What is abortion? Abortion is when a fetus is removed out of a womens womb ending her pregnancy. A woman has the right to choose to get an abortion up to her first trimester which are her first 3 months of pregnancy, after she past her first trimester she is obligated to have the baby, unless her life is at risk and they have to remove the fetus, and this is only in some states. According to "Sarah Marshall, Dilation and Evacuation (D&E) for Abortion, Webmd.Com" a woman can also have an abortion in her second trimester which requires and Dilation and Evacuation Abortion if the baby is diagnosed with any abnormal or complicated medical issues, also if the mother was raped and was emotionally traumatized, or if an abortion is delayed. That’s proof of life that’s something to be amazing and realized that this small little fetus is alive and soon to be the next generation to this world. I feel like if a pregnancy was unplanned and the parents aren 't ready for a child they should give it up for adoption. Also if it was a traumatic event as a female getting rape, I can 't say I understand why they would want to end this baby life but I could imagine the feeling of carrying the child of a monster who raped you, as I see it the child didn’t do it to you he/she didn’t asked that man to do those things to you. That baby is an innocent unborn child who wants to be born into the world and if you can 't stand looking or rising that child for the rest of your life since how you got pregnant in the first place someone else would love to be that child 's parent no matter where they came from or who their parents …show more content…
While you are getting this abortion these are a few risks that are going to happen to you while that child is being killed, you will get punctured in your uterus through this time and you may get infections and hemorrhage if any little tissue of that child is still in you.
The next type of abortion that is done to remove a child from the womb is Dilation and Curettage which according to Pro Choice it 's usually done around the seventh to twelve week of pregnancy. D&C is when the doctor inserts a loop shaped steel knife into the womb chopping the baby into pieces, and to make sure they remove every piece of that baby out of you they put all the pieces back to getting to make sure the uterus is clear.
While researching abortion I found out from "Pro Choice" that the doctor has special protection from liability. If you get hurt in anyway, receive any injuries from the procedure you has a less chance to defend your health. You cannot sued your doctor for what has happen inside your body. You as the mother are always in risk when you get an
Abortion is the termination of a human pregnancy that does not end in birth of a child. There are two types of abortion-medical abortion and surgical abortion. Medical abortion can be done before 49 days of pregnancy by using pharmaceutical drugs. Surgical abortion takes place by using surgical instruments between 6-14 weeks of pregnancy. Both methods are safe. It depends on the size of fetus and week of pregnancy. An abortion, which is the removal of a fetus from a woman’s body, should be allowed because of women’ s freedom, life opportunities and victim protection.
To those who are unaware of exactly what an abortion is; it is when a pregnant woman has a fetus removed from her womb. This can either happen by induced labor, or by an in office procedure where the woman is put under general anesthesia and the fetus is surgically removed. This procedure usually takes place under a few hours and the patient may be sent home that day.
Abortion is very cruel to the baby and even harms the mother. It is murder! There are many different procedures for abortions, all gruesome and pain inflicting on the baby. Suction Aspiration (vacuum curettage) makes up for 98% of first trimester abortions. The cervix is first dilated. Then a suction tube with a sharp cutting edge is inserted which rips the baby to pieces. It then sucks out all the remains.
...ions over her own body; whether it is parenthood, adoption, contraception, or yes, abortion. After all, it is entirely plausible for people to be personally pro-life but politically pro-choice – this suggests that they respect each individuals’ rights over his or her own body and recognize that each woman should be allowed to have options. Regardless of whether or not she chooses to have the child, it is the fact that she has a choice that is crucial, and it is imperative that each woman have the freedom of individual autonomy. In order for this to occur, abortion must continue to be legal. Ultimately, being pro-choice is not necessarily advocating the use of abortion – it is about ensuring that abortion is legal so that women may have the option to exercise their right to individual autonomy and make the decisions that best reflects their stance in life.
Martin Haskell, a doctor who has performed over a thousand Partial-Birth Abortions, these operations usually take place when the mother is in her twentieth to twenty fourth month of pregnancy. Dr. Haskell states, “And I 'll be quite frank: most of my abortions are elective in that 20-24 week range. . . . In my particular case, probably 20% [of this procedure] are for genetic reasons. And the other 80% are purely elective.” (American Medical News) He goes on to describe that many of these mothers choose this procedure simply because it is the easiest on there body, and it is also fairly quick. The hardest part for Dr. Haskell is that during the 20-24 week range some of the babies or viable, meaning that they could survive if extracted from the mother, even if it be for only a short period of time. The point of viability, done in a 2003 to 2005 study, is 20 to 35 percent of babies born at 23 weeks of gestation survive, while 50 to 70 percent of babies born at 24 to 25 weeks, and more than 90 percent born at 26 to 27 weeks, survive. At this point he sees the baby as a child and thinks about a family that could possibly adopt the baby, but then he remembers that this decision is not his it is the mother
Abortion has been the topic of controversy for many decades. Many people believe that when a woman terminates a pregnancy, she is committing murder and others argue that a woman has the right to choose life or abortion. There are different procedures to choose when having an abortion, depending on the gestational age and the woman 's health a pill form abortion may be used up to 9 weeks gestation (mifepristone and misoprostol), but for women who are over 12-weeks gestation (late-term abortion), surgical abortion is used (Berer 25). In 1973, the supreme court ruled that abortion was to be legalized, Roe vs. Wade. Women were given the legal right to choose to terminate their pregnancies and make the correct arrangements for their decisions. Different states have different restrictions to accessing abortion procedures, making the woman 's choice to terminate pregnancy less accessible. Restricting a woman 's access to appropriate abortion clinics limits her right to choose.
