is September eleventh; America wakes up to a bright, sunny, beautiful, and promising day. Zoom! A plane flies by, and crashes into the World Trade Center. Clouds as black as night hover in the air as bright orange fire consumes the upper floors of the building. Who is to blame for such horror and destruction? This day that will live in infamy was caused by terrorists who entered to our country through immigration. In America there has been an all time high for immigration. With all the immigrants flowing in, legal and illegal; there has been a big controversy between people on the topic of immigration, and what to do with all of the immigrants. Even though immigrants come here for their own benefit, the United States needs to stop all immigration …show more content…
The 9/11 hijackers used immigrant system to get into America(Camarota). If we did not have immigration into our country then the terrorist attack that occurred on September 11 would have never happened. Therefore, if we stop letting immigrants into our country it is less likely for them to be able to perform such horrific acts on our people. Furthermore, since so many immigrants are trying to enter our country the social workers are overloaded and might make mistakes(Camarota). When a social worker makes a mistake the American people are put at risk because they might have just let in an awful person who could commit a terrorist attack.Terrorists that have gotten in to America are sending fake passports and money to other terrorists(Krikorian). By letting terrorist in the country we have made a gateway for other radical Islamics to get into our country. The immigrants in our country pose no real benefits; they take our money and some put the lives of our people at risk. Even though “Immigration [could] pay off again for America if we reshape our policy, organizing it around what's good for the economy by welcoming workers we truly need” …show more content…
Mark Krikorian who is the director of the Center for Immigration Studies suggests that kids with immigrant parents were arrested for running an Al Qaeda terrorist cell(“Immigration Must Be Restricted”). If immigrants come into our country without being terrorist there is a chance they can be convinced. These kids parents weren’t terrorist yet they were persuaded by Al Qaeda to join their fight and rebel against America. Even though these kids never got to perform their attack they were plotting one which means all the Americans in that are were in danger. Also contributing to the argument, there are over 4million illegal immigrants in the USA(Wooldridge). Illegal immigrants can be hired for cheap and don’t pay taxes. This means that, people are living in the citizens country, eating the citizens food, and taking the citizens job. After doing those awful things they proceed to not pay taxes and which means that they are taking and not giving back. Another example was when a “father, Cristobal crashed his van. He had no license or insurance. Taxpayers paid for all hospital bill”(Wooldridge).Taking our money, immigrants who are here legally sit comfortably using welfare checks, and illegal immigrants get to stay here, work jobs and do many other things without paying taxes. If an American citizen had no insurance and was in a wreck the American would have to pay for
There are a bunch of conspiracies in this world and there's a few on the tragedy that happened on September 11, 2001. One of the theories is that inside traders knew about the attacks before they happened. As said in an article, “in the days before 9/11 there was a huge increase in the number of put options purchased on their airlines, compared to the normal average daily volume.”(Davis) Before I explain what that means the article also mentioned, “ this huge increase in the volume of put options suggests that the people buying these put options knew in advance that 9/11 was about to happen.” (Davis) What the quotes are saying, is that a few days before 9/11, out of nowhere, there was an huge increase in the airlines, that were hijacked, stock markets. The conspiracy theory is that the government was aware of the attacks the entire time but because they were making profit, this did nothing about it.
Did you know America is a nation built on immigrants? (Schwartz,2017). Immigration is a very popular topic right now and it's important to talk about it. Keeping innocent people out of our country based on fear is not right. Immigrants and terrorists are two different words, but some people may believe it is one. It is not right to keep immigrants out of our country based on religion, gender, or ethnicity. My reasons are immigrants are in need of help, we need to stick to our values, and they make a contribution to America. As you keep reading you will understand why.
One of the most devastating terrorist attacks in United States history, 9/11, has taken the
September 11, 2001 is known as the worst terrorist attack in United States history. On a clear Tuesday morning, there were four planes that were hijacked and flown into multiple buildings by a terrorist group named al Qaeda. This group, led by Osama bin Laden, killed nearly 3,000 people. Out of those 3,000 people more than 400 police and 343 firefighters were killed along with 10,000 people who were treated for severe injuries. Many lives were taken, and to this day, people still suffer from the attack. September 11th is the most influential event of the early twenty-first century because it made an increase in patriotism, it caused a rise in security throughout the nation, and it had a tremendous effect of thousands of lives.
There were numerous events and threats leading up to the terrorists attacks on the World Trade Center which left chaos amongst the streets of downtown New York City and would leave America and its families devastated and prone to change after this infamous date in our nation’s history. What happened on September 11th, 2001 was without a doubt both horrific and ill natured. Multiple terrorists hijacked several US airliners that would later be flown into the North and South towers, the Pentagon, and also an unintended area in Pennsylvania. It can be said that the United States of America was unprepared and vulnerable for these occurrences.
