Protecting America’s border What more should America do to protect our Country? Well, that’s a tough question, but I got the answer. There’s a couple of topics we need to get on before I tell you though. Mexico! Mexico is becoming a big part in American lives because all these Hispanic people are coming to our Country illegally and that’s a gigantic problem. I believe we should let them in, not illegally though. I think if have Mexico as a Commonwealth State for America it would stop a lot of problems. Hispanics would have to pay taxes and all of that. The only problem with that is Mexico has a tremendous drug cartel but I believe our government wouldn’t deal with that so we will stop that real quick. So, instead of protecting our borders from Mexico, we should let them in. Now on to a bigger topic, …show more content…
Isis. Isis is a horrible terrorist group that hates christians and every other religion but their own. They keep finding their way into America and causing horrible tragedies and many peoples lives are gone because of these tragedies. Terrorist are an awful thing and that’s why we need to protect these borders to keep America safe. How do they keep getting in?
Well, some are Americans that just turn to Isis soldiers and some are coming with the Syrian refugees. So we really can’t stop them from being here. We can have better background checks and better security with the syrian refugees but truly the only thing we can do is stop them. I believe we need to wipe Isis and Al Qaeda out. We need to send foot soldiers in and just demolish everything of theirs and show them we're not afraid. They want America to be scared but let’s show them were not. The last topic i’m going to talk to you about is Anchor baby’s. An anchor baby is a child born in the United States to non-citizen parents. The Anchor baby could later facilitate immigration for family members who wouldn’t be legal for permanent stay in America. So, we have to keep these anchor baby’s out. How do we do that? Well, maybe we don’t. Were the greatest country in the world, all those people just want in it. I didn’t know that people wanting to come here and live was a problem nowadays. If Americans do want something done with it then change the law. Say no other family members could come over to America and stay just cause they got a kid
here. There’s many idea’s of ways to help protect the border of America. Donald Trump wants to put up a wall, I think that’s absolutely extreme and not the best idea but it’s still an idea. Coming up with ways to protect the borders is hard because there are many options but you never know what’s the best until you try them. Everything I said above I feel is the best, but I could be wrong. There are my idea’s, I feel very strong about them, and I hope you and America like them. Thanks for taking your time to read this. Sincerely, Stephen F. Gazzo
by Humera Gul After the 2016 presidential election, the United States of America has been welcomed with multiple new policies and ideas. Recently, President Donald Trump decided to close the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This has been in the news a lot and there are many different opinions from both parties. Around 800,000 immigrants came to the United States as children to live their lives and work here legally. Now the question is, what is the DACA program?
At the start of September, Donald Trump terminated a program and in turn put fear into the hearts of nearly 800,000 people and their friends and family. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, was a program that was made to replace the DREAM Act (a policy that was not approved by Congress which would have created a path towards citizenship for “illegal” immigrants that came to the United States as children). DACA was put into effect in 2012 by former President Barack Obama through an executive order. This policy protects immigrants who, as children, were either illegally brought to the United States or were brought legally but then stayed past their visas’ expiration dates. DACA provides this specific group of immigrants with protection from deportation, a social security number, and a work permit; however, it is not a way of gaining legal status. Not only are the qualifications for eligibility specific and limiting, but the application process itself is expensive, extensive, long, and it has to be done every two years.
That is why the people believe that having Hispanics in the united states and they are sending all the Hispanics that don 't have legal papers to be in the U.S. they are reporting back to their country .But research has shown that the Hispanics community that come to the united states they are helping the economy to grow more .Some of the people believed that the president of the united states should help out the immigrants by giving
...verify their employees are eligible to work in the U.S. legally. Immigrants have said they are going to be proactive in these programs and acts but there hasn’t been much movement as of now. Immigrants came here for the same reason that families have always come here and that is the American dream. Immigration started in the 1840s and will most likely never stop, but our county need to take more action in controlling it. United States citizens like to believe that people should have the chance to better themselves. That is why people come to the United States to make things better for themselves. Immigrants come here to have freedom of religion, to be able to have a proper education and to have better paying jobs. At this point these immigrants are hurting out economy and it needs to be addressed by passing these acts or government creating more acts to control it.
However, others may disagree, but in addition to lacking nce their arguments are also insignificant. Although there is a controversy on this matter, America should welcome immigrants that are already here. Immigrants may earn legal status as well as cost just as much or less than deportation. But, so what? Why is this notable? Well, here’s why, the future is on the line and we have to take charge. If leading undocumented immigrants to a path to citizenship, includes all of the previously mentioned advantages, there is no point to do otherwise. If we don’t go through with this, imagine the troublesome possibilities, imagine the costs, imagine the risks. It is necessary to lead undocumented immigrants to a path to citizenship, and your help is needed. In the words of Ronald Regan “A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.” Many feel that illegal immigration is a growing concern for our nation, and securing our borders is most so that we can protect our homeland and preserving our freedom. They say these Illegals take jobs and deny opportunities for American citizens who have made worked hard to gain citizenship in a legal way.