The birth of a child is usually a wonderful and priceless occasion. However, on June 5, 2015, an eleven-year-old girl gave birth to a newborn girl. Approximately a year before she gave birth, her 40-year-old father repeatedly sexually assaulted her. In this case, the unprepared eleven-year-old child decided to have the baby. This is a prime example that illustrates that the right to abortion should always be vested in the woman.
the womb, the doctor uses the procedure called manual vacuum aspiration or dilation and evacuation known as D&E. Both procedures use suction to empty the womb, M.V.A known as manual vacuum aspiration uses a handhold tool, while D&E is used with a suction machine and other tools. For the M.V.A procedure the latest you can wait is around twelve weeks of pregnancy. The cut off for D&E is before the end of thirteen week of your pregnancy.(“What is surgical abortion?”). Surgical abortion is nearly one hundred percent effective. In conclusion medical abortion is another procedure that occurs within a certain amount of time.
Would you want someone to take away the ability to live from you? Or can you imagine not having this life? Babies or Embryos, on the other hand, don’t have any choices like you under the mother’s womb. They can’t resist or even stand up for themselves, if the mother decides to get an abortion. Abortion is an option given to women who become pregnant. Many consider it, and many decide to have one. They believe that it is their right to choose whether or not abortion is right for them, and the baby is just helpless. Their whole future has vanished from this world. Considering the Marquis’ arguments on abortion, syllogism, and some philosophy like Kantian, I believe that abortion is immoral.
Even though we have become more socially progressive as a society, the struggle for eliminating the shaming of women who’ve received an abortion or use Planned Parenthood services continues and there right to abortion is an argument that persists because of pro life advocates and the socially conservative agenda found in the Republican party. Many republican politicians and conservative religious groups have made it difficult for women to emotionally accept themselves for choosing to have abortions but they make it physically and financially difficult for them to access those resources. Access to clinics who preform abortions has become more limited and difficult to acquire in recent years. Procedures for clinics providing multiple types of
The procedure causes health complications for the mother, inflicts pain on a living fetus, and kills the unborn baby. Late-term abortion induces innumerable physical health complications to the patient, including severe infections, extreme bleeding, and damage to the uterus. In addition, one analysis, in relation to abortion problems, states, “from 1988 to 1997 found the risk of death increased by 38% for each additional week of gestation, during the pregnancy.” (Jones).
I believe that a baby that only has a two percent chance of even making it to birth, and then if it is born will only likely live for a day the parents should have the option of abortion. That being said I think that if someone is in that situation they can have the bab, give it all the love you can in its short life. That baby is yours, and there is nothing that could upset me more than giving a baby that could have one amazing day on earth no chance at all. Either way the baby is going to die, in one way it is murder and for what? So he doesn’t suffer? Nothing shows that he wouldn’t suffer in an abortion, science shows that babies in the womb being aborted can feel the pain of it, to me that is suffering, and he didn’t even get the chance for life at all, or to feel the loving arms of his family being there for him. If he dies after being born he gets the chance at life, he gets to meet his family, be loved by all and know nothing in this world but
This way is proven to have more complications, but also to be 100% effective. Of course, the risk of complications always depend on how far along a patient is. Most surgical abortions are often performed and are at less risk for complications during the first trimester of pregnancy. Women tend to have heavy bleeding for several weeks after the abortion as well as severe back pain and abdominal pain. Another common type of abortion is dilation and extraction. This is most common after eighteen weeks of pregnancy (Planned Parenthood. )This procedure is usually where a baby may be photographed after coming out of the womb as it remains intact. With this method, the head of the fetus is reduced in diameter to allow an easy passage from the cervix and vagina. This procedure is done over multiple days. Another procedure is dilation and curettage. It is a simple surgical procedure in which the doctor will place a surgical instrument into the uterus and remove the lining before the fetus has really even begun to develop (Planned Parenthood). Usually during this procedure, the doctor will suggest anesthesia because it can be quite painful (Abortion
Abortion has been one of the most talked about topics in society just about anywhere from television, magazines, whether or not it should be the right or wrong thing to do. Abortion is a very sensitive issue to discuss, because of its nature. Many people have said that abortion is a very bad thing to do and it should not even be choice whether or not to abort a living fetus. People think that abortion is committing murder as it is killing the human fetus. However, others feel that a woman should have a voice and have the right to choose to keep the child or not and that it is not murder until the baby is born. Majority of individuals who believe that abortion is bad say that the fetus is human who is partly being formed and to have an abortion is considered to be murder. For the people who think an abortion is ok, say that it’s not considered murder unless the child is born. I believe that abortion should be seen in which the stage the fetus is in. if the fetus is in an early stage of pregnancy it is not considered murder, but if the fetus has already began to develop into a larger fetus then it is indeed considered to be murder. There are times when abortion can be accepted, if the mother is having complications due to pregnancy. For example if the mother is enduring complications in her pregnancy that can harm her, because of the child in that case it is ok to perform an abortion to help save the mother’s life. It is also very important to understand this type of situation. The mother has the right to have an abortion and it is her decision because a mother knows best about her health conditions.
There are different methods of abortion commonly performed depending on length of pregnancy. One is through a medication and the other methods are procedures which take place in a clinic, including longing (the most common method) and D&E (dilation and evacuation). All of these methods, when performed by healthy care professionals, are very safe. Abortion is only safest in the first 6-10 weeks of pregnancy.
