nurses? Okay perfect. In reference to the pediatrician, he is the only one close by. It is underatadable then we should be treated better because the children are born here and we all are equal but I do not understand the reason for distinguishing us. I feel that the work that a person performs, their carrier has to be something that people enjoy. So it will be feel like a job instead like a hobby and I feel that people in that office is doing a force work like something that they do not enjoy doing. It is like when you work on a factory and it puts you on a bad mood, then why did they choose that carrier because I understand they were able to choose. But, are we talking about the doctors? Yes, the doctors. No about the…? It is like when a …show more content…
poor person goes to the hospital and the hospital personnel treat you like… however, you suppose to enjoy what you are doing, you pick it. The teacher tell us the same. Marisol, number 5. What type of information would you like to receive in order to improve your medical service? For example: A car. It is not about the vehicle model but instead on how a car will allow you to have a greater selection… Is there any other question that you would like to receive assistance or that you would like to have assistance on? By having transportation, I can find a place that will treat me better However, no all the clinics can see you. For example, if I want to go to another clinic. The new clinic tells me that they cannot see me because I live outside its zone. I am not familiar with thte area but someone gave me a phone number for Lincoln clinic. I called the place and they explained to me that I could not get an appointment because I did not live in that area, it is a requirement to live in the area in the county zone. That means that access to healthcare is a big problem. Well, fine. We are going to ask you questions about your family, about your family meals. I fyou could describe to me a typical meal in your house. Do you eat in the kitchen or in the dining room? Do you eat all together or separate? Do you follow the American schedule? In my case, I do not have lunch until two pm, I tried to keep my schedule like I did in Spain. Do the children seat down with you on the table? Do you have the TV on? How is it, in your house? My children were not used to have breakfast because the school bus used to pick them up at 8am; however, now they are having breakfast (The rest of the answer does not make sense).
It is all bout Hispanic mothers and mothers in general supporting each other during the morning that we have to go to work. Therefore, the children are used to have breakfast in the morning, bread with coffee or with milk. In the afternoon they seat down to eat on the table but what I do not like is that sometime the get their tablets. I asked them to turn it off! The children are eating with the tablet next to them. I have to tell them that tablets are not allow on the table. Sudently, they all want to do the same. I understand you perfectly. In my case, we all weak up at the same time. We are all up by 7 am and we all have breakfast, we are always together for breakfast. The only problem is…(the answer does not make sense). The children like to go to the neighbor house and I have to call them “food is ready” and they all come running. Sometimes they come to the table with their tablets or if their toys and I have to tell then that we need to seat down to eat, they seat down but they want to play with their toys and I say “ put the toy to the saide” and then they do not want to eat. I do not if I should take their toys away or not? At the time to eat or have
breakfast… More experiences? At home, we all have breakfast together. The girls… they have a schedule… there is a time for playing and time for homework. Yes, because I have two little girld that stay at home and … (the answer does not make sense). After they arrive from school, the children eat and later play for a while and all over again… wake up, get up and breakfast. The same rutine, very similar. Over there, Clara, Patricia, Estela, Maria? Well, my son… because it is cold now. Coffe and … in the afternoon, after he finished his homework and go to practice his writing. He does not has too much time because his writing practice starta at 6:15pm and get back home around 7:30pm. I sent him to take a shower and after it, we all have dinner together. My husband arrive at 5pm or 6pm after work. In reference to the example, I remembered when I was a little girld, my dad did not care too much where we were until dinner time because we all eat together, and it was the time that we all share together. It is important for the families, it is necessary to make an efford to get together. What do you think about it? It is important to make the efford, like I even when the food is ready, we wait for my daughter the oldest one, even when at times she does not arrive until 4:30. We always wait to eat together or watch TV. In my house, it is a little complicated however, I tried that on Saturday and Sunday we spend time together. I work from Monday to Friday and it is difficult for me because my daughter normally leave at 8:30 am and I have to leave myson by 8 am. We try to have breakfast together but …(the answer does not make sense) because after my daughter arrive from school, she helps my son with homework and by the time I get home at 11:30 am they are sleeping. Sometimes my son is awake and he asked me for milk. The fathers and mothers that work have thing a little more complicated. Is there something about the meal time that worries you? For example, the toys. Do you let them play with them or not? Is there another child behavior that concerns you? The classic, I do not like the food. Sometime, I have to tell my son “look, If you do not eat that…? He does not like beans and for him to eat them, it is a drama. My daughter, when she eats… it is like she does not get use to eat something different. For lunch and dinner, we always have ensalada and avocados. If there is not avocado, she asks for it and I donnot know what else to do, so she can eat… My