Animal farm should be regarded to many us a guide, which shows us why certain types of governments come to power and how the people at the bottom continue to stay there. The Relevance of Animal Farm has been banned by many communist countries so they can continue to rule. They don't want the people with this knowledge that could ruin them. Some people with the right mind to figure out the relevance of the book. It's that people with power can get overboard with it and just let it corrupt them. Look at North Korea, which it's Kim dynasty has been going on for years and the people suffer, but they believe in a government that doesn't necessarily care, their government holds the power of everyone. Which is wrong first because communism is where everyone shares power and the power should be able to raise and maintain themselves financially.

Napoleon strategy of putting the blame on snowball and making the farm animals work harder, so now one notices him become a worse leader than Mr.Jones. When you genuinely hate someone or some country for over 65 years you would think they would be over it. Not North Korea, which still blame the United states for splinting up the country into North and South Korea. This two countries are different, South likes the U.S. and the North Korea utterly hates the United states. "Officially, it’s called 'Struggle Against U.S. Imperialism Month' and — more so than usual — it’s a time for North Koreans to swarm to war museums, mobilize for gatherings denouncing the evils of the United States and join in a general, nationwide whipping up of anti-American sentiment." New York Post writes. One month dedicated for them to show their hate for the U.S. this includes speeches as well. Over 65 years ago and they have not yet at least gotten over splinting up the
Why do people ban books? They limit freedoms and hints at the fact that adults don’t trust kids and/or teenagers to make decisions on their own. Do you want to be one of the schools that do this? Animal Farm is a very good book and definitely adds an interest of that time period. Animal Farm is also a good discussion topic. I feel as though taking that away would hurt classroom discussions in language arts as well as social studies.
As a military general, Hannibal Barca’s tactics for combating his enemies, the Romans during the second Punic War were some of the most significant events in military history (Gabriel). Hannibal’s hatred for the Romans, coupled with Scipio’s unwavering loyalty to Rome were the main reasons for the antagonism between the two rivals. This paper will outline Hannibal Barca’s tactical abilities and leadership and how the Carthaginians ultimately ended up succumbing to the Romans. Hannibal was the commander of the Carthaginians while Scipio headed the Roman military. Hannibal was an exemplary military commander and is regarded as one of the most intelligent in the history of the Carthaginian military. “Barca” was a nickname earned by Hamilcar Barca, Hannibal’s father, which was passed down to Hannibal and meant “lightning” (Gabriel). Scipio was also an outstanding military commander with impressive skills gained from a long term he served in the military. He had won many battles that were very critical to the Romans. During his tenure, his advancement in, and leadership of the Roman military forced the Carthaginian military, as well as Hannibal, to surrender (Render).
Because Animal Farm was written, it opened the eyes of the Western world to finally realize the danger of communism. Soon a Cold War began between the world’s greatest superpowers— the Soviet Union and the United States. In the end, America would prove that capitalism and democracy could outlive a system of government-mandated equality.
...ect to read for fun. I think George Orwell purposely does this to make sure the reader grasps onto the message of Animal Farm. In my opinion this book is really important for society to read because maybe some how they can relate. For example I was able to relate to Clover because she was too scared to say anything to Napoleon and sometime I am too shy. However reading this book help me recognize the importance of having your say. Thus, this another great reason to read this book because of the simplicity and how you can make connections.
Sadly according to the Humane Society International (HSI) article About Animal Testing “in the United states alone around 26 million animals are tested each year for medical and commercial research” (HSI) even though animal testing is not required to ensure that the cosmetic being sold are safe. From those 26 million animals being tested most are not protected by the federal Animal Welfare Act. The animal welfare act does not include birds, rats and mice bred for research, and it doesn’t include cold-blooded animals. Animals testing should be banned because the animals tested suffer immensely, also animal tested is unethical, and because there are many alternatives.
