Colony Collapse Disorder(CCD), is causing bees from all over the world to slowly become extinct, affecting everyone. CCD Is a disease spreading among bees that is decreasing the bee population. CCD is believed to be caused by many components. The loss of bees at this rate, from CCD, will cause many negative effects to our ecosystem and the daily comforts provided by bees. Protecting bees from this disease will help increase the bee population and improve the ecosystem. Honeybees must continue to be protected until Colony Collapse Disorder is no longer a concern. First of all, there are many reasons believed to be causing this sudden decline in thriving bees. Recent studies show that the biggest components of CCD are caused by parasites, pesticides, neonicotinoids, termites, and many more likewise related factors. For example, bees play a major role with crops and plants; bees pollinate the crops. Then the crops are turned into food, clothing, material, cotton, and new plastics. With all these bee’s disappearing, because of CCD, it is affecting the world negatively. If the bee population keeps decreasing at this degree, it will affect the whole overall food chain. One example of how it effects a food chain relates to livestock. Bees pollinate their food, and without bees there is a loss of livestock food.
