (and more) go to it each year. People go to it to see/meet their favorite people. Not just for bands. Bands, Interviewers, photographers, etc.
Many large concerts have occurred in the United States, but none have been as symbolic as the three-day music and art fest that touted the slogans of peace and love. This event was identified as such as a result of the peace movement and the emergence of the flower children. Woodstock Music Festival took place near Woodstock New York on August 15, 16, and 17, 1969, and became a symbol of the 1960s American counterculture.
...o the performer, as a creative artist, but it also helps to bond the group of collaborators to create a more dynamic and personal relationship, which is reflected in performance. Every single devised theatre company is different from one another because the works created by the company are unique to the performers and collaborators for the company. “Devised theatre offers the performer the chance to explore and express personal politics or beliefs in the formation and shaping of the piece.” (Alison Oddey 11). Devised theatre holds importance today because it gives an outlet to the performer to be able to express their political views which is relevant to the climate of the time. This type of theatre is often about more than performing pieces that are created by the group, there are often elements of current culture, whether they are political, social, or economic.

Scissors, Paper, Rock! For my first cultural event, I attended the University Performing Dancers rendition of “Scissors, Paper, Rock!”. This dance performance took place in University Hall here on campus. This performance is considered a cultural event because the game Rock, Paper, Scissors is an ancient game that many different cultures have claimed to invented.
For as long as humankind exists, theatre will always take on an important function within its cultures. Through theatre, a culture expresses itself, reflects its society, and displays its individuality. It invites people to experience other cultures.
Theatre can be described as a 'compact reflection on life. It is a powerful influence on the public' (Kezer, 1983). To create theatre that is 'a powerful influence on the public', would need the use of passionate combat to create the emotion that can be used to influence the audience. Using passionate combat to create this allows for Forum Theatre to influence the audience and stir emotions in them which will encourage members of the audience to feel connection to the issues that are being presented and will take part in the performance. The use of a platform to stage the passionate combat in Forum theatre allows for that combat to be the centre attention and highlight the importance of it to the audience.