It has been a long debated topic whether or not America should continue to let immigrants enter the country. Often, the immediate response would be to withhold more immigrants to come in since there are many existing immigrants already living everywhere around the United States. But the truth is that the immigrants who come in are undoubtedly helping America much more than they harm it. Examples of how the immigrants help would be the economy becoming more powerful, diverse culture, more variety, and even creating job opportunities. By maintaining an open gate for immigrants, the benefits that they bring will definitely outweigh the problems which will create a greater America.
On September 11, 2001 the United States of America was targeted for a terrorist attack. This attack, known as 9/11, has many theorized and some proved causes. 9/11 has affected America greatly and even continues to now. Effects began in September, 2001 and continues all the way to modern time. Major effects include social, political and economical effects that are within the country. Another major effect is America’s response to her foreign culprits. There are many causes and effects of the 9/11 attack on the United States of America.
On September 11, 2001 terrorists crashed two American airline airplanes into Twin Towers, killing thousands of people. It was the worst terrorist attack in American history and it showed us that we are not protected by Atlantic and Pacific. It showed us that we could be attacked by anyone at anytime. It showed us that if we will be attacked again that we can only depend on each other and not on other nations to help us. The 9/11 changed people forever, some lost family members or friends, others lost their jobs even so called “American Dream.”
September 11, 2001 marked one of the most tragic events in United States history. As a way to assure the safety and wellbeing of U.S. citizens shortly after being attacked by al-Qaeda, President Bush stated, “Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts may shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve”. Although President Bush was seen a source of security during a time of need, many citizens felt that his words were not genuine and part of a dramatic story the government wanted its people to believe. Despite the side taken, both perspectives of the argument can agree that the U.S. was attacked by a series of coordinated suicide attacks by al-Qaeda. On that Tuesday morning, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and the fourth into a field in rural Pennsylvania after passengers fought back against the terrorist to try and regain control of the plane. This is the story the government wants its people to believe. However, the truths about the attacks on 9/11 are much more frightening. On September 11th, 2001, the United States government betrayed its citizens by allowing the destructive attacks on the Twin Towers, WTC-7, the Pentagon, and Shanksville.
Currently, the immigration process of America is quite flawed, requiring years of waiting and a noteworthy surge of money. Back in the early history of the United States, President Thomas Jefferson saw the benefits of large-scale immigration; as it offered cheap labor, provided technology for renovation, and connections to trade at the time (Martin). Many years and many events have come to pass since then, including the terrorist attack towards the Twin Towers of Manhattan, New York...
9/11 was one of the darkest days in America, but some say the government could have been part of these attacks. For many years people have debated about the 9/11 cover up. This theory cannot explain why the government would do this. Once people understand why the 9/11 cover up is fake, they will begin to see the answer to their problem, could the government have done this? This conspiracy theory is wrong because, terrorists admitted to the attacks, so many people died, and there's no evidence against the government.
Total inhalation of immigration would not be a healthy choice for the United States. However, setting out for stricter laws to become a citizen is in need. There are over 11.7 million illegal immigrants in the United States (poll 2011). Therefore, having restrictions on immigration overall can help the economy grow, security at airports, docs, borders, and on the streets would not only lessen the illegal immigrants around the country, but supply more jobs for Americans. Illegal immigrants not only live in the U.S, but are supplied jobs in which were made for American workers.
... Jessica. “Should We Keep Them Out?” Time Oct. 2001.). If America would have tightened its security to begin with there would not be this problem. All because of the lack of the U.S. immigration policy, America is left only with the memories of those who lost their live on September eleventh.
I found that many articles are supporting immigration reform and think that if changes are to be made, it should include letting these people come into our country and help us better our country in whole. Although I believe immigration can be beneficial to our country, others disagree. In the article, Don’t Dismiss Terror Threat from Unguarded Southwest Border, stated, “It is understood by U.S. law enforcement and intelligence circles that important players, in both the Mexican drug cartels and in certain transnational gangs based in El Salvador, have a long association with and personal connects to members of terror groups” (Handelsman). I agree with the fact that we have to be extremely careful with who enters our country because of the terrorism and etc, but we have to remember that most immigrants are the ones who work hard for us and in some cases, invented online databases we use such as
Erik Erikson's theory of psychosocial development has eight stages at various time periods in a human's life. These stages consist of a crisis which the person must overcome to develop a proper functioning psychological standing. His theory of psychosocial development is organized by age groups just like Jean Piaget's cognitive development theory, where both acknowledge the extreme difference between children and adults. While Piaget only has four categories though, Erikson has eight that are classified as crises. When a crisis is finished, and the person has properly completed that period of their life, they also develop basic virtues that builds their character.
