• Write a summary of the article. This should be one to three paragraphs in length, depending on the length of the article. Include the purpose for the article, how research was conducted, the results, and other pertinent information from the article.
The article I selected concerns strategic human resource management in which it explains how the employees can be made to be valuable assets of the maritime companies. This can be done by carefully selecting the most equipped personnel during the recruitment stage and continuous development throughout employment especially in knowledge based organization (Blagovest, Hanzu - Pazara, R., & Nistor, C. 2010, P.13).
The article looks at the roles of human resource despite the development of technology and why human resources are important in ships. The article analyses the various functions as to why the human resource cannot be substituted by the technology in the maritime companies. It continues to elaborate the functions of human resource subsystems. In summary, the article concludes by commenting that the best way to move forward is to increase the development of the human resource by strategically planning for their growth in line with the technology growth (Blagovest et al, 2010). .

...ntation, integration and establishing evaluation norms” (Blagovest, Hanzu - Pazara, R., & Nistor, C. 2010, P.13). From this statement, it clearly states the requirements of all organizations. All organizations should clearly select and employ human resource who can well integrate with the organizational activities. Therefore, this article could as well go deeper into discussion the general factors to consider all around the organizations.

Throughout my essay I tried to not summarize the article and I feel like I was successful at not summarizing and instead analyzing.
Summary and Response was the first essay I wrote. I chose a pair of recent news articles to write about. To begin with I did not know how to extract the main idea from the whole
This is my reflection letter on the process of writing the analysis paper on ”Why Are There Still So Many Confederate Monument” written by Georgi Boorman. When I was writing my analysis paper it was kind of hard to do. It took me a minute to find a good thesis statement and claims to support my thesis. There were some hard and easy points to point out in the article. For some time now I was a sort of confused on how to do the four layer cake. First, explain my claim and reasons. Second, show evidence that supports my claim. Third, state whether if I agree or disagree with the article claim. Lastly, I needed to support my reasoning. For my first analysis paper, I would congratulate myself for doing a good job.
Major points are stated clearly and are well supported. Content and purpose of the writing are well developed.
Organizations’ other resources can be hired, retained and discarded at any time but human resources needs special treatment. It needs to be carefully hired, deserve an extra effort to retain it and requires training & development to upgrade and improve its capabilities. Other resources depreciate with the passage of time but when the human resource gains more and more experience, it becomes more beneficial for the organizations. These characteristics have brought human resources to be the central element for the success of an organization. (Mohammed, Bhatti, Jariko, and Zehri, 2013, pg. 129, para. 2)
