Marathon runners who prefer to be barefoot but cannot handle the extremely painful blisters that are caused by doing so. This is one genre that could be specifically marketed it towards, I would think that barefoot runners are a little unique.
Career Opportunities
Opportunities that may be available with Vibram’s product management or research department, in order to fix the problems with the shoes and try to make their statements about leg health true. Also, a marketing position is probably available finding a way to market the revamped product. Instead of marketing them for everyone, make them a specialty item molded to each individuals’ feet. If they support the individual toes, the arch of their foot and even the top part of their foot in order to ensure comfort and shock absorption.
In the mock press release create by “The Onion”, the new shoe insert Magnasoles are described as being set apart from all other shoe inserts by the pseudoscience that the sole imploys. The new soles are being marketed as having magical powers are curing peoples injuries and changing the ways that people are walking. The writers of the press release use falsified ethos and claims in order to show the public how gullible consumers are becoming.
The article that I will be summarizing is “Half of Teens Think They’re Addicted to Their Smartphones” written by Kelly Wallace. This article is about how teens are addicted to their smartphones and how it is becoming a problem. The text is stating facts about how many teens and adults use their smartphones. Teens depend on their phone greatly which can make it hard to get off of it. This does worry people. Teens also say they check their phone hourly, so they also feel that they need to respond to texts and social networking messages immediately. Teens are not the only ones that are addicted though. Even parents have trouble getting off the phone to enjoy life. If you have this trouble and feel like you want to get on
In this piece of writing techniques such as exaggeration of functionality is provided to make the audience more impressed by the product. Although the information is unrelated and obviously over exaggerated, it is used in correct context form. In line 13, this article satirizes emphasizes marketers put into their products to convince consumers, MagnaSoles promise to “actually soothes while it heals, restoring the foots natural bioflow” with this information given, consumers are more likely to buy the MagnaSoles shoe inserts. Also it implies a problem with human biomechanics by using sarcastic buzzwords such as bioflow; they create a counterfeit sense of professionalism. Exaggeration is a huge factor in marketing products “MagnaSoles is not just a shoe insert…it’s a total foot-rejuvenation system” (line 16-17) once something is departed, there is no motivation to bring it back to life, consumers love to know that a product will make them feel happy, energetic and healthy again instead of go...

The corporation should invest more money in research and innovation since this is what has helped them to make a product that rivals their competitors. At the same time, it is imperative for them to improve their machinery for cheap labor costs which will help the company increase its production allowing it to meet the demand in the market. By improving production leading to lower costs of making shoes, apparel, and equipment, Nike will achieve higher demand assuming a quality product is maintained in that process. They will stand a better chance of competing in the industry (Hill, 2009). The organization is already in a better position for meeting the demand, customer taste, and needs. The company should improve quality by focusing on developing lightweight products that are more durable compared to those offered by the competitors. Also, Nike can keep up their success by continuing to reinvent and improve their items and continue to meet the current demand by using new technology. It can also use the Internet to communicate with consumers (Hill, 2009). By developing new technology, Nike will allow the customers to suggest and design their shoes online. One of the first ideas presented in the book that I felt was one of the main ideas is the idea of copying the works of the people that you admire the most. Through the creation of who you are as an artist or as a person in general, the act of copying the people you aspire to be like the most is an important concept in this book. The book stresses the idea of creativity and the idea of how in creativity there lies no originality but stealing the ideas of others. He emphasizes the benefit of stealing ideas in order to develop your own art work and in turn creating your own voice as a person. In addition to the idea of copying, creation is a large topic in the book. For example, in the chapter "Write the Book You Want to Read" he mentions making things that you like to make and create the things that you want to see created. Whether this creation be a piece of music or art, he mentions that you should imagine what your favorite artists would make if they worked together and to create that yourself.