As Americans, we like to believe that the U.S. is the greatest country in the world. There is more freedom, protection, and benefits that are ideal for someone who is looking to improve their life. However, our country is not perfect and there is one issue that has become quite controversial over the last few years: immigration. More specifically, immigration into Texas. The concept of immigration should not be looked upon as a problem. Our country was founded on immigration so it is not something that we aren’t familiar with. It is when people cross into the U.S. illegally that is the problem and one that should not be taken lightly.
There are currently 11.7 million immigrants living in the U.S. The United States is now again being named the land of immigrants. The new century has been introduced to the illegal immigrant. They are desperate to get into the American culture and are forced to disobey the laws of government to assimilate themselves in America. People come over because they have family, jobs or want a better life. This may cause some problems for Americans. Certain Americans believe immigration will cause the economy to drop, drop to wages, and job loss due to cheap labor, etc. But no one has thought of a solution for immigration that will work effectively.
Everyday over 11 million people battle with the fact that they can’t be legal in America. Hiding in the shadows, petrified of what might happen to them if they are caught trying to help their kids and families be successful in a safe home. Millions of undocumented immigrants are denied a “path to citizenship” due to immigration laws. These laws need to be altered and should allow these hurting families a chance to be legal. If these immigrants get deported, the United States is losing vital resources, they will fear losing their families, and since they are trying to get right by law, why not give them a chance? Furthermore undocumented immigrants are worthy to fight for, and this is why.
Undocumented immigrants are mostly in every country, the U.S maintains a high status of illegal or undocumented workers. Every country seems to think there is a problem and are trying to cut the number of undocumented immigrants or illegal workers. We seem to think, why is this happening? Are undocumented workers ruining the economy or supporting it, are they stealing jobs from Americans or just taking unappealing jobs? Undocumented workers are moving to the United States, seeking a better life and opportunities for themselves and their families. They live in a country where their unable to find work and eventually struggle. Some feel that undocumented/illegal immigrants shouldn’t be a major concern. They support this opinion by denying the major problems that result from the arrival of illegal immigrants into our country.
A topic crucial to the world today is illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is when people live in a country without permission from the government, nor have any legal documentation. As more and more illegal immigrants enter the United States, it either upsets some people, or others feel like they should just grant them ability to pursue life, liberty, and happiness because that is what the Constitution says. Some people feel that illegal immigrants should be protected by the same rights and laws as American citizens. On the other hand, many people believe that this is a horrible mistake. They feel that the rights of citizenship should be earned and not extended to people who haven broken the law just by being in the United States.
America is one of the most diverse country who has almost every single race in the world. Even though they came from varieties of backgrounds, ethnicities, and races, they can work and help together as one as they live in the same country, America. However, as the time goes by, there is more and more people who come to the United States with the intention of becoming an American citizen. A lot of people came to the Unites States have a holiday here, yet as the limited time goes by, they did not go back to their country because they still want to live in the United States. As a result, nowadays, there are a lot of illegal immigrant who do not have a legal permit to stay in the United States. They are being treated the same as an American citizen, however, they do not do the same to the country. Moreover, they do not have to be responsible for America as they do not have to pay tax, yet they can make a living by working illegally without paying
Immigration has played a major role in the economy of the United States, creating both deficits and surpluses in the U.S. economy. Arguments have been made that immigration brings more negative effects to the United States economy than it does positive, whereas on the other hand, people claim that immigrants have taken a major weight of the economy of the U.S. and has even allowed the economy to make significant growths. Considering the fact that the total accountable population of the U.S. is said to be made up of approximately 13% of immigrants, many arguments have been made for and against the entrance of immigrants into the United States. Immigration has effects upon the work force, the living conditions, the poverty rates, and other contributing
While immigration for our country is good the ability to become a legal citizen has become insanely hard therefore leading immigrants to illegally cross our border, which negatively impacts our country.
What changes are there to make to this country’s flawed immigration policy to fix it? Immigration control is a growing problem in the United States. Illegal immigrants are coming into this country and taking advantage of Americans’ jobs without becoming a citizen first. The U.S. needs to reinforce its border security and implement a new guest worker program. If the government does not do this America could become overpopulated and the amount of jobs would decrease even more. On the other hand, telling the immigrants to leave, instead of trying to work with them, could make America seem hateful and unwelcoming to new people entering the country. The government does not want to come off as unwelcoming so that they can keep up their reputation around the world. The current laws and policies regarding the immigration policy are extremely flawed and need to be changed.
