Gun Management Should we ban guns or keep guns. This is a question many people wonder in their heads. It is quite a controversial topic now. People believe guns cause harm and some believe they don’t. It is a fact that states and countries which have sticker gun laws, don’t have less gun violence, they have even more. Yet people still want to ban guns. However, guns do not kill people, people kill people. Which is why guns shouldn’t be banned. Guns are something which gives people safety and protection. Guns are a way for people to defend themselves when no one is around. They can help you from getting mugged, raped and attacked. They are there for defense. “Chicago which has some of the strictest gun laws, yet their murder rate has gone up 25%.” (Ellen Grace) Gun rights are defended by the second amendment and are something which aren’t able to be taken away from a person. Which is why gun violence increases. There has been a lot of crimes with guns. There have been mass murders, gun theft, and armed robberies. When guns fall into the wrong hands things can go bad. “There he shot six adults and pumped as many as eleven shots each into the heads of 20 children who were 6 and 7 years old.” (Jack Lessenberry) This was a mass murder crime which was all because of guns going into the wrong people’s hands. “Gun violence alone killed 3,067 American children and teens.
