No Guns, No Protection!
American citizens need guns for a lot of reasons, self defense, protection for their family, and hunting. How would you feel if guns were taken away from citizens and during the night a criminal broke into your house and you had no protection. Now of course if all guns were taken away the bad guy would not have a gun right? No. If a law was made that banned guns, all of the law abiding citizens would turn in their guns to the government. All of the criminals who have never obeyed the law to begin with, won’t start to obey just because they will get in trouble if they don’t, actually the criminals will start to break the same laws more because they know that bystanders can’t protect themselves.

One reason that the founding fathers wrote the second amendment was because they wanted the citizens to have a defense if the government went tyrannical like it did in Germany right before World War II and in France in the 19th century. The founding fathers knew that the government could go tyrannical in the future so they decided that the best way to insure or prevent that from happening is to allow citizen to have firearms. Our founding fathers wanted America ‘s citizens to have control over the government by voting on political positions, and having representatives to give the government citizen’s idea’s and thoughts. This is what makes America different from the other countries that we fought to become independent from. Making a law that outlaws guns would make our country that much more to going back to king and queen are the rulers.
