During childhood, children are told to dream big and to never let anything get in the way of their dreams. Children often dream about being a singer, actor/actress, dancer, etc. Some studies have proven that it is better for children to dream big rather than to live in reality. Bruno Mars was only six years old when he made his first national TV performance as the youngest Elvis Presley impersonator on the Arsenio Hall show, but for many more years, it was his only performance. When Mars was in his early twenty's he got an offer to do a song with Travie Mccoy and Mars agreed. The song " I wanna be a billionaire" was a major hit, after becoming famous Mars said in an interview "when I did the song I only had two dollars to my name". During
the interview, Mars also claimed that he almost gave up but he didn't, it only made him work harder to achieve his dream/goal. If Bruno Mars had given up and lived a simpler life rather than to dream big and achieve his dream where would he be today as an artist? Although living in reality may seem more practical dreaming big will challenge and push you to achieve your goal, it will benefit you in multiple ways in the long run. To accomplish goals and work harder you must dream big.
Randy Travis fans have been looking for updates on the country star, but there hasn't been a lot coming out lately. Now Randy's fans are finally hearing how he is doing after having a stroke three years ago. Taste of Country shared that Randy Travis went to a funeral on February 3 and the country singer actually performed while he was there as well. This is said to be Randy Travis' first public appearance since he had his stroke back in July of 2013. A lot of people thought that Randy might not make it and nobody really knew if he would ever perform again.
“All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” This quote from Walt Disney addressing the concept of achieving dreams is very accurate, and can be seen throughout literature today and in the past. Dreams can give people power or take away hope, and influence how people live their lives based upon whether they have the determination to attack their dreams or not; as seen through characters like the speaker in Harlem by Langston Hughes and Lena and Walter Younger in Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in The Sun.
Elvis Presley was a successful singer and his singing won him many awards in his lifetime. His talent and kindness also earned him millions of fans and he is one of the most important figures of the 20th century in popular culture. When he died, it was tragic for everyone who loved him and his talent for writing music. Even though there are reasons to believe that he is dead, I believe that Elvis Presley is still alive because there is evidence that proves it.
I have listened to country music since I was a little, as did my husband. For him, it's a reminder of a simpler time, helping his father farm, plowing fields into the night. For me, it's a reminiscence of sunning myself in my backyard over summer vacation. The twangy sounds of the guitars and the fiddles always seemed to make me feel at home. For me, country music is a way of life, therefore the reasons I will use in an attempt to persuade you that country music is better than other music include its deep history in America, the quality and content of the music and its relatability.
As a child, dreams of becoming something that often times are believed to be slightly out of reach, such as a pro athlete, or a rock star, or an actor are common. Adults tend to veer juveniles away from aspirations of pursuing these careers because the chance of success in one of those careers is quite
I think classic rock is the best because it is true classic music. It is what started all rock of today. Classic rock is better than most rock days because it sounded way better back when the classic rock bands were popular. Today the “classic rock” is not as good as it was. Bands like Nirvana, The Beach Boys, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Queen, Pink Floyd, etc, are the bands that started it all.
Michael was born on August 29, 1958. He was a best-selling American singer, songwriter, and dancer. As a child, Jackson became the lead singer of his family's popular Motown group, the Jackson 5. He went on to a solo career of astonishing worldwide success. He was very shy and quiet person off the stage, Jackson never was truly comfortable with how much attention he received by the media and rarely gave interviews. In
As he grew older, Bruno started to acknowledge his Hawaiian root and agreed that “growing up in Hawaii made me the man I am.” He also performed in the halftime show of the 1990 Aloha Bowl. Bruno attended President Theodore Roosevelt High School and was part of a group called The School Boys. After he graduated high school Mars decided to chase his dreams and
... like hedge funds, private equity, or even fine art and wine” (1). Being knowledgeable and making wise decisions can help with dreaming big. According to Jesse Owens, “we all have dreams”. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort” (1).
As an athlete, I had similar dreams of one day making it big. It is the dream of all young athletes to make it to the big times and make big money. At 19 years of age I was very sure I know what life is all about, no one can tell me anything different...

Before the big name came along, “Bruno Mars” was only Peter Gene Hernandez. The nickname ‘Bruno’ was given by his family when he was still a baby. His sister Jamie described him as “independent, really strong-willed, confident and brute”. Bruno has stuck since then. Mars was later adapted because the ladies believed he was “out of this world”, says Bruno Mars. He was introduced to music in his family’s musical business. At the age of four he began with impersonating artists like Elvis Presley in his family’s musical. He then became the star of the show and as he got older, he added Michael Jackson into his acts. Bruno Mars says that he knew what he wanted to be at the age of four. Did your “pop-star” idol know what he wanted to be at the age of
Bruno Mars is one of the influential names in pop and R&B music. His use of interesting vocals and unique music techniques makes his music enjoyable. Listening to Doo-Wops & Hooligans I found that his music was very upbeat and always directed to one specific individual. Bruno Mars himself uses his unique personality in every aspect of his music, his album holds messages within each song and this leads to my overall enjoyment of the album.
Perhaps the most enticing quality of Bruno Mars is that he is not all about getting famous. His songs are very realistic. He expresses his feelings through his songs and sings from the heart and personal experiences. As an artist it is very important to connect to your audience. Bruno’s music is so powerful that it can move one’s soul and where everybody joins in the revelry. If you listen to his music you’ll know what I mean.
Most people have dreams. Big ones or small ones. Even the most successful people had dreams and that is what has made them what they are today. Dreaming is essential for a human being. Without dreams, you will lose interest in life and finally hate to live life. You will be
