know before you go off to college. You parents do the same thing, in a way, so as a parent they want the kids to be safe as much as possible. If the school is that dangerous, just have better security around the school. Have more police than usual guard the school. The kids may still feel uneasy about this, but that is better than having a teacher possessing a gun, because the police are trained with firearms and will make better decisions. They are used to being in chaotic situations, and usually make the right decisions on the fly with things as dangerous as guns and killers. A teacher is not ready for that, a few lives could be taken before the teachers reacts and stops the murder.

valid reason behind it. If you are buying your little boy or girl toy guns like nerf guns, pellet guns, or BB guns, it is not the smartest thing because he is just going to get comfortable shooting it at trees or other objects. When they get older, they are going to start shooting kids with it because that is just what kids do. It is going to hurt a little bit, but kids think causing each other pain is funny. It could just be by accident as well sometime they could just point the gun at a friend because it is just a joke but that is usually a disaster waiting to happen. I say a disaster waiting to happen because last January a cop killed a 17 year old kid in New York because he was holding a toy gun to a detectives head. Politicians want to ban toy guns because they say they are too realistic. Officers do not know if the gun is real or not, so as any other cop they are going to take a chances of that gun being real and detective’s life being at risk so they are going to shoot. “Police do not have time to figure out if a gun is fake when faced with a life-or-death decision” (“Toy Guns against the Law: Should Toy Guns Be Banned?”). It is tough on police when a situation like this happens because either way something bad is happening either decision they make here. They either kill or injure a young kid or the detective gets killed because the gun is actually a real one. Police go through a lot already constantly arresting criminals or pulling people over for speeding. They always feel like they are the bad guy and I know some of them do want to be that guy even though they have to do it. None of us could imagine that pain of killing by accident trying to be the hero of a situation like this, you can do nothing but feel bad for them. Something tragic like this can easily be stopped from happening again if toy gun become banned. If that was your kid that got killed by that cop because you bought him that toy gun or that he wanted to go buy you would for sure support this decision needs to be finalized by the government. Exposing pre-teens to violent video games could mess with their head the wrong way if they are playing game like this at such a young age.
For example Grand Theft Auto Five is what kids and everyone is playing now a days. In that game you are constantly killing people and the graphics are getting extremely detailed. You use to only be able to play that game in third person mode which does not look as realistic when you are killing somebody for you missions. Now, you can play in first person mode and that is a terrible mistake the game made, because in that mode it actually looks like you are actually killing people. You are going around committing mass murder stabbing people and shooting everyone. It is not a good message for kid because they could get older and do what they did in the video game but it is actually lives they are taking. That game is rated M for Mature and you need to be eighteen to play that game which makes since because you are mature enough at that age. As parents no matter how bad the young pre-teen wants the game you do not need to get it for them because you are the parent do not feel bad for not giving them what they want. The government wants to become stricter selling violent games to minors. Some stores think that is a good idea. Other stores argue and think some violent games are okay for 13-17 year olds to play. The government just does not want kid to grow up killers because they have been exposed to violent games at such a young
age.

At first glance it seems like the videogame might be the catalyst here, but upon closer inspection we can see that the big issue here is that there was the eight year old child had both unmonitored access to violent media that is intended for ages 17 and up, and unmonitored access to a loaded weapon. Adequate parenting in spite of the lack of supported scientific research being applied to this situation would have more than likely resulted in the survival of the elderly caregiver of the young boy.
Americans are faced with a huge problem of violence in the streets, these streets have become a place where old people are beaten for their social security checks, where little women are attacked and raped, where teen aged thugs shoot it out for some turf to sell their illegal drugs, and finally where small children everyday are caught in the way of bullets during drive by shootings. We try to ignore the criminals in our society and how they hurt it, but we shouldn’t. We should take actions to stop these acts of crazy people. And people try, but the hard work of some misguided individuals to stop the legal ownership of guns doesn’t really affect the problem at all, and takes the guns from the innocent citizens, who simply want means of self defense.
Gun control, in and of itself, is not evil or even a bad idea. The biggest issue is that, for the most part, it is not particularly successful.

