Recommended: Writings on bigfoot
Bigfoot is one of the most well-known and controversial urban legends in the world (Pekinois). There are many different arguments to prove that Bigfoot does and does not exist. There are some unexplained phenomenons that may give hope to the possibility that Bigfoot is real but most evidence of Bigfoot can be proven to be something else and just because there is no explanation now that does not mean there never will be one.
Bigfoot is also called Sasquatch and Yeti; there is some controversy on if these are all the same or if they are different. Some people believe that these are the different names for the creature in different parts of the world. Those who do not believe they are all the same believe that in the Himalayas, it is the Yeti, in

Canada, it is the Sasquatch, and in northwest United States, it is Bigfoot. The Yeti alone has controversy on being a descendant of the polar bear. Bigfoot’s appearance is quite unique. “Bigfoot is described by believers as being between six and eight feet tall with a large forehead and pronounced brow, like a cave man’s, and a rounded, crested head like a gorilla’s. He is covered in brown or red hair and has enormous feet that are his namesake, with the biggest estimation at a whopping two feet long by eight inches wide,” (Today I found out). This description varies slightly depending on the person giving the description but still matches up for the most part. The story of Bigfoot arose in America in 1958 when a construction worker, Gerald Crew, found large footprints on the site he was working on. Later, after the death of Ray Wallace, it was revealed by Wallace’s family that he had created the footprints. The next major sighting of Bigfoot occurred in 1967 when Roger Patterson caught “Bigfoot” on film. Some people thought that it was a set up and was not an actual creature but Patterson opposed by saying the unique features of Bigfoot like the one he caught on camera would be almost impossible to recreate. There has been an abundance of “evidence” to prove Bigfoot’s existence. First and foremost being the number of sightings, people do not believe that there can be that many sightings and it be fake. Another reason people think it has to be real is because of the intricate details in the footprints that have been found. Though people have tried, nobody has been able to prove that the Patterson- Gimlin Film was either fake or real. Native tribes also have traditional stories that describe something very similar to what is now described as Bigfoot. Another thing people think to be proof are sound recordings of Bigfoot, they say these sounds are unlike any other animal. There may be many examples of why Bigfoot is real, but there are just as many, if not more, reasons why Bigfoot does not exist. A very logical reason for Bigfoot not being real is that there are no fossils of Bigfoot, every other animal in this world, or that previously were, have fossils to prove their existence, Bigfoot does not. There have also been no dead Bigfoot bodies or any droppings of DNA such as hair or excretion substances, all of these things must be inevitably dropped by a living creature at some point. It is also said that a sighting is not actual evidence because your eyes can deceive you and people could lie about what they have seen. Pictures such as the one below are also used as evidence. This picture and ones like these are what most “Bigfoot believers rely on,” (Discovery News). These pictures are not good evidence though because they are so dark and pixelated that you would not be able to tell what this is even if it were just a bear or another common animal. This picture could even just be seen as a normal human because there is no size comparison in the picture. The first story of Bigfoot was in 1884, since then there have been countless sightings all over the world of Bigfoot-like creatures (UnMuseum).
It is said that Bigfoot has been seen in every continent but Antarctica. The most recent recorded Bigfoot sighting was on September 9, 2015 in Bedford Virginia (BFRO). This wide range of time shows just how popular this particular urban legend is.
Bigfoot has been found to have some interesting “facts” about him. It is said Bigfoot can run up to 30 mph, cannot sneeze and does not like bananas. Many of these facts come from things people have discovered from captured Bigfoots There have been 69 recorded sightings (Bigfoot finder). In Africa there has been one, in Asia two, in Canada seven, in Europe two, in the United States fifty-five, and two with unspecified locations.
In conclusion, Bigfoot is known and has been “seen” all over the world. The controversy on his existence may never be solved. There is so much evidence to prove both his existence and the ladder. The choice is to decide which to believe until one can be proven fully true. Bigfoot is an extremely controversial urban legend that may not be a legend at all, nobody knows for sure, although they might think they
do.
The experience happens in the middle of the night in Orick, California when the encounter of Bigfoot took place, in the house of two men and their children. The house was surrounded by the forest, woods, and there were not many people around.
