Scientists have identified eight new exoplanets, including one described as perhaps the “most Earth-like alien world”. Far-away planets were spied by NASA’s Kepler telescope. It has now identified more than 1,000 exoplanets since launching in 2009. Of the eight newly confirmed planets, three are within the so-called “habitable zone” and could hold water. The most Earth-like, known as 438b, is only 12 percent larger than Earth and it is closer to our home planet’s temperature. If aliens (?) have the technology we imagine them to have then it is conceivable for aliens to genetically modify groups and isolate these groupings for further guided genetic diversification and development

He was also told that random tests were being conducted on the general populous to determine their compatibility. Captain White told the Sergeant aliens existed and went on to disclose more revealing information. The military figured that a certain percentage of these hybrid people would enlist in the military while others would remain in the civilian population. The military keeps tabs on these people. The sergeant, now in a state of utter disbelief asked, “compatibility”? Captain White went on to explain what the military called “genetic management”. The project involving genetic management was called “Project to Preserve Destiny”. Through this program Sergeant Sherman was told that he had an interesting ability given to him through this cultivation enabling him to communicate with the Greys. The captain told the sergeant that this unique ability was called “intuitive communications” (the ability to communicate through the intuitive manipulation of his mind). He also stated that there is a handful of people since this ability was perfected that have utilized this skill within the military establishment and he also said that there were many others throughout the general world populace that currently have this ability, but unless it is brought out by proper methods, it lays
Have you ever felt stuck? Wherever you are, it’s the absolute last place you want to be. In the book Into the Wild, Chris McCandless feels stuck just like the average everyday person may feel. Chris finds his escape plan to the situation and feels he will free himself by going off to the wild. I agree with the author that Chris McCandless wasn’t a crazy person, a sociopath, or an outcast because he got along with many people very well, but he did seem somewhat incompetent, even though he survived for quite some time.
There is a cultural assumption that there are many alien civilizations in the universe. However, what do we really know about extraterrestrial life? With recent findings of water on Mars and the discovery of Trappist-1, there could be hope for extraterrestrial life out in the universe. Even though the water on Mars is frozen under the polar ice caps and Trappist-1 could be far from finding any alien life, there are still many articles supporting the research and looking forward to finding additional news. In the article “Could the TRAPPSIT-1 worlds harbor alien life?’ written by Liz Fuller-Wright, she reports the announcement of astronomers that they found a miniature solar system of seven Earth-sized planets. Furthermore, the argument is effective towards bright individuals because it makes one think about what it will be if there was actually life outside of Earth.
Would you want to live on Mars? Some would say yes, others no, I am against going to Mars and think that we should stick to Earth and put our time, money, and energy into fixing this planet. I will show you all the reason why we can not go to that red planet.
Why We Should go to Mars “It was obvious to me that we could never colonize Mars without reusability, any more than America would have been colonized if they had to burn the ships after every trip,”(Dave, 2017). This is what Elon Musk said in an interview in Fortune Magazine on December 9th 2013. The fourth planet in our solar system, Mars, is the closest “Earth-like” planet, Which is why SpaceX, NASA, and many other organizations are trying to make a human trip to Mars possible, as well as learning many things about Mars and Earth at the same time. Mars has a lot of potential to be a habitable planet to continue the human race.
The film’s portrayal of specific events like Jackie Robinson not living with other whites in the hotel is related to the Myers. When the team has away games, Jackie Robinson is forced to live with a black family instead of the team hotel. This is relatable to the Myers. The Myers were not allowed to live in Levittown, but they still did it. As a result of that, the Myers faced many difficulties since blacks were not allowed to live in the same neighborhood as whites. The film shows that Jackie Robinson couldn’t live in a hotel with his teammates only because of the color of his skin. This was also a problem for the Myers, but the only difference was that the Myers showed a great fortitude by staying in Levittown. The text and the film depict

Intelligent life outside of Earth is one of the most debated topics in The United States of America. There are plenty of shows on television about it and supposedly there has been thousands of sightings all throughout America. Our government is thought of to have encountered and held extraterrestrials. Area 51 is where everyone theorizes that we hold and run tests on aliens, even though there is little evidence. There are also ancient stories told about “gods” coming down and doing inhuman things. In cave paintings you can find UFOs in the pictures, even back then they somehow knew of these flying objects. Most people do not want to recognize that our universe is so vast it would be more likely that there is intelligent life out there than there is not. It is possible that the general population is afraid to acknowledge Aliens’ existence because they cannot imagine a species being more advanced and smarter than us. Another reason people fail to recognize them is because the media has made these “creatures” very far fetched with
Competition Another great thing that comes with space exploration is competition. Competition is what makes the world discover all these new advancements in technology and keeps new ones coming. In the article, New Space Race, Patrick Marshall says, “Further complicating U.S. space strategy is China's rapid rise as the third major space power. China launched its first astronaut into space in 2003. Since then, it has landed a rover on the moon, placed its own space lab into orbit and boosted its space spending to an estimated $110 million in 2015.”
Stars are luminous spheres that have been around longer than humans. In fact, it has been said that, “We are a way for the universe to know itself. Some part of our being knows this is where we came from. We long to return. And we can, because the cosmos is also within us. We're made of star stuff.” [1] Just like any other animate object, stars also go through a life cycle. They grow up, live their life, and slowly but surely die out. Stars can live for billions and even trillions of years. The life span of a star depends on how fast or how slow they use up and burn their nuclear fuel. The size of the star also determines the longevity.
COntinuing from this point, the author includes a little bit more of what the sergeant is doing. In the beginning of this quote we see what Mr. White was doing, and then shortly after we get the feeling of what the sergeant is
Many people wish to visit the frozen dessert at the bottom of our world, also known as Antarctica. However, this may come to an end. People believe that the cause of Antarctica melting is because of tourists. However, there are many arguments against this. The Antarctic is beginning to melt mainly because of the ships that leave many tons of emissions of carbon dioxide behind.
A farmer picks a tomato that he was sponsored to grow and review; the tomato is larger and grew faster than his normal seeds. A senior citizen picks up a can of soybeans off of the shelf that claims to have 15% more nutrients than that of the same soybeans from when he was a kid. In labs all around the world, animals and crops are being genetically modified to grow faster, larger, tastier, and stay fresh longer. A genetically modified organism is an organism whose genome has been altered by the techniques of genetic engineering so that its DNA contains one or more genes than normal (Dictionary.com). What do these changes to the DNA of crops mean for the safety of the consumer? Any crop that is modified on the genetic level in such a way that
'Earth 2.0' Discovered In addition to the thousands of anecdotal accounts of extraterrestrial life, science today got a little more hopeful of finding life elsewhere. The discovery of exoplanet Kepler-452b has scientists describing it as "Earth 2.0." A press conference hosted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) took place simultaneously today in both California and Washington,
There are not that many inner planets, although, considering how many planets we have found it could be seen as a lot. Venus actually happens to be a very interesting inner planet. In my research on Venus I’ve learned many things about this hot inner planet.
Ever since the beginning of time there have been stars. Not only stars in the sky, but moons, planets, and even galaxies! Astronomy is defined as the branch of science that deals with celestial objects, space, and the physical universe as a whole. In other words it is the study of space, planets, and stars. Throughout the ages, many people have used astronomy to help them learn about the universe, our own planet, and even make predictions about life itself. Understanding astronomy means understanding where it originated, the different groups/cultures that used it, and modern purposes of the science of the stars.
