“I’m Going to Kill”
Aisha testified that she was aware of the note and that it was Adnan’s handwriting. The note was written months before her death.
The murder was not a murder of passion but a planned event.

“I’m really getting annoyed that this situation is going the way it is .
. . Your life is NOT going to end. You’ll move on and I’ll move on. But, apparently, you don’t respect my decision . . . I NEVER wanted to end this like this, so hostile and cold . . . Hate me if you will. But you should remember that I could never hate you.” Letter from Hae Min Lee to Adnan
Adnan said he didn’t care that they were broken up. This note did not provide him motive to kill her.
Than Adnan’s lack of communication is self incriminating Adnan did not try to communicate with Hae after she was murdered. They were in constant communication before her death.

The map included Leakin Park, where Hae’s body was found

This reason makes sense because Asia and even a friend of hers claim that they saw and even spoke to Adnan that day and at that time Hae was murdered. This part of the story is when Asia found out Adna was arrested so she wrote him a letter explaining what she remembered about seeing him that day and time. This is from the letter “Im not sure if you remember talking to me in the library january 13’th,but I remember”. This means Adnan is innocent because he was not murdering Hae at the time he was at the library. Therefore Adnan is innocent because Asia’s letters prove that he was at the library at the time Hae was
Episode 8 begins Koenig interviewing Stella Armstrong, a juror in Adnan’s case who voted to convict Adnan of the murder. Stella immediately remembered Jay and said that she believed him, because he admitted to helping in the crime, so she thought that he would have to go to jail too… but he didn’t. Armstrong seemed taken back by that, she really thought he was gonna end up in trouble too. Armstrong then goes on to summarize the case, saying that Gutierrez, Adnan’s defense attorney, was trying to say that Jay murdered Hae, and that he was trying to frame Adnan. She talks about how persistent and aggressive Gutierrez is when questioning Jay, and how Jay stays calm and patient, answering every question politely. Koenig and her assistant Julie realize that if they can talk to Jay face to face, they might be able to get the information that they
In Tim Seibles' poem, The Case, he reviews the problematic situations of how white people are naturally born with an unfair privilege. Throughout the poem, he goes into detail about how colored people become uncomfortable when they realize that their skin color is different. Not only does it affect them in an everyday aspect, but also in emotional ways as well. He starts off with stating how white people are beautiful and continues on with how people enjoy their presence. Then he transitions into how people of color actually feel when they encounter a white person. After, he ends with the accusation of the white people in today's world that are still racist and hateful towards people of color.
Family’s usually tend to force their kids in to the religion they follow and expect them to make no sin which leads to the hide and seek game between the parents and the kids. Adnan’s family were Muslims that migrated from pashuar, Pakistan. Where the smallest thing as a man and women that are not related cannot be having a conversation what so ever. Dating was not acceptable, it’s either marriage or single. Adnan was not allowed to date or have girl friends or be a normal American teenage but he did it anyways without his parent’s knowledge. The prosecutor at the time claimed that Adnan’s motive to strangle Hae is that he gave up his religion, put himself in a river of sin and dissed his parent’s by dating a girl but when Hae called it off he was left with nothing. He killed her out of not love but pride. Even though this is an understandable point, Adnan was never really a strict Muslim. He goes out clubbing, drink alcohol, have sex with different girls…pretty much everything a Muslim person should not be doing. Him dating Hae didn’t make him anymore sin that he usually make in a daily basis. He never felt like hae have taken him out of his religion road because he was never in one. He didn’t have a motive to kill Hae because they both moved on in to other people but kept a good friendship between them so all of a sudden he couldn’t have felt betrayed enough to kill her. The reasonable question here is why did Adnan tell the police officer in the first interview that he was expecting a ride from hae that day and later when interviewed again denied asking hae a ride because he have his own car and don’t have a reason to ask her for a ride knowing that she always picks up her little cousin from school right when she gets out of school. Why would he lie about that, and did he really ask her for a ride as Jay and some of Hae’s friends claimed or he did not. Even though this
Early in Horney's essay, she defines passion and discusses why it is rare. People do not feel safe putting all of their faith and trust in only one other person. Horney explains that self-preservation is part of human instinct, and people have a fear of losing themselves in their loved one.
The girl Alan loves, Diana, is probably in love herself. Alan assumes that Diana does not care about his feelings for her because she does not give him the time
