USING THE ROSTERS FROM HUDL.COM
Last night at Welcome Stadium in Dayton,Ponitz Career Tech hosted Dayton Christian in a game that ruled by defense, from start to finish.
Just a 1:59 into the game the Warriors took advantage of Ponitz Career Tech not having a safety deep, by getting a 14-yard completion from Shawn VanNoy to a wide opened JT Thornhill. Most of those setting near me all thought that the Warriors would take full advantage of a defense with no safety, but for what ever reason, the play caller for Dayton Christian opted to take a tougher road, to get to where they wanted to go. At the 9:04 mark of the opening quarter VanNoy threw a little swing pass to Seth Griswold, on 4th and seven,

The quarter ended with the Warriors leading 7-0.
With 5:45 left in the half Yonker would recover a Golden Panthers fumble off of a bad handoff from the QB to his RB.
The Warriors offense could not take advantage of the gift and had to punt the ball away.
The Golden Panthers would get on the scoreboard when, #12 Higgins Jr. hooked up with Dayon Pitts on a 21-yard pass. A two point conversion run failed leaving this a 7-6 game, with the Warriors leading.
The Warriors would get a fine run from VanNoy,that netted 21-yards, on a 3rd and 10 situation, with 1:56 left in the half.
VanNoy hit Thornhill on a slant that picked up 18-yards, with 1:17 left. The drive ended with a missed field goal by #7(Not on either roster) as the half came to an end.
Joe Herman would get Craig Poythress for a one-yard loss as the Golden Panthers continue to try and run up the gut of the defense that had as many as ten in the box at times. The drive came to a close soon after as the defense refused to give an inch.
The Golden Panthers fumble a punt with 8:37 left in the third and the Warriors came up with the
Next, more uproar erupted in the 1998 playoffs when an official missed wide receiver Jerry Rice's fumble, which would have ended what turned into the 49ers' game-winning drive against the Packers. Rick Reilly declares:
went out for wide receiver and landed on the football after a catch and lost his breath. He
...d actually passed it and stole it mid-flight. He was all alone, everyone behind him, clear path to the basket. He finger rolled it out of his hands and into the hoop. Tie game with ten seconds left. LeBron James slowly dribbled up the court as the clock clicked down. He hesitated and then quickly drove by Kevin Durant. Past half court now with three seconds left. LeBron knew he only had time to hoist up a deep prayer from way outside. As he stopped, Kevin was charging from behind as he released the deep bomb. Kevin slapped the ball from behind and the buzzer sounded. They were heading to another overtime. This game was no longer a five on five matchup. It was one on one. LeBron James vs Kevin Durant. LeBron James and Kevin Durant will always be heavily compared and contrasted, long after their days in the league and while the game of basketball continues to evolve.

was snapped. This really screwed up the defenders and it worked a lot for ND.
There have been many historical moments with the University of Dayton Flyers Men’s Basketball team, but Mark Weaver recalls of the one that meant most to him. It took place on March 24, 1967, in Louisville’s Freedom Hall for the Final Four of the NCAA (National College Athletic Association) tournament against the highly favored North Carolina Tar Heels (Collett 228). This was the third straight NCAA tournament appearance for the Flyers, but their first ever Final Four (Collett 228). It turned out that the Flyers smashed North Carolina, seventy-six to sixty-two. Don May hit a record thirteen straight field goals and scored thirty-four points (Collett 228). Mark Weaver, a lifetime fan said, “I remember that game like it was yesterday, it almost brings tears to my eyes. I have never seen UD party like we did the night of that game. I have been following Dayton basketball since the mid-1960s and I have yet to witness the team getting a greater win than the one over the Tar Heels.”

...a hook shot, cut the deficit to four points with three minutes remaining and Pryor's free throw chopped it to 48-45.
This game was scrappy right from tip-off. Chase Coleman hit a big 3 and from that moment on the game was underway. Everything from both teams was taking place inside the painted area, Green Run seemed to be winning the battle only because they were getting the calls to send them to the free throw line. Maury did not fall far behind as they were only down four points as the quarter ended with a score of 12-8,
So the question about the elusive road shutout remained and since Google didn't help, I grabbed a pen and paper and went over to Pro Football Reference for a little research. What I learned was pretty interesting.

...the last five minutes. We dribbled the ball down to the end of the field, faked out the defense and chipped a shot.
Rashim told Colin and Andrew that they needed to help him stand out this game. Colin said, “Rashim, we want you to go to the NBA as much you want to. We got you and we're gonna make you the MVP of this game.” Rashim knew that his friends would always be by his side to help him. The timeout was over and it was almost half-time. LaSalle was down by 8 and knew they needed to come back to stay in this game. Wissahickon missed a shot, and Andrew got the rebound and passed it to Rashim and he made a three pointer! With 4 seconds Colin got a steal and threw a bullet pass to Rashim, and he got the shot off with one second left, and he made it! The crowd was filled with excitement and cheering for Rashim. “I couldn't have gotten those points without your guys’ help,” he shouted excitedly. But the game wasn't over, and LaSalle was still
Down two with six seconds to go fatigue had taken it tolls on the players. With little energy left; over time was not an option. I knew I had to go for the win. I walk on the floor confident of my ability that was until the whistle blew quickly turning my confident to butterflies. As I fought to get open I quickly saw the ball coming my way. As I rose for a jump shot time itself began to stay still. An in flesh everything became silent. As I watch the ball leave my hand I envisioned greatness; sure the ball was on its way in I started to celebrate that was until I hear the announcer say my teammate tip in miss shot to win us the game. Mix with emotion I celebrate with my teammate. “Ok guys, we have 24 hours until tip off. Get some rest because this is going to be the biggest game of your life. Let’s bring this championship back to Barton College. Go Bulldogs and Goodnight!” Why few players stay in the lobby to hang out I took it talk upon to work on my game and reflect on the semifinal game that just took place. At basketball games you will notice how there are all sorts of fans attending the game.
