Healthcare for All Healthcare is an essential part of human life. Unfortunately, this is not something all people in our current system get to take part in. There are many arguments as to why all people should have healthcare, but I feel as if the strongest ones have to do with healthcare as a social justice. Healthcare as a social justice gives healthcare to everyone, especially the worst off of us, because it is the fundamentally right thing to do. No one chooses to have poor health and no way to fix it, so we as a society should help bridge the gap between the morally lucky and unlucky, for justice’s sake. Not all people are born with the same level of resources. Those who are born with good genes and a good environment and are young and healthy do not need the same level of resources to get the same overall opportunities; they are already at an advantage. This argument also stands on the belief that there are different types of health care that they are not all equal. The same drive that makes me want to give more to those with the short gene pool straw, could possibly drive people the other way. They may believe that they had no hand in their genes or health so they should get the same resources allocated to them as an unhealthy person out of fairness. To that I say, who are we to make the downtrodden more downtrodden? We can help ourselves, so why shouldn’t we give more resources to those who cannot? I truly believe that all people should be put on the same playing field. Those who are privileged won’t need to be given basic healthcare, because they will already have their needs
