Electric cars are a controversial topic these days, however, this industry has been improving in an incredible way. In addition, electric cars are seen as a solution for air pollution and a tool to reduce the use of fuels and natural gases. Many people have agreed that these new cars are the solution for these problems. Furthermore, thousands of people have started to use these modern, economic, and non-toxic cars. Should electric cars be used and reproduced more and more to try to help our world from the air pollution and eliminate cars that use fuels? There are many reasons why electric cars are the best solution, and they could be an important tool for our future. One reason is that electric cars produce fewer greenhouse gases than a normal car and give us cleaner air. In big cities the principal issue is the smoke produced by cars that use fossil fuels; but how are fossil fuels related with air pollution? Easy, emissions are produced when fossil fuels are extracted from the …show more content…
While electric cars are re-using parts and not melting metals or expelling gases to the atmosphere, to build a normal car companies have to buy some metals already made with the shape that they need. For example, some cars in the past had their metallic bumpers or the base of the trunk made of metal too. However, other companies have had to melt those metals and while these processes are being performed many gases are going up to the atmosphere; causing more and more pollution. Another example is that many companies buy iron, lead, copper, etc.; in countries where the extraction regulations of these metals is weak or illegal. So, that is why electric cars are a good and intelligent solution to reduce air pollution, because the materials that they use are biodegradable at some point and can be replaceable and
An unfortunate factor with gas powered cars is the abundance of issues and the cost of fixing them that goes along with it. Gas powered cars tend to have more issues because of all the gas we are putting in it. Putting in a bad or low grade of gas eventually does some harmful wear and tear to the inside of the vehicles engine and other important parks. Also, its very easy to put the wrong thing inside of your gas-powered car trying to save money and it end up having more harmful effects. Electric cars don’t have the same issues as gas powered; therefore, you don’t have to take them in near as much and if you do the problems aren’t near as harmful or long lasting.
Car enthusiasts are constantly debating about what a good car consists of and what is best for the environment. Some people say that electric is the future because it saves money
I bet you didn 't know that the first cars made were all mostly electric. But as time passed gas powered cars became more popular through the years. There were few if any electric cars available as timed moved on. Everyone believed that gas powered vehicles were more convenient than the electric powered ones. I believe that gas powered vehicles are better because gas powered cars have more function ability. The range that electric vehicles have is poor compared to gas vehicles. Electric vehicles don 't function very well when the weather is cold. You 'll need to charge your car pretty much every night. You are only going to be able to go 80 mph. If you go up a big hill your range goes down. electric vehicles (rather ev 's) do pollute but they
Not spending money on gas for the rest of your life is a huge selling point for many people. The problem is that recharging your car takes so long that sometimes it is not even worth it. Electric cars are also very good for our environment. Electric cars can help the environment by not emitting harmful gases and hurt our atmosphere in any way.
My position on this paper is that electric cars are better and my opponents therefore take the position that the traditional gasoline cars are better for the society, because that´s what is currently being widely used. They give the reason that electric car´s benefits are not balanced with its negative aspects, and that we are overrating the benefits of electric cars. In response to their reason that gasoline cars are what’s been widely used until today, once fossil fuel and such resources runs out, we will be forced to make a switch to using alternative energy. Therefore, we should be proactive, and make the switch before we run out of gasoline, so we can be more prepared for the change. The opponents also argue that the environmental benefits aren’t very significant, but as time goes on, and all the consequences will build up and hit us hard if we don’t do something about it. Thus we should do every little thing to reduce our air pollution, and preserve the
Purchasing a car is one of the hugest or biggest accomplishments that a person can achieve on their own. However, what happens when that purchase turns out to also be the worst decision that was ever made? The purchase was a success and a goal was achieved, but the moment the key is turned and the engine is started the contribution to environmental harm begins. As the car is driven, the gasoline fumes that are released from the car contribute to the other many factors and pollutants that damage the environment. Not only is the purchase now a contributor to the depletion of clean air, but it could also play a part in the depletion of someone’s health. For example, asthma or bronchitis could develop in an adult or child as a direct result of breathing in noxious automotive fumes. Depending on where one lives, there could be strict regulations on air pollution. One must be accountable for any and all contributions made to the demise of what was once a healthy Earth. One must be accountable for his or her own carbon footprint. Some individuals have taken steps to reduce their carbon footprints and cause less harm to the environment by purchasing electric cars.