Allowing teachers and staff to carry guns could lower that number. Some people may disagree with it, saying that it would be teaching students violence. School shootings would be a thing of the past if staff were armed.
Kids will look at a game and copy everything from it. Kids don’t know any better they think everything. Teens would play games all day until one day they would lose it and jus take a gun and kill everyone around them or that’s in their way. Game makers really shouldn’t make violent games because of those reasons they don’t think that a game could harm anyone life THINK AGAIN! Games are really harmful. Game makers think oh this game can’t do anything it can’t really mess up a child’s mind and plus they can’t get them anyway its rated R. a parent would still get a rated R game for a child if that child or teen is spoiled.
The first reason video games are an issue is that many video games made today possess content that many people would consider to be obscene. The term obscene covers violence, profanity, and sexual images (obviously). Such videogames are usually branded with the M (mature audiences only) rating on the front of the videogame cover. This means that only players seventeen or older should be playing such games. However, many children around the ages of twelve and under are acquiring these video games as gifts or are purchasing the games themselves. Therefore, it can be assumed that the parents are purchasing M-rated games for their children, and that stores are willingly selling these young children M-rated games. As Paul Keegan says, parents are not following these ratings and stores are not enforcing them, thus allowing young children to view content that is considered obscene (6). Thus, if parents understand and follow the various video game rating labels, and if stores enforce the videogame rating system, then young children will not be as easily able to view mature material.
Gun control is an awfully big issue in the United States today. Many people in America don’t agree with the gun control laws that they have today. Gun control laws only take guns and freedom away from law-abiding citizens. Many citizens have their own reasons for owning a gun. Why would the government want to make it harder for people to own a gun? People that own guns aren’t very likely to be attacked by criminals. Owning a handgun is one of the best ways of protection when used correctly. The second amendment states “the right to bear arms”; does this grant everyone the right to own a gun? Gun control laws have not been proven to do anything for citizens. Gun control laws just make it harder for the good guy average Joe to own a gun. Gun control laws are not a good idea, and are taking part in the loss of our freedom that was given to us.
All handguns must be banned because they are the cause (s) of many deaths amongst the people of the world today. Gun violence result in fifty percent of today’s tragedies. Handguns causes too many deaths, the government need to make gun less accessible, and the law/law enforcement need to really enforce the laws they make.
People kill people not guns Each year over 30,000 Americans die, along with the thousands that are paralyzed. These deaths are all caused by one thing, the split second when the trigger of a gun is pulled. It doesn’t matter whose finger was on the trigger in death is death, whether it was an accident or not. They claim that criminals would be less likely to use guns or commit violent crimes if they had reason to believe that targeted citizens, or others around them, might also be armed and able to defend themselves.

And on Call of Duty Ghosts they make different types of missions. Before you even start a match as they call it you go through the different types of guns and tactical you can choose from. So during the game you can call a helicopter to drop a bomb and it will kill all the people. Which doesn't make any sense, and this is where censorship would come in and try to band these games from kids. But everyone knows that wouldn't do but so much because the mature audience want this game so it is going to stay in the market, parents could try to fight to get it banned but i'm sure they would lose. So basically what I am trying to get at is that censorship is a good and bad thing at the same time.
Students should never feel anxious and doubtful around their teacher on thinking they might cause an accident or create destruction. Jonathan Grammer, 15, a sophomore at Brookhaven High School said he worries that a teacher could snap and begin shooting. He said there's only one out of the seven of his teachers, he would feel comfortable with having a gun in the classroom.(Clarion Ledger) Think about our own school for a moment. How would you feel if you knew some adults were carrying concealed weapons in this school? The youth also need more connection to mental health, whether in the school or in the community as well.
If these students did not have a gun, how would they have completed the crime they were attempting? Robbing a store with a knife is a lot harder than robbing it with a firearm. Overall, It has been proven that the presence of guns does not decrease the amount of crime. In fact, guns aid many students in committing crimes, and areas with more guns had more assaults than other areas with less guns. Further supporting the idea that guns do not deter enough crimes compared to how many they cause, there comes the issue of self defense.
Violent video games have become more realistic every year. Children spend about 40 hours seated in front of a screen killing cartoon characters. It has been debated whether minors under the age of 18 should play violent video games that contain physical harm, killing, and sexual assault. In the contrary, people say video games increases the capacity of learning of children, but violent video games cause great damages. Although there are an increase learning skills playing video games, violent video games should be prohibited to minors because it changes an individual behavior, physical, and brain.