daughters, I have one daughter that like’s stew broccoli but the other one does not because at school they do not cook it like that. Therefore, I have to make a lot of food, hoping they would eat the same things but cooked in a different way. If a cook seafood, my little one does not like shrimp and if I made shrimp soup, I have to cook something different for her because she does not like the flavor or shrimp even if I take it out of the soup. She does not want to eat the soup, she says “you put shrimp on it, I saw you” she does not want to eat it, it seems like she wants to be a vegetarian. She saw me slidding turkey legs for a meal and later she did not want to eat it. Why do you slide the turkey? No, mom what are you doing now, what is it?. “These are the legs”, why do you do this to the turkey?. I tell her that the turkey is death when we eat it. By the tiem of dinner, she did not eat and told her sister: “you are eating the turkey sister” Do they speak Spanish to each other? They mixed English and Spanish, the older one sometime comes home and do not want to speak Spanish so her sister starts talking in English to her. Is there another problem at the time of having meals? My son likes to get up of the table, he feels he want to go to the bathroom always when he is eating, “ I want to go to the bathroom”, I said “ no you have to hold it until you finish your food”. He always wants to go to the bathroom and I tell him that I know he asks to go to the bathroom because he does not like the food. It is the excuse to get out of the situation. Is there something that you would like to change from your rutine? Like seating on the table, the schedule, what do you want to change? That stop from jumping around, if my daughter drop something, she gets up to pick it up and keeps doing the same thing, like she is preocupade for what is going on around her. I tell her that nothing is going on but she says “yes, mom, my spoon fell down”. Always the same thing, like she does it on purpose like a game. If there anything else? Have you been able to maintain the customs that you used to have before you came here to Oxford or USA? Like I said, I always keep my same food schedule because I like to eat late. All my life, I came here when I was … All my life eating late and I continue eating at 12. In your case, are there any customs that you have been able to keep or that you have not been able to keep from your childhood? Like always, the food schedule? Work or if you have to left your children at times with another person? Like in our countries, we get home and the food is ready. Anyone else? What about information? Would you like to get information about child’s behavior?like for example what to do so your son can stop from moving around? Something else? Like parents, we not always have all the answers and we find troubles that we need help with. Therefore, part of what we want to do with the information that you provide us is to look for the information that you need. Besides your children jumping around, is there anything else that you would like to get information about?. Okay, we will look for something to keep the children quiet.
Nursing is definitely a great discourse community. But you’re probably wondering, what is a discourse community? Well John Swales, who is a professor of linguistics and co-director of the Michigan corpus of Academic Spoken English at the University of Michigan, wrote a book called “Genre Analysis” that explained what discourse community is and the characteristics for identifying what takes part as a discourse community. Swales defines discourse community as centrifugal; In other words, it tends to separate people into occupational or specialty-interest groups (Swales, John. “Genre Analysis” Writing about Writing. Wardle, et al. 220). So basically he’s saying that it is a group of people who communicate about similar interests that they have in common with each other. With that said, Nursing does count as a discourse community because it’s a field of people who share similar interests, value, and goals in their lives. Discourse communities takes place all around the world and plays an important role in communication. There is no way others can understand others without the use

Licensed practical nurses (LPN 's) fill an important role in modern health care practices. Mealtime seems to be one of the most affected to society eyes. Choose foods wisely that are simple and easy to handle because kids eats in hurry, so that they get time to play.
During my childhood years, I always had a constant interest in the caring of people, and would often play the "Pretend & Play Doctor Kit" and the classic "Operation" boardgame with my brother. While the years have passed by, I often reminisced into wondering what it would be like to be a nurse and if it were for me. Then, a radical event had occurred to me in my last year of high school. Through my school counselor's recommendation to attend a special event and find out if nursing were for me, I met a girl named Cecilia diagnosed with down syndrome and her beloved worrying mother at Tropical Park. The park was fastidiously arranged from a nonprofit sports organization called Special Olympics for all sorts of sportgames, and I was assigned to Cecilia as her partner for a race.
Education is one of the greatest determinants. Relatively simply, the more schooling people have the better their health is likely to be. Though closely linked to income and occupation, the evidence indicates education exerts the strongest influence on health. This has been demonstrated in multiple facets over the past forty years. For instance, further formal education displays a frequent correlation with lower death rates; less education the opposite. In addition, studies show higher levels of risky health behaviors such as smoking and obesity, to be associated with less schooling (Freudenberg & Ruglis, 2007). As such, finishing secondary school has become a useful measure of educational attainment due to its influence on health.
I would then separate children in two groups and have them sit at two different tables.