But wouldn't anybody be? There are several other weird things that just might be linked to the Loveland Frogman. Such as in the year 2000, there was a woman kidnapped , she went missing out of nowhere. She lived in Loveland, near Loveland Maderia Road, where the sightings were. She was last seen on Elm Road, which is just 8 minutes away. Could the loveland Frog have captured her? Is it really a possibility? And then on September 19,2016 officer Colin Metzner got a call and went to Kemper Ave. in Loveland Ohio. It was a call about a violent, noisy, vagrant. Officer Metzner didn't make it home that night, for he did not survive. He got footage from the cam on his police truck, and his vest camera, so he could investigate. He was brutally attacked by a creature that looked like a frog like human hybrid, and was killed. In the video there is tons of screaming from the officer, where he is yelling for help, and yelling in agony and pain. His body was later found with green handprints, bruises, slime, and many cuts like the water attack with Mrs. Johnson. It seems that they have something for police officers, saying that three police officers have witnessed the creature. There have been quite a few other sightings some with different details, such as the Loveland frog is more human sized rather than dwarf size. And some even said that it was a frog that was the size of a frog, yet walked onto feet, and had a man head and human man hands and feet that had wands, and there were a few who noted that they couldn't see the human features, they were just gigantic frogs that looked very terrifying. There have been tracks found before by the FBI and police, and paranormal hunters . And not only that, the DNA has been tested. It is not completely frog. There was about 56% frog-toad thing, but 44% unknown party. That unknown party could be human, or alien, or anything else
Good literary text can communicate messages more powerfully than good informative text. 2 different texts, Moon Bear Rescue by Kim Dale, and the brochure Southern Asian Moon Bears, are chosen to represent in the argument between literary and informative. Both books are similarly capable of delivering a message, but which is more powerful? Informative clearly states the facts and provide consecutive information; raises awareness for the objective, i.e. Moon Bears, whereas the literary tends to tell more of a story, perhaps information, adapted to entertain the reader, and sometimes, to educate. Because of this, I feel that the literary is much more capable of providing a powerful message, mostly informative text lacks the friendly and heart-warming story that the literary text provides.
Do you ever wonder what are the differences are between the two tribes?Well I know the two tribes that both use Tipis for housing, these two are Blackfoot and Inuit. They also live in different places with very different climates, and they also have different vegetations.
One of the most well-known urban legends told is the story of Bigfoot. Much of the research has shown that there are several names assigned to the mammoth ape. According to Napier (1973), Bigfoot would be the creature found mostly in Northwest America, Sasquatch would be a creature named in British Colombia, the 49th parallel in the north-west states of America and Northern California, and the Abominable Snowman, or the Yeti would be the creature named in the Himalayas. Of course, “Wild Man” and “Savage” have also been names used to identify the creature. There’s been thousands of sightings across the world, but there have also been many misidentifications where those who think they have seen Bigfoot have really just seen an ordinary animal or person. Arment (2006) states an individual’s perception may color the eyewitness account. Such misidentifications include: hermits, fugitives, refugees, bears, gorillas, and simply people making up stories or rumors. In addition to sightings, there have been photos, videos, movies, and TV shows that strongly indicates the possibility of the existence of this creature. Though there is much evidence from sightings, myths, and recordings that Bigfoot exists, there is also much proof that it could all be a hoax. Incorrect sightings have led skeptics to argue over the existence of this being stating Bigfoot is really just a fable. So one has to ask oneself, does Bigfoot really exist or is it just another urban legend?
The Kickapoo Indians are Algonkian-speaking Indians, related to the Sauk and Fox, who lived at the portage between the Fox and Wisconsin rivers, probably in present Columbia County, Wis., U.S., when first reported by Europeans in the late 17th century.
Many Native American tribes described the Bigfoot as cannibals, mountain devils, kidnappers, rapists, and thieves. Most Native American tribes stayed out of the Bigfoot’s territory, avoiding contact if possible. Some tribes have interaction with the Bigfoot. One example of this was in California, where the Hoopa Indians actually camped with the Bigfoot. Unfortunately, the young Bigfoot males would occasionally rape a Hoopa woman, causing elders from both tribes to agree that a split was necessary.
It can be concluded, however, that these remains did not come from any animal currently known to modern science. Bigfoot’s existence can no longer be denied. No longer is it a question of Bigfoot being real, but rather a question of man’s capability in being able to believe the truth. The facts cannot be mistaken. Besides being seen time and time again, video footage has been collected.