The book is a serious satire, although it has been confused as a children's book in the past. Animal Farm is an allegory, and uses animals to express the author's opinions. This is done for many reasons; animals already have values and attitudes placed on them by the general public. These values and attitudes are effectively utilized by Orwell to build the characters in his story, as the audience will have preconceptions as to what the character will be like, judged on what type of animal they are. For example, pigs already have negative values placed on them for being dirty and deceitful, and these are some of the values the author wants us to put on the characters.
Animal Farm is an allegory of the period in Russian history between 1917 and 1944. It is a satirical story written in the form of an animal fable. In writing Animal Farm as a fable, George Orwell is able to present his subject in simple symbolic terms by treating the development of communism as a story that is taking place on a single farm with talking animals. The characters of Animal Farm represent figures in Russian history during the Russian Revolution. Places, objects, and events of the Russian Revolution are also symbolized in Animal Farm.
The practice of using animals for testing has been a controversial issue over the past thirty years. Animal testing is a morally debated practice. The question is whether animal testing is morally right or wrong. This paper will present both sides of this issue as well as my own opinion.
...ale Animal Farm proves to be a symbolic and understanding book. In its pages we can see the contrast between a supposedly communistic state where everyone is equal and the same, and how in the end it only leads to a total dictatorial establishment of totalitarianism, where everything is controlled by an elite group. Though Animal Farm was established with the idea of every animal being equal, in the end, the voice of the scheming pigs was the only one heard. Secondly, the book powerfully symbolizes key figures that have appeared in history. It shows how Karl Marx affected the Communism movement in the character Old Major, and also displays the kind of government that lights the fuse for a revolution in the tempered Farmer Jones. Though dark and menacing, Animal Farm paints a very brutal yet truthful view of the dangers when a society moves to the ideas of communism.
“Approximately 10 billion land animals are raised and killed for meat, eggs, and milk each year. Of those 10 billion animals, about 35 million cattle are raised for beef, 9 million for milk, and 1 million for veal. Approximately 95% (9.5 billion) of the animals in food production are birds.” (Hessler and Balaban) We, as a society, often go about our lives blind to the means in which these animals are brought to our tables. Very few people think about the places that these animals have to live their lives up until they are taken to a slaughter house, or die of other causes, and brought to our markets.
Fables are meant to have a moral, and the moral of Animal Farm is that all revolutions fail in the end. Orwell could have written a long essay expressing such ideas but it is doubtful that many people would now be reading it. The success of Animal Farm is that it tells the sad tale of a group of creatures we care about, and how their hopes and dreams were dashed. Beyond the surface story, however, is the message that for ordinary people revolutions simply change one set of rulers for another. It is a depressing message but people are prepared to listen to it because it is told in a simple and entertaining way like all the best fables.
Animal Farm, a novel by George Orwell, was a story of courage and corrupt government. It was set on a farm in England. This setting is very important to the story itself and the characters in it. It made the plot a lot more interesting and influenced all the characters.
Every year, thousands of animals are tormented, and then die during the animal experiments. Another fact is from Vivisection Information Network, there is a rough estimate from the European Union that 10.5 million vertebrate animals were used in animal experiments, which is 28,800 per day or one every three seconds. Around 18.5 million animals were used in the USA per year (Updated). Also, there are still a large amount of animals that have not been registered. Even though there are disadvantages and disagreement in using of animal experiment, there is also some evidences show that animal experiment is inevitable for the future progress, and the human beings would not have greater life quality without animal testing.
For many years there has been controversy whether or not animals should be tested on between scientists and animal right supporters. It is very debatable if animals should be tested on when a cure for a disease could be found from testing on animals. From my own personal view I have a huge heart for animals, but if we can not find other alternatives, and is possible we can find cures for diseases, then animals may be used for research, but only for medical reasons.
For many years now, animals have been used for testing and experimentation. Many organizations like PETA and the ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) strongly oppose the topic of animals being experimented on. Many people are against animal testing as a whole because not only does it harm animals, but many times they may be killed. There have been many countless years and protests against testing, and they deserved to be heard and listened to. People have begun to realize that not only does animal testing harm and kill animals every year; it has been pretty much useless.
