Just imagine one of your family members was a victim of a crime that made the attacker go on death row. How would you want the attacker to be executed? By hanging, firing squad, electric chair, or the by the more humane way; lethal injections? The controversy behind using lethal injections as a method of execution has different opinions; if the injections violates the Constitution, inhumane, and malpractice issues airse. The main problem with lethal injections is there needs to be a final decision on whether to allow lethal injections or ban them from being used. Lethal injections have been a controversial issue for centuries. Before lethal injections was even thought about; previous methods were used such as: hanging, gas chambers, electric It’s better than shooting someone in the head or killing them by sending shocks through their body. The solution to the current issue would be that the Supreme Court makes a final decision on making lethal injections legal to use for executions in every fifty states. This ongoing controversy needs a final decision. If a decision isn’t made that will cause even more controversy, prisoners on death row will stay in the cell longer; which would cost more money, and no one will know how to go about performing executions. No matter if a decision is made or not there will always be someone that isn’t happy with the way executions are carried out, just like the previous election. If left undecided and there is no solution, there will always be protesting, arguing, and confusion when deciding to execute or how to execute a prisoner. It’s not good for an issue to go unresolved for this long. It always seems like when lethal injections get brought up in the Supreme Court, the judges will talk about it for a little bit and then just push it off to the side again.