By any measure, The Memoirs of Lady Hyegyong, known as Hanjungnok (Records written in silence), is a remarkable piece of Korean literature and an invaluable historical document, in which a Korean woman narrated an event that can be described as the ultimate male power rivalry surrounding a father-son conflict that culminates in her husband’s death. However, the Memoirs were much more than a political and historical murder mystery; writing this memoir was her way of seeking forgiveness. As Haboush pointed out in her informative Introduction, Lady Hyegyong experienced a conflict herself between the demands imposed by the roles that came with her marriage, each of which included both public and private aspects. We see that Lady Hyegyong justified her decision to live as choosing the most public of her duties, and she decided that for her and other members of her family must to be judged fairly, which required an accurate understanding of the her husband’s death. It was also important to understand that Lady Hyegyong had to endure the
Adnan said “ we have smoked a couple of times, “ but that really don't mean they are friends. In the podcast Koenig makes it seem like they have known each other for a long period of time, but in reality he was supposedly his acquaintance. Furthermore, Adnan smoking was actually violating his parents’ rules. His parents were strict they did not let him a have a relationship with no girl, but still had one. In the other hand, Adnan was smart keeping up with his grades. Adnan as a “responsible” teen would've gone to his track practice that day .If he wouldn’t go he needed to contact his coach. Although, people saw Adnan as a “ smart, and kind “ right away it got into my mind that Adnan should of been more responsible. Although some say he is a spoiled, and a overrated teen who might of just got mad and snapped in an instant and do his horrific
Rabia knows an amazing person, Adnan, could not commit murder. Rabia even tells Koenig “he was like the community’s golden child.” Everyone knew of Adnan’s greatness and him as someone to one day do something big. When Koenig interviews Rabia, Rabia describes Adnan’s greatness in detail with excitement: “He was an honor roll student, volunteer EMT. He was on the football team. He was a star runner on the track team. He was the homecoming king. He led prayers at the mosque. Everybody knew Adnan to be somebody who was going to do something really big.” Rabia exaggerated and Koenig clarifies point-by-point everything that Rabia exaggerated. For example, “Adnan was an EMT, but he didn't volunteer. He was paid for it.” Rabia said that Adnan was a volunteer EMT, and Koenig corrects it by saying Adnan was an EMT, but not a volunteer, he was paid for it. Obviously, Rabia’s personal agenda is to prove Adnan’s innocence. She admits this in the beginning of her podcast when she says: “I also happen to be someone who is connected to the case on a very deep and personal level. I’ve known Adnan since he was 13, and he is my younger brother’s best friend.
In Serial, there a few alibis which claim that Adnan acted suspiciously, showing that Adnan Syed acted suspiciously, showing that Adnan does not deserve a retrial. First, in episode six there was a few classmates that attended Adnan's school that herd Adnan had asked Hae for a car ride. This does not really feel significant. However, when looking at it again the motive can be Adnan asking Hae for a ride to kill her. A car ride looks normal until observed in depth. This puts Adnan on the spot making him look as he killed Hae. Secondly, in the same episode Nisha had gotten a phone call which talked about Adnan meeting up with Jay at the store. However according to Adnan he was at track practice. This track practice and Nisha’s call don’t match
Passion is energy toward a relationship, or in the words of “Understanding Human Sexuality,” “Passion is a motivational component of love” (Hyde, Delamater 282). Passion includes physical attraction, the drive for sexual expression and physiological arousal. This can be interpreted simply as a more romantic form of lust. Passion is where the distinction is made between romantic love and love of a parent, child or best friend. Something to be aware of, is that unfortunately passion is something that quickly fades, when in a long term relationship or a marriage. Therefore, it is important to actively engage one another and try to keep the passion
or "passion" and which overcame a person's self control to such an extent so as
Even though they both never see each other again after Browes last visit to Indonesia, they still contact each other and their friendship runs deeply in their heart. In 2003, Ping An had a liver failure and died on the same year. Before he breathed his last breath, he asked his children to call Browes. He said he had something to say to him before he died. That time, there were phones but international calls were expensive. Compared to nowadays currency, the price of international calls were about 300 thousands rupiah. He didn’t manage to talk with Browes until his last
Many would not think that suffering or suffering was the literal meaning of the word passion. However, for many of us, we think of the word passion as having a strong sense of emotion or connection to another person like love.
...e changed a lot since her therapy, but I'm sure you will do it and make her happy again.” he lit his cigarette on and offered me a cigarette. It was the first time that we two were smoking together but somehow it was refreshing. He told me the whole plan of Zico and how he found out about it. I controlled the anger in me but I really wanted to kill him at this moment. How could he? Such an egoist. “Yongguk. Show Mina, that you are loving her truly and that you will be always on her side.” Mr. Sung said and threw his cigarette away. He was about to go inside the building but stopped. “Work starts at 6o'clock tomorrow. Don't be late or you will be fired!” he said in a serious ton and went in.