People use automobiles as their main transportation on the daily basis to get from point A to point B. They use them to go to work, school, or simply to do the weekly groceries in the city. As more people use cars, more CO2 emissions are released into the atmosphere, destroying it as well. Although many car companies started to make smaller engines, there are still a mass amount of cars that still produce excessive CO2 emissions. With time, the CO2 will cluster up and slowly destroy our environment, and our planet as well. This is why a solution needs to be projected towards this problem as quickly as possible.
Here we go again. Everyone says electric cars are better than gas. There is no proof that electric is better than gas. Gas cars will always be the main car on the road. Why do people think gas is so bad? Because people are saying fake things about gas. Meanwhile, a lot more people have gas cars rather than electric. This arguing has to stop, Electric cars will never be the main car in the future. People have their own opinions on electric and gas vehicles but gas is the way to go.

Imagine when you open your window, and all you hear is all the cars engines running and horns honking. No one wants to hear that. They want to hear the birds chirping, the wind blowing. Well, electric cars can solve that problem. First of all, they can come a lot cheaper with tax credits. Second of all, it has maintenance cost. And finally, they save our planet by causing less air pollution gasoline cars.
With an ever changing world it’s no wonder why our science-fiction beliefs are slowly becoming a reality. Over the year’s tremendous progress has been made in humanity but in my opinion one of the greatest breakthroughs is the electric car. Numerous of failed attempts have been made at the electric car but nearly a decade ago the first highway compatible all electric running car was released to the market. Since that day massive amount of improvement has been made to these cars in which their performance, sustainability, and reliability has seen a major jump. Today the electric car is more reasonable than ever, it a shame more people don’t realize the beauty of these machines!
The health effects of carbon dioxide are clear, so the question is, why haven't we switched to electric cars? From the documentary that we watched Monday, it seems that there are multiple factors that contribute to this. General Motors designed the EV1, and then slowly took it off the market. It vaguely explained this by showing how oil companies were trying to ban charging stations. Electric cars seem to be the obvious alternative to convert to, and yet we haven't yet. I think that hybrid vehicles are a viable option, as for completely electric vehicles, I'm still a skeptic.
Environmentally Friendly Electric vehicles are today’s zero-emission vehicles. They have no tailpipes and emit no pollutants. Instead of gasoline from oil refineries, electric vehicles get their “fuel” from electric power stations. Although power plants using fossil fuels do have emissions, power plant emissions generated for electric vehicle use are typically much lower than emissions from the comparable use of gasoline-powered cars. For power plants using renewable energy sources like wind, solar and hydropower, no air pollution is created.
Electric cars help lower emissions because they have completely clean motors. As time progresses, emission standards rise and will become harder to meet for automakers. Electric motors will always have zero emissions and auto makers won't have to spend extra money to make their engines cleaner and more fuel efficient. Originally, when the internal combustion engine was invented, pollution wasn't a problem. After hundreds of years and the many combustion engines created, all the exhaust has built up. Today, pollution is one of the largest problems in our environment. Every year the average miles driven rises for everyone. When this rises, the pollution rises as well. Toni Marzotto, in "The Evolution of Public Policy: and the Environment," explains how air pollution will continue to keep on increasing:
Electric cars are becoming increasingly more necessary, and have more advantages than disadvantages. Electric cars help to decrease the noise, pollution as they are much quieter. They do not emit any (or much less) carbon emission than petrol cars. Electric vehicles are the greenest mode of transport in the personal transportation industry. For each litre of fuel used in an engine produces more than 2.5kg of CO2. CO2 will be produced by an electric car but still a very little amount. It is also possible to use renewable power or a green energy supplier in the electric car. Thus it would lead to less polluted and safe working environment for all of us. However, safety is a big concern with using vehicles. The fluids in the batteries actually take impact better than a fully made gas car because it is not that flammable. Petrol cars and diesel cars are more flammable than electric cars so they are greater of taking impact in the event of an accident. I think that this is a very good reason because fewer people would get injured or hurt. This would save money because electricity is cheaper than gas and electric cars are easy to operate. Also is very ECO –friendly which mean that it is cheaper to run and have to pay very little road tax. In a pure electric vehicle there’s nothing combustible and have far fewer moving parts than you would find in a petrol or diesel car.
