Immigration is something that has been going on for decades. People immigrating to the United States are coming with the intentions of working for a better future. These people can come from Africa, Mexico, Europe, Afghanistan, Colombia, and many other countries all over the world. Instead of kicking these immigrants out of our country, we should give them the chance to prove themselves to the Americans that they are here to do better in life. Not by any means should we let just anyone come, but those who come looking for a better life and are willing to follow the rules should be given a chance. These immigrants do not take jobs from anyone. The jobs that they do, no citizen from here would do it with how much work they have to put into it and how little they get paid. In “When the Going Gets Tough: The Differential Impact of National Unemployment on the Perceived Threats of Immigration” by Henning Finseraas, Axel West Pedersen and Ann-Helén Bay they state, “While economic competition theory predicts that economic concerns will be sensitive to the state of the economy, it gives us no reason to expect that concerns over immigrants’ cultural role will be influenced by the level of unemployment.” (62) Here we see that these immigrants should not be their concern. It was filled with biologicals, and many matched up with my alien theory. One, in particular, looked like a giant weed. There were no sentient plant mutations among Empire’s citizenry.” (Martinez 181) In Mack’s statement, we see that when goes to the other planet, he sees how they change everyone there so that they can all be the same. What Mack Megaton is illustrating for us is very much true. Immigrants coming from other places have to change their whole lifestyle and get used to being someone else just so that they can fit in with the new country they are in. When immigrants want to be here legally, they have to pass a test for their citizenship just like Mack did. The test that these immigrants have to take is extremely difficult, probably one of the hardest test ever. The test they have to pass includes history form the Unites States, rules of the nation, and many other different subjects. Many of the United States citizens who have been born and raised here would most likely not be able to pass