Is Bigfoot really a mythical creature roaming the world? Nobody can answer that question, not if our scientist today. Bigfoot is a large, hairy, apelike creature resembling a yeti, there are found in Northwestern America. There is another name that Bigfoot is called and it’s Sasquatch. Some people believe in Bigfoot and try to find it. Others who think it’s a ridiculous idea to be searching for something that no one can find. There are others who are in the middle and others who just don’t care. There are evidence from films, eyewitnesses, photographs, hair sample, and footprints.
The grizzly bear trophy hunt is an issue regarding the citizens of Canada who immorally hunt and kill grizzly bears for pride, thrill, and trophy. Many people question whether this is morally acceptable as hunters kill without a conscience. Grizzly bears are vital to Canada’s environment as they are essential to maintaining a healthy ecosystem. As keystone species, they regulate prey, disperse seeds of plants, and aerate soil to maintaining forest health. Due to the vulnerability and over-hunting of grizzly bears, Pacific Wild and many other non-profit organizations, are working to protect wildlife in British Columbia, especially the grizzly bear habitat.
Though referred to most commonly as the Blackfeet or Blackfoot, many refer to themselves as the Nitsitapiksi (Ni-tsi-ta-pi-ksi), the “Real People,” a term used by the Blackfoot to also refer to all First Peoples of the Americas (The Blackfoot Gallery Committee, 2013, 11). The term Niitsipoiyksi is used to refer to those who are “the speakers of the Real language,” that being Blackfoot, but it may also mean those who speak their Aboriginal language (The Blackfoot Gallery Committee, 2013, 11). The Blackfoot Peoples are made up of three distinct Nations the Kainai, the Piikuni and Siksika. Though this is how some Blackfoot literature refers to the Nations, it is still common to hear these Nations referred to as the Blood Nation for the Kainai, Peigan (Canada) or Blackfeet (United States) for the Piikuni, and Blackfoot or Northern Blackfoot for the Siksika (The Blackfoot Gallery C...
It is also told that stories and sightings of Bigfoot began in the Pacific Northwest, but very few are aware that sightings of this animal are not limited to this area but occur throughout areas such as the United States and Canada (Newton, “Bigfoot). It is very hard to find “hard” evidence, but to date, the only physical evidence we have of Bigfoot's existence consists of casts of large footprints, some photographs that some researchers perceive as “photoshopped” or fake, and some hair, blood, etc. True evidence is often hard to find because the prints could easily be faked by pranksters, but some footprints have been spotted and used as factual evidence. There are standing rewards that could be close to $100,000 for Bigfoot prints. I am positive that many people have seen the pictures of a furry, tall ape-like creature but refuse to believe that it is Bigfoot because there are so many fake pictures of him.
All around the world monsters are spotted contently everyday. Many of the monsters live in extraordinary circumstances. These monsters range from the chupacabra to the ancient megalodon. One of these monsters being bigfoot. Bigfoot is a very well know monster that has been in myths and stories for hundreds of years and sightings have started almost 200 years ago. One of the things many people wanted to know is how closely related bigfoot is to humans and how closely it is to apes.
For over a 150 years man has been troubled by one great mystery, a mystery that has baffled all who have witnessed it and all who have tried to solve it. This mystery is commonly known as Bigfoot, a tall hairy man/ape who lurks in the woods in almost every country on this planet. Some say it is just an ape, some believe it is a man in costume, and others are true believers of this hairy phenomenon. For more than a decade and a half this creature of myth has caused enormous contradictions in the field of science, bringing about one question. Does Bigfoot exist?
An orca, more commonly known as a killer whale, is currently one of the largest marine animals held in captivity. Countless arguments are being made, supporting and opposing captivity of orcas to be exploited as circus animals in theme parks around the world. Throughout recent history, Sea World trainers have been injured and killed by the orcas and the whales, and the whales themselves have been observed as severely depressed. If Sea World releases the whales, they would undergo an immense economic downfall and the whales would be too weak to survive in the wild if they were freed. Since the first Sea World park opened in San Diego, California in 1964, common questions have arose concerning the well-being of orcas in captivity, the dangers of humans training them, the physical capability of whales theoretically being released, and the psychological differences between whales living in the wild versus whales living in Sea World's confinement.
