Is taking a nap during the day a good practice for adults? i think its a great practice, done correctly it can not only refresh you but also boost your mood.In a 1995 study military pilots and astronauts who took a forty minute nap were 100% more alert and their performance improved by 34%(naps benefit both mind and body).These subjects not only were more alert but performed better than those that didnt nap. That is incredible, people with jobs of such importance benefit from napping.
With my large background in construction type work having to do hard manual labor and waking up at five a.m. six days a week i wish it was just easy to say "hey boss im gonna go take a nap". It is near impossible and you would get laughed at or fired on the spot .So im understanding of the argument behind the negative side, some workers would sleep during lunch break and come back to slack even harder than before and the other employess would have to pick up the pace beacause of the one person who was groggy and performed even worse but for those who work office jobs etc. I think would benefit from the "nap pods" that some companies now provide.

In conclusion, the moderately enhanced results leads to think that the naps did have positive effects on all three test results, but not to the extend that was hypothesized. Perhaps a more ordered and organized napping and sleep schedule would allow for greater and more significant improvements. A further analysis in the domain of effects of napping on performance, either cognitive or physical, should strive to measure the impact of tightly arranged schedule to allow for naps to occur at relatively the same time everyday, as well as having a similar length, paired with comparable amount of sleep the night prior to engaging in napping. This would allow assessing the true effects of naps on an individual much more effectively.
Having eight or more hours of sleep can help with mood, memory, focus, and learning and also having mental and physical effects.Getting eight or more hours of sleep has mental and physical effects such as all of medical levels that keep people alive in this day and age such as testosterone.Teen are affected , too, by falling asleep in class or at a job. A person that gets 8 or more hours of sleep will have a better mood and be more aware throughout the day.
