Bigfoot is one of the most well-known and controversial urban legends in the world (Pekinois). There are many different arguments to prove that Bigfoot does and does not exist. There are some unexplained phenomenons that may give hope to the possibility that Bigfoot is real but most evidence of Bigfoot can be proven to be something else and just because there is no explanation now that does not mean there never will be one.
Bigfoot is also called Sasquatch and Yeti; there is some controversy on if these are all the same or if they are different. Some people believe that these are the different names for the creature in different parts of the world. It is said that Bigfoot has been seen in every continent but Antarctica. The most recent recorded Bigfoot sighting was on September 9, 2015 in Bedford Virginia (BFRO). This wide range of time shows just how popular this particular urban legend is.
Bigfoot has been found to have some interesting “facts” about him. It is said Bigfoot can run up to 30 mph, cannot sneeze and does not like bananas. Many of these facts come from things people have discovered from captured Bigfoots There have been 69 recorded sightings (Bigfoot finder). In Africa there has been one, in Asia two, in Canada seven, in Europe two, in the United States fifty-five, and two with unspecified locations.
In conclusion, Bigfoot is known and has been “seen” all over the world. The controversy on his existence may never be solved. There is so much evidence to prove both his existence and the ladder. The choice is to decide which to believe until one can be proven fully true.
