Subway, a destination to a tunnel where you would like to go and eat. A fresh, thoughtfully made, and ideal lunch that I could buy. Anytime when I crave for something, I always think of a ride to Subway as a gift. Subway, an American submarine sandwich restaurant that opened since 1965, whose original owner was Fred Deluca. A family friend suggested that he should open up a submarine sandwich restaurant. Nine years later, thirty-two shops were opened which lead to the name “Subway”, due to its successful restaurants around the world.
Every now and then, I would watch some television and the Subway ad would come out every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The ad would come out with appetizing sub-sandwiches, and describing the quality in the picture
This analysis paper will analyze one advertisement picture that was produced by the mega food chain known as McDonalds. The ad is exuberantly promoting three cheeseburgers that the fast food chain is attempting to sell. The three cheeseburgers on the advertisement are the more popular attractions of the fast food chain including the “Angus Deluxe Third pounder”, the “Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese”, and the most famous one of all, “The Big Mac”. These three cheeseburgers have been the baseline for the McDonalds fast food chain ever since the restaurant opened. The burgers are also known world wide, making this advertisement is just a way to get the public to come and buy there food.
For the first rhetoric article, I chose the McPick 2 McDonalds commercial. This commercial displays pathos with a catchy jingle playing throughout the ad, and how they repeat, “Let me get a McPick 2.” It displays ethos because McDonalds is a well known fast food chain that many people like, so people are normally going to believe what they say. It shows logos by explaining how the deal works, and how the food is delicious, or juicy, which makes you want to go eat some of the food. I think this commercial is very effective because they put a catchy jingle in your mind about juicy food. This makes you want to go eat at McDonalds.

Jarrett J. Krosoczka spoke at a Ted talk in July of 2014 about why lunch ladies are heroes. He is a children’s book author and he created the Lunch Lady graphic novel series in honor of his old lunch lady, Jeannie. From the series, he has been able to bring awareness towards the lunch ladies and how important they are. Every school has a lunch staff that feeds all of the students every day and they rarely get a thanks for all their work. Each time I drive on the freeway and see the advertising billboard for the “Chik-Fil-A” Restaurant, I smile. The billboard features cows in trying to convince a public to eat more chicken in many different ways. The billboard gets my attention due to its comical, but cleaver simplicity. This ad is one of the series of this restaurant advertising campaign. Most American public easily recognizes this campaign. This particular ad of three cows are holding a protest poster with hand written message saying to “EAT MOR CHIKIN” is clearly a promotion for the well known “Chik-Fil A” restaurant serving mostly chicken meals.

There comes a time in someone’s life when they must get a job to support themselves or their family. For those who don’t have a college degree, a minimum wage job is the way to go. A federal minimum wage is the lowest hourly, daily or monthly compensation that employers may legally pay to workers. However if minimum wage is so low that someone can barely make an income, to support themselves or a family. Minimum wage is based on federal decisions. Some states minimum wage is more than the next. For example Florida’s is $7. 79 while Connecticut’s is $8.25 per hour. Georgia has the lowest minimum wage which is $5.15. The federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. Minimum wage should be increased because poverty will be reduced, it will be good for economic recovery, and provide more for families. However minimum wage raises are opposed by those who believe it will create more unemployment.

There should be no returns as this greatly hinders the total productivity. There are minor tweaks that the management can make, but subway seems to have it down to a science. What it comes down to is the philosophy of which techniques to follow to help build the business. Over the past five years, Subway has had a consistent growth of revenue of about 2.3% a year. With the increase of raw material prices, and petroleum prices, costs have risen about 5-20%. As times get difficult with consumers, subway decided to absorb much of the increase in costs, and pass minimal hikes to the customers. Although they may be increasing in revenue, their profits are leveled off due to higher costs.
Subway effectively competes with burger chains and others that are in the fast-casual segment of the market. Including healthier meals into its menu and giving much attention to obesity and diabetes have supported consumers' choice for Subway (Tarantino, 2005).
